Probably half a round early, but it gets old watching your targets fall a couple picks ahead of you.

five minutes, four plus visits, and no commment on this one? :lmao:
I'd guess I'd say that he was acquired at a terrific discount in WSL 1 and there are only a few that I would have preferred over him in this one. Some uncertainty here but definitely not much of a reach if any at this point.

geez...... you go out and have a bunch of beers, come home and your pick..what the heck

am I the only person who thinks Favre is going to retire?

I don't want any Packers WRs with Aaron Rodgers throwing them the ball.

I feel he's going to have 1 more go at it. I wouldn't be surprised if retires but I think he's good for 1 more. Besides, if one is going to retire why wait? Just do it.

Did you hibernate last year?
:lmao: What am I missing?
Favre's gone back and forth a good deal and seems to want to have the benefit of the doubt regardless of his decision, even if it negatively affects the way that the Packers are able to plan ahead going forward.Perfect example for this year would be Jeff Garcia. He might be a very good fit for the GB offense in the short term (1 maybe 2 years at the most) as a potential starter, but Favre's waffling could screw it up for them in terms of getting the most bang for their buck. Favre = The Anti-Tiki Barber with respect to retirement committing I suppose.

Based upon the 8:12PM EST for Duke's pick, when does Glumpy time out?Is it a 4-hours off overnight, meaning he's timed out at 8:12AM?

Overall, it seems to be running fairly smoothly. I mean, we have what, 6 months or so? :bye:
I hear you renesauz, but on the other hand one of these survivor drafts got out of hand and it really can bring the morale down of the others checking in regularly. Ideally, you're knocking out 1 round per day on message board drafts. Anything much longer than that, and it can snowball into a ridiculously long debacle.

:goodposting: During the week, 20-30 picks in a day is a good goal. Two rounds is a great day.We should be in about Round 15 or later come the Super Bowl.BTW - I'll be the first one to propose the "no timer" on SB Sunday.

Are we using a timer during the weekend? I thought I read that we weren't.
From here:Everyone will start with an 8 hour clock. The clock will be suspended every day from 1 AM EDT to 5 AM EDT (this means everyone should have 12 hours over night). If your timer expires, you clock time will be cut in half. The guys at the turn don’t get extra time for the second pick. Clock is on during the weekends.

I'm looking for the "official" rules.

If not, I figure being part of a draft includes checking in at least every 12 hours. Some "middle ground" where the drafter feels he can relax during the weekend and yet also doesn't leave the members of the league just sitting around. You'll have to check with whomever wrote the rules though. If someone is going to take the weekend off because the rules say he can, I guess that's OK but I'd like a "heads up" post so I don't keep checking in here wonderring if it's my turn.

What time does Glumpy time out? I have Old Milwaukee's pick.

Going to shovel the driveway now, be back in a bit. :(

pour gas, light it, pray nothing else catches on fire, when it goes out there's nothing left to shovel. :D My neighbor cracked me up the other day because instead of chipping the ice on his steps, he used a space heater+ an extension cord. Steps looked great and all he did was sit inside all day.I don't have steps but if I did it'd be :banned: "yes dear, I'm taking care of it" :banned:

:lmao: I was being a little bit sarcastic. This isn't my first surviver with you guys. BUT...just pointing out that there's no logical reason to get too anal about the time at this point :P

If several people are gone for a weekend, the group can agree to shut off the clock for the weekend. But it must be done AHEAD of time.Which means the clock is on right now.The timer rules are all about respect. I'm very much in the "everybody has a life besides this draft" camp, but having a large group of people checking every few hours waiting on one person just isn't fair to everyone.

Glumpy's a good guy, and I'm sure will be in soon. But if he's timed out, Old Milwaukee is up. Pick for him anytime FFWeasel
