We have always played a week 16 title game and then the league is over...but the NFL is playing games and league members still wanted action. 6-7 years ago we started chipping in 50.00 a team for week 17. We doubled the normal starting lineups for more action..and you can submit a lineup using any players you want. So if you had a crappy year you can still have some fun in week 17. It is a nice side pot with $400.00 going to the winner. $200.00 for second and $100.00 for third.

Using the same scoring system we used all year..We start

2-QBs

4-RBs

6-WRs

2-TEs

2-Ks

We don`t use defense for the final week.

Most team will have a few of the same studs but it amazing at how different the lineups are and there is action all over the place. This one week event has turned week 17 into my favorite week of the season.

We do something similar...we allow everyone to activate every player on their roster for week 17 and we pay a solid bonus to the team which scores the most. We carry 21-player-rosters so even Keith Toston is a play this week!

It has an effect on the waiver wire throughout the latter part of the season and keeps even the worst teams working their rosters to have a shot in week 17. That prevents the top teams from getting all the best waiver claims, as is the case when the bottom teams have given up for the year. And it gives you somebody to root for in virtually every game played this week.

Someone once told me about a game where you try for the lowest score of the week using starters who are expected to play the entire game-- no inactive or part-time players or expected-to-rest guys. You're rooting for your players to do as little as possible.

Just something different for week 17. I thought it was intriguing, but your system works, too. And you put more money into it than I was thinking.

Yep...we do this in one league I run and call it our "Pro Bowl". Everyone loves it

ETA: Can this be set up on MFL for free?

Hmmm, maybe add an extra division to your League on MFL and only put in teams for week 17?
