I rent a copy of Call of Duty Black Ops 3 because I feel like shooting up some bad guys before I have to go to work.

I pop the disc in and I'm prompted to download a 10.791 GB patch with an estimated 8 hour download time.

Are you serious, bro? I'm not a 13 year old kid with hours to waste downloading a file. Sheesh, video games are weak nowadays.

People in the 19th century. Why don't they get with the freakin program? It's called an automobile, folks. It's much faster than a horse!

That is annoying though. I rarely lay video games anymore and all the updates are real annoying.
I'm more annoyed that you purchase a game, and then have to purchase or be on Xbox live or whatever in order to download more to actually play a game.

I get that its nice to have updates and improvements for some things...just sucked explaining that to a kid when he came home with a game and then couldn't play until we then got him on live and downloaded things. (In addition to needing a bigger HDD to download stuff for Destiny).

Agreef.  Day 1 updates are ####### insanity, IMO.  I understand that there will be patches, tweaks and DLC but day 1?  So bad.

No way.

What sort of service do you have?
I got Comcast. They claim 50 mb per second but I don't think it's quite that fast.

Regardless, let's say it's 25 mb per second. That's 1,500 mb per minute.....and 15,000 mb (or 15 gigs) in 10 minutes.

That really makes renting games brutal.

The standard in the video game industry now, due to physical production lead times, is to make and sell the disks with bugs and only 80% finished, and spend the last few weeks before the actual release date fixing bugs and polishing the final product.

Disks rarely contain the working final  game.
Not the ones on the new systems. They play just fine

Except when they say 25mb they mean megabits, so multiply that 10 minutes by 8.

This is a legit complaint imo. I've resigned myself to not playing a new game until the day AFTER buying it. Gotta suck for renting.

When girls withhold sex for a few more dates because they really like you and want you to respect them. Then you finally just say look, I'm married anyway and they get all pissed off! Women don't make any sense.
