WR-WR strategy in 10 teamer... (1 Viewer)

I am considering the WR-WR strategy for the first time (I'm liking the thought of getting 2 of the top 4 elite WR's), picking 9th in 10 teamer, but will obviously change that line of thinking if the right RB fell to me at that spot. However, I'm having trouble determining what RB would be worth changing my strategy. Which of these guys would you take ahead of an elite WR if they fell to #9 in a redraft, 6pts all TD's, non-PPR?

LT

Slaton

Deangelo Williams

SJax

Chris Johnson

Jacobs

Thanks guys!

In non-ppr - only those two. Mainly because they score TDs and basically will get plenty of touches to go along with them. LT - I don't trust his health. SJax - the Rams are just going to be playing from behind waaaayyy too much. CJ loses TD opps to White . Jacobs is close though - I'd consider him (not a lock though).

Williams and Jackson FOR SURE, they both have 1800+ yard upside with high floors.

Probably Slaton and Chris Johnson.

LT and Jacobs is personal preference, I would prefer the WRs by a small margin.

I am in the exact same position 9 slot in a 10 teamer- whenever I have gone WR/Wr in my my mocks I'll either get an extremely stacked team or a team I feel terrible about. Classic boom/bust feelings there. But I've found when I grab my favorite of the elite WR's left and one of those RB's you mentioned it feels a little better in rounds 3-4.

I've been taking SJax and DeWill if available and one of RMoss/AJ/CJ on the way back.

I may be too biased against LT because I have been burned in the past by SAlexander and LJ falling off cliffs...I lean towards the younger RB's these days for less buyers remorse.

Love to hear how it works - keep us updated.

To me in a 10 team non PPR I wouldnt go WR-WR. I'd be looking WR-RB or RB-WR and with 6pts all tds I'd consider QB-RB such as Brees or Brady.

I picked at #9 today in a 10 team, non-ppr and took SJax (over LT) at 1.9 and then Moss at 2.2. At 1.9 I would have also take DeAngelo had he dropped, or LT if he was the only one of the 3 left.

I have the same draft spot in a 10 teamer and was set to go WR-WR until I started seeing drafts where the RB's I was targeting at pick 29 and 32 were gone. There is a strong possibility in my RB centric league that the only (1) of the P Thomas/Grant/Kevin Smith combo I wanted (2) of will be there (or even none of them - leaving me with Ronnie Brown). Thus, I am going to go with a RB with either 9 or 12 leaving me more flexibility come 29 and 32.

I was 10 out of 10. SJax was still there. I took him then RMoss. Came back with TO and K Smith
Nothing wrong with that...Who were the other WR's you were choosing from when you took TO?Who were the other RB's left when you took Smith?

Similar to mine.1.9 SJax2.2 Moss3.9 Jennings - can't believe he was there...missed Boldin by 14.2 Kevin Smith - could have had Brown or Grant

I was in the 8 slot and was going to take SJax, CJohnson or DWilliams (in that order) but they were all gone ...

We start 3WR, so I ended up going WR-WR-WR to start/

1.08 A Johnson

2.03 R Moss

3.08 M Colston

Not my plan going in, and my (start 2) RB corps is weaker but with upside (DMcFadden, KMoreno, JStewart, RMendenhall, FJones). I would have gone WR-WR-RB, but the drop-off in RB from end-third to end-fifth round was minimal based on who was left. Still not sure how I feel about this one ...
