WR Rashee Rice, KC (3 Viewers)

I didn't see the game and I wasn't disappointed in his output yesterday at all but...this feels like a "too many mouths to feed" offense for him to truly be featured. In a game they were well behind for a good chunk of it, he only got 7 targets, same as Worthy. The short plunge td helped a ton.
Lot of pressure on Mahomes with both tackles out. Bills had a great plan on offense and a great plan to contain Mahomes' scrambling as well. In game scripts like that where the Chiefs can't get off the field and are going 3 and out themselves it's tough to get a ton of volume.

I think Sunday was a clarifying game for them, they seemed to try to involve other people and unless Rice was blanketed, and he may have been, they were trying to get worthy going on deep shots. Worthy is not right, I dont know if he stinks but he isn't the guy in the playoffs last year

I think its going to be a full force dose of Rice to make a playoff push.

Any thoughts on RR health for Thursday expectations?
I would think, if he really did have a hammy issue, he wouldn't have "played through it." That seems pretty risky. Makes me think it was just cramping yesterday.

^This^ is what it looked like to me. After he slid for the win after catching that long crosser in OT... he immediately sat upright and started pulling back on his toes.

Dude covered a LOT of ground in the second half of that game.

Cramps make a lot more sense than hamstring. Players should never mess around with hamstring injuries. Those can derail entire seasons, (see Bruce, Isaac). If he tweaked it and went back in...that's crazy. I really hope that isn't what happened.

Next Gen Stats
Rashee Rice hauled in 6 receptions for 136 yards in the seams in the Chiefs' Week 12 win over the Colts, the 2nd-most of any player in a game this season.

Rice also totaled a career-high 103 YAC, gaining 10+ YAC on three separate plays in the 2nd half.

The bolded is confusing me. Do they mean for any Chiefs player in a game this season? Because no way 136 yard is the 2nd most for any player in the NFL. JSN alone has gone over that amount at least twice.

“In the seams”

Rashee Rice (hamstring) was a full practice participant Tuesday - per Rotowire
Must have been a cramp.
In his hamstring.
I’ve had a cramp and a pulled hamstring. Two different things. I used to cramp playing 6 hours of basketball. My dog jerked away from me on his leash causing me to pull my hamstring. The difference is the cramps went away after a hot bath. The pull not so much. It hurt for weeks.

Are you saying you can't have a cramp in your hamstring?

Honest question, I'm pretty sure I have had one but, I'm not 100% sure that isn't a false memory.

No, not what I was saying. In my case I was saying one was a cramp of the hamstring and the other was a pulled / stained hamstring .

Is rice value in redraft ppr equal to or greater than a lower tier rb1 (Henry,Jacobs,Javonte)?
Site ROS points marginally better, but I’m not so sure

Hamstring cramps can be very intense. Pickle juice is the cure and a few minutes later everything returns back to normal. The science behind this isn't completely understood but apparently it shuts off the signals from your brain to the muscle in question. It does work I can attest. A few minutes of intense pain vs. 10-15 minutes without the juice.

Hydration is the key with balanced electrolytes for prevention. Think Gatorade.

His full season pace would be:

167 targets
119 catches
1434 yards
17 TDs

That would be better than any season by Justin Jefferson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Mike Evans, or even Davante Adams have ever had. Only Chase (2024), Lamb (2023), Hill (2023, 2018) Kupp (2021), and Deebo (2021) would beat that from the last decade.

JSN is on pace for better as well, and only behind Kupp and Chase.

Dude knock it off. You know there’s a difference between an NFL Hamstring Injury and a Cramp.

He had a cramp.

This is not the hill you want to die on. Go grab some coffee
