WR Skyy Moore, SF (1 Viewer)

only for Kelce to be the WR1 on the Chiefs.

Per usual. Every year we try and figure out who is WR1 on the Chiefs offense, and it doesn't seem to matter. Kelce is big dog. Kelce eats.
Every year? Last year was the first one without a true WR1. The 5 previous years it was Hill and it very much did matter. People are acting like Mahomes not having a WR1 is a trend rather than 1 year out of 5.
This is true. Unless Kelce goes down are we just trying to figure out which receiver has a chance at 900 yards this year? Skyy, MVS, Toney, James, Ross… I personally think Richie James will lead the group, but it is a crapshoot.

Chiefs beat reporter Jesse Newell said Skyy Moore “has been with [the first-team offense] every rep at camp” when the Chiefs run two receiver sets.
If this is any indicator, then it sounds like Moore is locked into a starting role heading into this season. We’ll have a more definite answer on this in the coming weeks, but as Newell notes, Moore has been working with the first team in two receiver sets, while Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross have “occasionally mixed in” with the first team — although they’ve been primarily with the second team. Moore is going well outside the top 36 receivers in fantasy drafts right now and could be in a prime position to outplay his ADP in a starting role.

Quietly feeling optimistic on this one right now. Picked him up for what ended up being an early 2nd during the season last year after that 2 game stretch where he received an uplift in targets and routes run, before he strangely disappeared again. All the noises sound good, Reid has always been slow to integrate rookies anyway, and I do like the talent. Toney injured again. Fingers crossed this one goes the way it could do

I just follow Reid's history of drafting WRs he missed on nearly every pick on Philly and almost as many in KC. Moore is up against the odds here. just because he's taking reps doesn't mean he's going to amount to anything when the real football begins. I think you want to trade him on the 'hope' that he becomes good, on the idea that any chiefs WR is going to be good. They've gotten rid of WR this and that, Moore is the heir-apparent. nah, doubtful.

I got him 6.12 (#92nd) in a 16 team Standard league w/ Double Flex (WR/TE and WR/RB/TE) as my 4th WR. He's locked into an every-down role as the best all-around WR in arguably the best scoring offense in football. He'll line up all over the field and is a great route runner; if he gets 900/6 TDs that'll pay off value and then some considering you'll get him around 100 ADP.

I have him in a 14 as my last WR and pretty happy with it. Its little risk for a huge reward. Not as many mouths to feed in KC this year and its his job to run away with it. I personally think KC takes a step back this season so will probably have more times where they will be playing catch up with could benefit Moore if he can establish with Mahomes

How high should we rank him with Kelce out?

Struggling with him vs guys like Godwin, Diotae, etc.

Think he could be huge tonight. Think Mahommes could also spread it out

Skyy Moore was held without a catch on three targets in the Chiefs’ Week 1 loss to the Lions, adding a four-yard rush.

Moore’s only productive play was a first quarter jet sweep. Otherwise, he kept coming up just short on admittedly difficult plays. Moore was the receiver corps’ snap leader, but coach Andy Reid was clearly experimenting, giving reps to a whopping seven wideouts. It was just one bad night, but Moore certainly didn’t do anything to shed his rookie reputation for failing to make plays. He will be a low-floor WR4 for Week 2 against the Jaguars regardless of Travis Kelce’s health.

Lol. Not what anyone was hoping for but droppable after week 1? Haven’t seen the target numbers yet but he had a 15-20 yarder sail over his head while wide open. A 10 yarder knocked out of his hands by CJ, and a 20+ reception called back.

There was another 10-15 yarder that he had a chance on but don’t think he was the target as it whizzed by another reciever and then whizzed by him.

It was a ugly game by everyone and they really spread it out. 5 guys had 1 reception each. Rice scored the most points on a whopping 3-27-1 night followed by Blake Bells scintillating 2-16-1.

Moore certainly didn’t look great but he had some opportunities. Just didn’t work out tonight. Biggest issue is kind of what everyone thought; when healthy Kelce is the only receiver that’s an automatic start. Then it’s 9 other guys vying for scraps. Maybe 1-2 will grow into a larger role as the season goes on.

How dare you come steaming all in here with logic and calmness. You should be ashamed of yourself

Could be worse. He could be Toney

Uh, hate to break it, but he was (is?) Toney.
I mean Toney was worse there is no denying that. Like I won't be surprised if he is cut tomorrow. Skyy was bad as well don't get me wrong but he won't be cut tomorrow.

Neither will be cut tomorrow.
Only by fantasy teams
Normally players are locked after their team's game start until after the Monday Night Football game ends.

The reasons you laid out are precisely why Moore is droppable. Hold for what? In hopes that the week you’re forced to start him he happens to be the one that lucks into the scraps? Those kind of desperation guys can be picked up off the waiver wire anytime. Moore couldn’t even get any scraps without Kelce out there.

Proud to say I own zero shares. I don't own any KC receivers and it's because there are 7 of them that just shuffle around mostly doing the same stuff (none of which is being done incredibly well).

Moore was on my list of Auction flier picks, but glad I bowed our after the bid went beyond perceived value.

KC is going to draft a WR early next year or needs to trade for one. When Kelce retires, Mahomes is going to need a legit, big bodied WR. Andy Reid has never been particularly good at finding those guys in the draft.

I think it’s fair to say that this was disappointing, but I also think it is fair to say that these WR will see much different coverage once TK comes back. Not sure if the targets will improve, but the 1 on 1 type of stuff will improve.

It’s one game folks! Last year Gabe Davis was a hero after that first game.

waaay to early to bail. Kelce coming back will be huge. If anything we know he's climbed the ladder over Toney (brutal)

Kelce is the only receiver you can trust in this offense. The over throw to Moore could have easily been his fault. Looked like Mahomes was throwing him open in space to me
