In a couple of my leagues, trading and/or waivers are now open and will be all offseason. We also have some rules discussion going on. What is going on in your dynasty league?

Also, how can more activity be encouraged during the offseason?

well in the leagues that I am in Waivers are closed during the playoffs (I recommend this because it gives more value to the 4th and 5th round rookie picks. Other than that alot of trading and discussions about trades. But to have a highly active offseason you have to have highly active owners.

by the end of January we have to cut down our rosters by 1/3

the week before the NFL draft, we draft 2 rounds of college players that are in the NFL draft... salaries are determined by where the player is picked in the NFL

after the NFLdraft, any FF rooks left are auctioned...

after the rookie auction, there is a Restricted agent / Franchise period, where you can attempt to 'take' a player off another teams roster, or you just jack up his price..

July into August, we have another auction for the players that were cut in January, or never picked up int he 2 rookie events..
