PFF top 10 most under pressure QB. Sam Bradford not on list. So, yeah.

Not many qb's are afforded the excuses Bradford has had over his career....Sam "happy feet" Bradford. Not many QBs recover from it.
I don't know about that. There have been "franchise QBs" that have bounced around the league for long careers (Jeff George, Jay Cutler, others). Not many qb's are afforded the excuses Bradford has had over his career....
If that's calculated like they've done it in years past is times blitzed divided by dropbacks. Since teams don't have to blitz to get to him, it's no wonder that number isn't higher versus others.massraider said:https://twitter.com/PFF/status/804825248512245762

Those are good examples but what is this the 4th first round pick bradford has cost a team? That's a lot given he has shown nothing...Dizzy said:I don't know about that. There have been "franchise QBs" that have bounced around the league for long careers (Jeff George, Jay Cutler, others).
The excuses may change, but the results are similar.
why even bother. you have your Homer glasses on so thick they make coke bottle glasses look trendy.Good analysis, bro.
As many as there are incorrect assertions. Comparing number of times blitzed per dropback is meaningless because not all QBs face the same defensive schemes.why even bother. you have your Homer glasses on so thick they make coke bottle glasses look trendy.
how many excuses can you make for the guy
my reason is he's just not that good. I think his years getting sacked over and over have made him play "scared" and that style continues today. you can't be a good qb if you're rushing through your progressions and running around all over the place.I wish Bradford was better, but he's not underperforming for the reasons people are giving.
I assume it would be to do with the presence of Jalen Ramsey.Any thoughts on this weekend's coming match up? I looked at Trembly's early projections and he has Thielen projected for almost double what Diggs is projected for in a PPR and projecting for only 3 catches. I know JAX isnt a great matchup (but not poor either) for opposing WR but it isnt that they have a shut down corner that will limit Diggs. Seems like a really low projection for a guy that has 96 targets over 10 games this year.
Any issues that I am unaware of?
I don't have the stats on hand but I'm pretty sure Ramsey has been very stingy on #1 WRs this year. It's certainly something to think about with Diggs, but many (including me) won't have better options probably.Hard to say. Ramsey's talent is undeniable but I dont believe he has reached that type of status quite yet, nor do I know if he follows the other team's #1 WR. I'm not sure where to pull that type of stat though.
.Missing Tuesday was safety Harrison Smith, who left Thursday’s game on crutches, his left foot in a walking boot. He had been bothered in recent weeks by an ankle injury.
Also not practicing were defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee) and linebacker Edmond Robinson (undisclosed injury). Returning after sitting out against the Cowboys were center Joe Berger (concussion) and cornerbacks Marcus Sherels (rib) and Mackensie Alexander (groin).
Sherels, the Vikings’ punt returner, fractured a rib Nov. 20 against Arizona that has forced him to miss the past two games. Overall, injuries have kept Sherels out of four of the past six games, at great cost to the Vikings’ special teams.
That is the way I see it. I saw him ranked so low I thought he was still injured or something.massraider said:Ramsey hasn't been Deion 2.0, teams have just found easier sledding elsewhere.
Starting with confidence. Checkdown Sammy can easily feed our hero for 8 catches for 60 yards or whatever.
One thing concerns be about Mitchell. Brady. He can sling the ball to numerous targets and avoid Mitchell all together. Still seems early. Especially the playoffs.I am considering benching him in favor of Malcom Mitchell. Diggs likely won't go off for 20+ fantasy points, which means we are looking at trying to eek out 10+. Against a Jaguars passing defense that allows the second fewest passing yards a game all season (196).
I'd actually consider this a great game to start Rudolph.
That's the one thing that doesn't concern me. I'd rather trust Brady to give him the ball than Sam Bradford to get the ball to Diggs. The last two weeks either of those WRs played, Mitchell is averaging more targets. Yes, small sample size but Gronk just recently got hurt, thrusting Mitchell into the role he is in now so it's rather unfair to compare season stats (and now Amendola is hurt too). One thing concerns be about Mitchell. FBG view is that there are 48 WR better than him?26. MIN - Full practice for WR Stefon Diggs
Source: Vikings.com
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) fully participated in practice Thursday, Dec. 15.

While we expect a better showing from the Vikings passing offense, Diggs has been supplanted in that offense by Adam Thielen. Diggs gets solid amounts of catches but they don't add up to enough yards to be more than a WR5.
why I still read these is anyone's guess... just a jokam I missing something? should I be considering benching him vs the 26th ranked passing d
Exactly. I have Diggs as a high end WR2 this week. Potential for volume is huge... Indy can score a lot of points, they have a terrible passing defense, and MIN has no rushing attack.FBG view is that there are 48 WR better than him?
Ha
That's a tough one.thinking of benching for Gabriel with Julio out
Why?I'd be more worried about the targets Theilen gets.
I am not sure these stats tell the whole story. the Vikings offense has dramatically changed over the last 3-4 weeks. for whatever reason. Maybe the poor OL play. or maybe how defenses are scheming against diggs. Why?
Diggs and Thielen both had 5 targets in the most recent game but generally Diggs gets more targets.
Targets for both WR over the last 5 weeks:
Diggs
14
15
7
8
5
Thielen
4
5
11
9
5
Adam Thielen had more targets than Diggs 3 weeks ago against the Lions and also against Dallas, so two times out of the last 3 games.
Over the last 5 games Diggs has 53 targets (10.6 per game) Adam Thielen has 34 targets (6.8 per game)
I've mentioned earlier in this thread that Diggs has tended to under-achieve this year when he wasn't able to put in any full practices leading up to the game. However, in weeks where he has had full practices (2 this past week) he has blown up. I'm not necessarily banking on anything, but the analytics side of me sees a trend here.I am not sure these stats tell the whole story. the Vikings offense has dramatically changed over the last 3-4 weeks. for whatever reason. imo, what is most telling is before week 11 Diggs was averaging 8 targets a game, Thielen avg 5 targets.
since week 11 Diggs is avg 6.6, Thielen 7.5 targets
Granted one game Diggs was hurt but to go from 5 targets a game to 7.5, and to drop from 8 to 6.6 is quite significant and nothing to shrug off. they've almost completely swapped targets
me too. still concerned and considering a much higher ceiling in GabrielI've mentioned earlier in this thread that Diggs has tended to under-achieve this year when he wasn't able to put in any full practices leading up to the game. I'm concerned as well. Considering Inman against a suspect Raiders secondary in what should be a high scoring game.me too. still concerned and considering a much higher ceiling in Gabriel
Benching Diggs for Cameron Meredith. I think it is a coin flip. But I'd roll with Tyreek Hill over him in a heartbeat.Diggs active. Has the Packers number. Thinking about rolling with him over Tyreek, Mitchell, and Anderson.
I'm not worried about targets for Diggs vs. Thielen, because Diggs is better.
One RotoWorld blurb doesn't change that.
