Your #3 overall QB the past 4 weeks is? (1 Viewer)

Andy Dalton. Thats right take away his putrid week 1 performance and he is behind Rg3 and Brees in my league.

Can he keep this up? His scheule gets a bit tougher but its not all that bad.

How is he putrid?? Yes he was mediocre last year, but it seems like he's progressed nicely. With the emergence of Hawkins and Green looking even better this year, I'm buying anywhere I can..as long as I have another QB.

your post is confusing me.

I have him and Schaub....basically 2 number 2 qb's with a hopeful upside. For now rolling with Schaub. I actually dropped him after week one and luckily got him back.

Dalton will be solid. 2nd year QBs typically improve by about 600 yards and 6-8 TDs from their first year. Realizing those improvements would put him at 4000 yards and 27 TDs on the season. His completion percentage is up about 9% from last year and he's connecting on more long passes.

He's on pace for 4400 yards and 32 TDs. That will probably slow down.

Two things that bother me are the ints and sacks.

He's faced one good Def (his bad game) and 3 bad defenses. He has a couple favorable matchups coming up and then its a mix. Unfortunately in the playoffs (weeks 15 and 16) he plays the Eagles and the Steelers.

I think Dalton is solid. He's got some good weapons in the passing game, an underwhelming running attack and a questionable defense. All those things add up to what could be a very solid year for him. I wouldn't be shocked to see him finish as a top 10 QB.

Why couldn't you just say he's the 5th best and has been solid in his last three? This would make it less confusing and allow me to point out that he's played CLE, WAS and JAC in his last three. WAS has been giving up the most fantasy points to QBs with CLE being a close second. To be honest, anyone could put up points on them. He'll be a fine match-up play and bye-week fill in down the road but don't expect him to stay in the top 5 by years end.

Dalton and Green are the real deals. Dalton likely wont stay top 3 QB this year, but i dont see his defense being able to stop much of anyone, so he is going to be throwing early and often. He has other weapons other than Green and he isnt scared to use them. Hawkins, Binns, Tate, Marvin Jones, Gresham, and BJGE out of the backfield are all viable options for him.

is 3 big games came against the 26, 30th and 19th pass defenses. he has the dolphins (29th) and clevland (27h but haiden will be back) next so he could have 2 more good games but after that, its a nightmare. he plays dallas (1st), philly (7th) and pit (5th) in weeks 14-16. there are a lot of other guys i'd rather have over dalton. i'd even consider gabbert, who plays the jets (4th minus revis), mia (29th) and NE (24th) in the playoff weeks.

If Gabbert is on your radar as a possible playoff starter, you are not making the playoffs anyway.

The Redskins and Browns rank #1 and #2 in most fantasy points allowed to QB so far this season. That might have something to do with it.

Just to play devils advocate, maybe the Redskins and Browns rank #1 and #2 in most fantasy points allowed to QBs this year because they faced Andy Dalton.

What are you talking about, I am pretty sure I am making the playoffs and I am going to bench Brady so I can start Gabbert with that schedule.

The Browns allowed:Vick 317/2Dalton 318/3Fitzgerald 208/3Flacco 356/1 (plus a rushing TD)The Skins alloed:Brees 339/2Bradford 318/3Dalton 328/3 (+ 73/1 to Sanu)Freeman 299/1Dalton has done well . . . but so has everyone else.

Good sell high candidate(if you can) after his next 2 games. It wasn't that hard to see this fast start coming for Green and Dalton when looking at their schedule from weeks 2 through 6.
