Not sure what happened to gocats. I see pick 12.16, not 13.01. I'll PM a couple people my 13.02. See you tomorrow.

Jermaine Wiggins, TE Minnesota Vikings

I went back and forth on what to do with this pick... gotta start mapping out what happens the rest of the way & what everyone else still needs to do.

I figure in this scoring system the TE can be a difference maker, so I better have a good back-up in place. Although Wiggins hasn't been outstanding overall recently, he has potential, and does have a big game now & again. (If Tarvaris - or whomever - throws him the #### ball!!)

13.13 QB Matt Schaub ATL?

Mitigating possible Bye's and relative unpredictability of my QBs. Could be a waste though.

This draft has been highly unpredictable. One day we make 20 picks in a day, and the next day we make 3. There is no rhyme or reason for the pace with which the picks are made. At the rate we are going this draft could end up taking 4-5 weeks. :goodposting:

If you can not keep pace with your companions, perhaps its because you march to the beat of a different drummer.

I find your signature particulary funny in this situation.

My general thoughts are:

WSL1 & 2 are full of guys that have been doing these FBG Survivor Drafts for a while and have expectations of themselves. If they can't do it, they say no or get a codrafter from the alternates. They also know when to use a PM.

WSL3 is full of the new guys. Some of the veteran guys are excited for WSL3 because they like to see some other guys have as much fun as they have had. As long as a guy is having fun and making an effort, he'll be alright. We haven't even gotten to some of the good natured discussion of some of our choices yet.

All that matters is we finish.

We're in a three-legged race connected with 16 people on our team.

I think that it is a good thing that as many people as possible get into these drafts. But I also would like people to learn etiquette for drafting in this type of league. (PMing and alternates included) I was brought up that you always finish and do your best, as you were saying, but you do it in the right manner. I am not opposed to guys taking their time and ensuring they make the right selection. Myself personnally, I generally have a couple of guys in mind before it gets to my pick. Depending on how the draft goes, these might change. But if I needed to, I could PM someone my picks. I am not an expert, nor do I have as much experience in these leagues as many others. But I did pick up ways to keep the draft moving, and try to ensure that everyone else does their best to do the same. Now I am off my soapbox. Good luck to all the rest of the draft.

BTW the quote is from Henry David Thoreau. In case you were wondering.

I'll take

13.15 Greg Jones, RB, Jax

hoping that he will get most of the goal line opportunities

I'll pm Jabroni, but how long should I give him to make his picks? 4 hr? 2 hr?

14.05 Robbie Gould - K Chicago
Well, that's just great... the pick right before me?!?!? :lmao: Whatever. See you all in 7 hrs and 45 minutes.
I, too, thought he was joking
Don't worry - I was. Just got pulled into a discussion at work. Minnesota Defense

Not the most obvious choice here, but they generate turnovers, and I think their pass rush will improve through FA and/or the draft. Only two games > 30 pts last year. Leslie Frazier is the wildcard here, but I'm willing to take a gamble.

ETA - NFC North, so they play Det and Rex twice each...
