Yahoo Fantasy Football ? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys, quick question..

One of my leagues (I am commish) has been using Yahoo for years. Ive never run into this problem.

Several player were dropped from rosters on September 7th. One of the players was Mark Sanchez. The waivers setting are set for 2 days. I double checked that. When he was dropped the date said (W sept 10) presumably, when his waivers were set to clear the first game last thursday started so he was re-locked? and I assumed these dropped players would open again when the rest of the players did last night/this morning.

He is still locked (along with all the other dropped players) and it still states (W sept 10)... Has anyone run into this? I double checked the settings. It should be set at 2 days. He was dropped over a week ago and he is still locked. I know that multiple requests were made by owners to aquire several of these players...

Furthermore, I also noticed a player that was dropped today has a waiver date of Sept 21. 7 days from now?

Again, Ive never had this situation and Im not sure how to handle it. Has anyone run into this issue?

Thanks for any help / advice anyone can offer.

Im getting some complaints and questions I cant answer, I just looked most players are free agents.. a few who were NEVER On rosters have waivers dates. For example it shows Fred Davis as he is on waiver lock... The date is tomorrow on him. This doesnt make sense as he has never been on a roster/dropped. WHy is he waiver locked?

I'm seeing issues on both my yahoo leagues. Cadillac is locked in waivers till sep 6. Yes, sep 6th, as in a week ago.

I think it has something to do with yahoo processing the waivers ad is probably just a bug.

Hopefully it works itself out.

Normal waivers have not processed yet. If you go to the drop and add section, you can see some (but not all, apparently) of the guys who were claimed in your league. They will have a clear + next to their name. You can even still edit things like your waiver priority and bid amounts. What a mess.

Not having this specific waiver problem but currently having other IDP scoring issues.

Yahoo is complete trash at this point and next year going to MFL or some other site.

The Yahoo site crashed 20 minutes before our draft scheduled September 1 and we had to do it manually via e-mail. What normally takes 90 minutes turned into a 5-hour marathon.

Yahoo. Never again.

I am seeing the same problems. I am waiting for waivers to clear to let the dust settle. I will complain to Yahoo about the 7 day waiver issue later today if they do not fix it. They take about 2 days to get back to you. I recall last year they had issues as well with waivers due to the huge volume across all the leagues they service.

I'm not sure if it's a localized thing, but waivers processed pretty normally for our league last night.

Right after midnight Pacific, looking through the Players tab showed me the players who were involved in some kind of waiver claim. Those players all still had the waiver date next to their names with the clear + mentioned above. Everyone else had already been dumped into Free Agency and could have been added outside of the waiver system. Again, this was 2 minutes after midnight Pacific time.

As in years past, I checked back about an hour later and my league board showed all the waiver claims that processed. Anyone who had still been in Waiver status at midnight but weren't actually claimed (i.e. they were 2nd+ priority for a guy but used the same dropped player so their claim couldn't process) went into Free Agency properly. The only guys we showed in Waivers after 1:15 AM or so (Pacific) were those who had been dropped to add players from waivers.

Not sure why it worked exactly like it has in the past for us but others had trouble.

Ours was odd. Waivers processed at 10:30 am cst, which is fine I don't care what time it actually happens. But a couple owners picked up players as free agents at 8am (as if waivers were over). I'm unsure how or why they were able to do so. Hopefully they were players that no one else was trying to add, I won't know till I talk to the commish tomorrow.

That is exactly what it is... We have used Yahoo for our league for years, basically out of familiarity. Once the waivers start to run, all of the unclaimed players become free agents. It is just a delay in the processing of the waivers, nothing to worry about. It just doesn't normally take so long for Yahoo to process waivers the rest of the year, as the first few weeks are loaded with moves. You can actually log on at around midnight PST, any given week, and add players that have no waiver claims on them.

Yeah if anyone had tried to pick up a player through free agency (post waivers) that someone put a waiver claim in on, they would get an error message from Yahoo saying that the player is already involved in a transaction.
