He may be worth a speculative add. Stafford doesn't care, he'll sling the pill to whoever is on the field.
this is why I picked him up in one of my leagues. he will put up numbers while the big boys are injured. he might be the best #3 WR in the NFL and now hes getting a chance in a top 2 WR role once again. This Smurf had 35 targets and 22 catches the start of last season when Kupp was injured to start '23
6/119 on 8 targets
7/77 on 9 targets
4/50 + 22 rush yds Had 9 targets
5 catches 24 yds on 9 targets, his worst of the 4 games
I think it shows that Stafford has no hesitation to start throwing it to him and especially with all the injuries, I would expect him to be heavily involved
They are playing San Fran and that's gonna be a problem after they were beaten at Minnesota last week, my guess is San Fran comes out firing but they are down CMC/Deebo
5-9/165, he is not my ideal WR but the odds are good he's going to see an uptick in targets
And?Could be wrong but it’s just hard to see Stafford being able to throw the deep ball with how he played last week and the banged up oline. Feels like more short throw type of game imo.

Why can't Atwell at his diminutive size catch some shorter balls and use his wheels to try and get loose?
I'm missing the connection here and I do understand LT/RT-QB time to dropback, I track where your going, it's logical
I just think with WR 1a and 1b on the shelf, he has as good a chance as anyone of making a splash for a couple weeks
he was productive early last season when Kupp was out. why wont he be effective now? Mcvay will make it workAnd?Could be wrong but it’s just hard to see Stafford being able to throw the deep ball with how he played last week and the banged up oline. Feels like more short throw type of game imo.

Agree.
Atwell is the only one of these WRs with speed to burn. McVay is going to scheme him up.
I bet he surprises.
And he's the only WR on LAR that wasn't picked up in any waivers.
He'll make it work like he makes his RBs work from year to year. Very unpredictable.he was productive early last season when Kupp was out. why wont he be effective now? Mcvay will make it work

I like the 93 yards. was hoping for more catches. I had a team with a few injuries so I did the ol plug and play grabbing Tutu off the waiver wire.He led all Receivers with 4 catches for 93 yardsThis Smurf had 35 targets and 22 catches the start of last season when Kupp was injured to start '23

He's no Tavon AustinAgreed to a 1-year $10 million fully guaranteed contract.
I don't think he is really worth that much.
As someone who loathed where they picked him, I think he's played well whenever they expanded his role, usually due to injuries. He's become a solid WR, and I have no issue with this move, and hope they use him as their #2. He's better than his numbers have been in my opinion.Agreed to a 1-year $10 million fully guaranteed contract.

Beat me to it. A little higher cost than I expected, but he is familiar with the offense and fills a gap for the year with big play ability. Not sure the hope is he is the number two, but gives them flexibility and time to figure it out.As someone who loathed where they picked him, I think he's played well whenever they expanded his role, usually due to injuries. I think it definitely closes the door on Kupp staying, which seemed like a longshot anyway given McVay's comments.

Just to add some context, in the 9 games that either (or in some cases both) Puka or Kupp missed, Atwell averaged 66.9 YPG, which comes out to 1,137 over a 17-game season.Beat me to it.
