WSL2 Draft Thread (1 Viewer)

how in the world does Peyton Manning last this long?

I took him like #2 overall in the first WSL and made the finals. He's an extremely safe pick, which is crucial in a league drafting this far in advance.

Uh...maybe that's why I had to pop your arm back into the socket last year. Your skill...err...luck the rest of the way just covered this poor pick.

Wow...this is a very loose draft to say the least. I expect to see some powerhouse teams with the talent falling due to some huge reaches.

PM sent to Valence but I'm going to sleep on my next selection.

If I'm up by then, will pick first thing tomorrow morning (9am Central)

He really shouldn't still be here.....but I accept.

2.14 Peyton Manning
I was thinking hard about him with my last pick...I was surprised he was still around too...just as surprised as seeing Gates still on the board with the 2 ppr for TE's. Hoped in vain he'd come back to me, but somehow knew he wouldn't. You stole him there.

This is now known as a Pasquino Power NapExcellent choice.
Actually this explains why the staff members are in the jr circuit. If Dodds would keep up to date off season rankings instead of playing poker, the staff could actually make timely picks in these drafts.

huge reaches? There's none yet IMO. You know as well as I that several of one year's top ten in FF don't return for the next year's top ten.I'm guessing I've got one-I picked Caddy a good amount before Duckboy in WSL1. I like him. He was "too expensive" last year but I'm pretty confident going into 07. At season's end, almost the first second he could Gruden was talking about getting a QB in FA and putting an end to his QB probs. I think Ronnie Brown was a little early in each league. Ricky is a monkey wrench here. Sure he'd rather be meditating in a hemp skirt but he's a darn good player when he plays. Sammy Morris was  good. The new coach should feel real comfy giving Brown rest. I hate that going into a season, scares me off from a player. I'm confident whomever passes on Jones and BarberIII will have similar feelings. Those two are both very talented.

2.15 QB Carson Palmer

well, I'll take the next best QB I guess.
Here I was thinking you really had a hard on for Peyton and it turned out you just wanted to take a QB there. :D

Maybe "huge reaches" wasn't the right term, but good value has been passed by for lesser value. Manning and Gates shouldn't have lasted as long as they did.

Yeah I was strongly considerring Manning. He's a pain in the neck in redraft and maybe moreso in these leagues. You know solid QBs can be had later and that most of the RBs will be gone. For me it was just that I figured by the time my next pick is (47?) the RBs will be gone. It's too simple but quite a different "view" than Aaron and Jeff have with the draft coming back to them shortly. 30? picks later...too much for me to pass up.Carson went earlier than I expected and I wonder if he wouldn't have been there in the 3rd for Aaron. Aaron seems to do real well in survivor leagues, I don't, so.....I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here.
