WR Stefon Diggs, NE (2 Viewers)

If don't get why wind is so bad. Yeah, wind is wind but do you think the Vikings are going to run every down? Maybe running shorter passing routes, which favors Diggs really... The guy is a possession WR. So he likely won't catch a 50 yard bomb, big deal I'll take 5/50 over 1/50 any day.

FWIW my other options are DGB and Benjamin. Standing pat
Diggs is 11th in the NFL for yards per catch.

MIN lead the game from start to finish. Rudolf "lead" the team with 4 targets. Gameflow definitely had a hand in the performance but 2 targets is extremely disappointing. I'm curious as to what the snap counts are going to look like.

I want to say this won't be the case vs. GB but I honestly have no clue.

Oakland has a better offense and run defense than gb so why wouldn't that be the case?
It's a divisional game, GB hasn't lost to them in two years. Vegas set the line as even so projected game flow is up in the air. There's a lot of different variables week to week that can affect a player's performance?

Put the clamps on Diggs, you put a clamp on Bridgewater. He rarely looks elsewhere.
The Raiders have an awful pass D. On paper, Bridgewater and Diggs should have had solid games. Either Bridgewater is not very good or the Vikings were content with just gashing the Raider D with ADP. Maybe Diggs would have had some catches if the Vikings needed to throw the ball more. Maybe the Vikings do not want to throw the ball much due to Bridgewater's limited abilities.

The Vikings had 62 offensive snaps

T Bridgewater 62 100% 2 rushing attempts 23 yards
K Rudolph TE 53 85% 4 targets 1 reception 7 yards
A Peterson RB 45 73% 26 rushing attempts 203 yards 1 TD 3 targets 2 receptions 13 yards 216 combined yards
S Diggs WR 45 73% 2 targets 2 receptions 46 yards 1 rushing attempt 10 yards 56 combined yards
M Wallace WR 42 68% 2 targets 1 reception 22 yards
R Ellison TE 37 60% 2 targets 2 receptions 18 yards 1 TD
Z Line FB 18 29%
M Pruitt TE 17 27% 2 targets 2 receptions 7 yards
J Wright WR 17 27% 2 targets 1 reception 2 yards
C Johnson WR 15 24%
M Asiata RB 13 21% 2 rushing attempts 7 yards 2 targets 2 receptions 18 yards
J McKinnon RB 4 6% 2 targets 1 reception 7 yards
C Patterson WR 2 3% 1 rushing attempt 6 yards
A Thielen WR 1 2% 1 rushing attempt 14 yards

The Vikings ran for a combined 263 yards including 3 runs by WR. The Vikings ran the ball 33 times compared with 22 pass attempts.

Patterson's kick return for a TD took a offensive drive away. The Vikings play good special teams in general which limits the offensive plays and yards somewhat. Yards off of penalties against the defense also shortens the earned yardage on drives.

With Teddy playing I am starting him over Fitz.
I did too.

Probably cost me the week. Maybe the season.
I had him in my lineup until noon, when I heard there would be 40-50 mph winds in Oakland. I wasn't expecting a lot of passing success from a QB of Bridgewater's stature. Diggs has been a Godsend this season, but yesterday wasn't a good situation for him.

Targets: TE - 8, RB - 7, WR - 6

Probably leaning towards LaFell to cover AB's bye week with JStew in the Flex for DWill.

Hard to start Diggs after the two week fade. Still love him for the playoffs, though.

The Vikings are going against the grain of the current NFL. They play D and run the ball. ADP is running extremely well. Bridgewater is smart but has a weak arm. Diggs is a good WR and will have great games due to his ability but most weeks he is not going to get enough targets to score big in FF.

It cost me a win this week. But It's ok. Firmly in the playoffs in my redraft. However it will be a weekly matchup play for me going forward between him and Fitz. My other 2 WR's are firmly must starts (Brown and Evans) so this is a flex play decision each week.

Looking at Seattle I felt Fitz would have a tougher time.....I did not give the weather report much weight....and that is where I went wrong. Oh well. It's only FF.

But Diggs is still the real McCoy IMO and rising star in the league.

Struggling with this. My other WRs are ARob (gg last night) and Green. I'd love to sit AJ as he's facing Patrick Peterson and has been underwhelming 7/9 weeks. But it's hard to have much confidence in Stefon due to the lack of volume.

Two steps forward, two steps back.....and I think this weekend it will be another two steps forward.

Supposedly Rodgers is swinging it hard all week in practice. If GB puts up points, forces Minnesota to pass more.

Green Bay's secondary has been bad.

Adrian Peterson against GB since 2012

21 rushing attempts 210 yards
34 rushing attempts 199 yards
13 rushing attempts 60 yards
32 rushing attempts 146 yards

The Packers defense is 22nd in the league in total rushing yards given up 24th is rushing yards per game given up at 116.2 yards/game.

If the Vikings running game is effective, and it should be, this likely limits the passing attempts and therefore targets for Diggs and the WRs.

I could see Diggs having some big plays anyways as the Packers will likely sell out to stop Peterson, but it won't likely happen due to high volume. The Packers strength on defense is in their secondary so no real reason to try to force the pass unless the Packers can build an early lead and force the Vikings to play from behind.

You think I should play Diggs over AJ Green and Alshon this week? My other two starters are going to be Crabtree and Fitz.

Ashlon didn't practice Friday. I could be wrong but seems like weeks he's been Q in the past he either doesn't play or underperforms. Talib back this week.

I'm seriously thinking about sitting AJ for Diggs. FBGs advising me to sit Stewart (flex) & roll with Diggs - Green - LaFell in full PPR. Already started ARob.

Struggling with my lineup this week. Usually make up my mind & don't waver but I've been vacillating every day.

Good luck to everyone who decides to start Diggs.

I am hoping for a game script that will be a lot of Adrian Peterson and possibly the other RBs chipping in as well. There may be a lot of heavy packages on offense again which takes Diggs off the field. So if the game does go like this, targets to Diggs will be limited.

If the Packers are able to put points on the board and force the Vikings to throw more then Diggs will have a better day. So if you are starting Diggs you are kind of hoping that happens.

I am pretty sure Kalil will play, but if he doesn't or if he has to leave the game then the Vikings will need to have a TE help more on the left side and RT Clemmings needs help on every play. So no Kalil likely means more TEs on the field and less Diggs.

The wind isn't that bad today only 15mph.
