Yahoo Stat Correction cost me league champisonship... (1 Viewer)

Man... Just found out that I lost my league due to a stat correction that happened today. I only won by a very slight margin (0.5 points) and I even checked yesterday to make sure there weren't any point changes due to the very small margin of victory. Basically, Matt Jones was sacked attempting a pass in the Tennessee game and Yahoo recorded it as such until today. Other sites continue to record it as a sack for Tennessee, but Yahoo decided today for some reason to make it a negative rushing attempt and deducted 0.9 points!!

Of course, this resulted in me losing which is even worse since money has already exchanged hands for this league. Not sure what I should do as the league commish always just goes with whatever yahoo does (and has already said as much to me). I don't even know that I'm mad or pissed... just sort of numb at the moment.

I did send an email to Yahoo asking for an explanation, but I guess there isn't anything else to do other than suck it up and look forward to next year?!?! Ooooo, I now hate Yahoo with a passion....

#1- It was a reverse, but some perceived it as a pass because he still holds the ball like a quarterback at times.

#2- That's what happens when you rely on Matt Jones.

Not to be rude- but I'm sorry....was there a question in the original post?

Stats are stats, it's better to be accurate and have the correct result than be inaccurate and get a championship based on a mistake. This is an easy one in my opinion.....

Was at the game...there were no recievers running downfield for him to throw to, and he never once raised the ball to throw it. It was clearly a reverse.

All know yahoo leagues are not great..seems your learning!

Hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but what in the world does this mean?
Long story short, some guy was selling excuse shirts online that were really pathetic. A pretty funny thread got started about it, and it eventually resulted in this "ptts" (point to the shirt) smilie on this board which people will use against you when you start to make any excuses or whine about losing.

Yahoo Stat Correction cost me league championship
You lost because you didn't pickup a player that would score more. You lost because you didn't draft a better player months ago.You lost because you didn't make enough trades to improve your team. You lost because maybe you started the wrong guy.You lost because....Yahoo didn't cost you the championship

Yes, ptts has become a shortcut way to tell people to stop complaining.History suggests that using ptts may have actually been funny at one time.

Here is the exact shirt someone made into the 'point to the shirt' emoticon you see soooo often.

I know all the cool kids are doing it, but I fail to see what Yahoo did wrong here. If the criticism is warranted, fine - but if, as Diesel said, it was really a reverse and not a pass attempt, then it should be scored that way. In this case, Yahoo did the right thing.
