Your Bandwagon That Jumped the Shark Pool (1 Viewer)

As a contrast to the hype surrounding Finley, Best, Foster and Huggins, which one player did you go into the pre-season comfortably strapped into your seat aboard the bandwagon, defending him at every turn, only to jump out of your seat screaming "don't shut that door" and bail before drafting him?

Mine was Cutler. I read all about the Martz magic. Saw some nice flashes and turned a blind eye towards the O-Line woes. But when it came time to draft him last night from the 12th spot at the 5-6 turn, (#60 overall) I couldn't do it. I grabbed M. Barber and Celek, and later picked up Flacco and Ben.

In the early summer, I started to warm up to Finley and took him in the fifth round in some money redrafts -- even before V.Davis and Witten.

But now that you have to grab him before Gates and Clark if you really want him, well, he is not likely to be on any more of my teams.

If he sets NFL records this year, great. At least I have him on a few teams that I drafted early.

I really liked Ryan Mathews every time I got to watch him play and some of his games on Thursday and Friday nights were epic and provided good tailgating discussions on Saturday mornings at "The Zou".

I was stoked to see Ryan Mathews at the combine as a sleeper top 5 guy that wasn't on that many radars as an "elite" talent and was being discounted for the likes of Dwyer, Spiller, Best and Dez. I tuned in to watch him and had mixed emotions as I literally could hear his draft stock going through the roof...I went from hoping to steal a potential RB1 in the 1.04-1.07 range to giving up any hope of drafting him in dynasty leagues.

TJ Housh. Although it never really was a bandwagon, more like a marble rolling along the sidewalk. But I still bent over and picked up the marble even though I have no reason to keep a marble, and I'll probably just throw it in the trash a few days later.

Spiller he's had the show to himself while Jackson and Lynch have been hurt, but their baccccccccccck, I read Jackson maybe ready for the opener, plus Buffalo's o-line is bad, really bad, and against teams that WILL be playing all their defense starters (not keeping guys on the bench with hang nails as most teams do during pre-season) it's going to get bad in a hurry. Kid has got talent, just in a bad situation.

donald brown in the beginning of August I would have been willing to take him in the 5th or 6th round now I won't touch him

I cannot believe that this thread isn't devoted to the Justin Forsett train.

A couple of months ago, you'd of believed he was going to be hyped right into Jahvid Best territory.

Forsett backers, where ya at? you still on the train?

Shonn Greene

unlike he was touted early on, he isnt a 1st round pick or a RB1 in my opinion.

(Tomlinson takes a bigger piece of the pie & im down on the Jets as a whole)

Shonn Greene is a peculiar fall. I think he is undervalued right now. Too much overcorrection. Too much faith in old washed up and worn down LT.

The one I feel is way overvalued is Knowshon Moreno. He is struggling with what appears to be a torn hamstring. He hurt it on Aug 1st, and he still walking gingerly. He's going 30+ spots higher than he should imo.

Beanie Wells - the season hasn't started yet and I'm already disappointed.
I'm still on this bandwagon, but I've got one leg dangling off the side in case I decide to jump off soon.
