Your one most overrated player and one most underrated player (1 Viewer)

Overrated - Greg Jennings. Reason=Jermichael Finley.

Underrated - DeAngelo Williams. Has been #1 before, healthy it seems, just got paid a bunch of money to be a lead back, offense is improved, and is going in the 4th/5th round.

underrated - qb Bradford (is in a fantasy owner's dream of an offense)rb Felix (is the full time back for a potent offense and very limited competition. tons of talent and potential, an all around back)wr Holmes (lost edwards, sanchez another year matured and getting paid like a star.....oh yeah and extremely talent)overrated -qb Cassel - (just not real talented and on a team that wants to run)rb Charles - (advantage is his team does like to run but T Jones will still get the tough yards. i still see Charles as just a big play back)wr Reggie Wayne - (alot of guys to get the rock on that team. a healthy collie and dallas clark will limit wayne's potential)
For those making posts, please give a reason why you feel the way you do about underrated and overrated players. Even if it's a short reason or "just what I feel" it gives us some insight to your thoughts. Posts like the one I quoted I predict are more often just glazed over. At least I do.

overrated - Arian Foster. People are chasing a career yer he'll never duplicate 2010 numbers again. If hits 75% of 2010 numbers, be happy.

underrated - Steven Jackson. Still a monster, people worry about injuries.

Not sure why you call Foster overrated if you (as implied) expect him to hit around 75% of 2010's numbers. I think that's what most people are projecting, and that will still crush it. We'd be talking 1700 yards and 13 TDs.

Per position:

Overrated

QB- Vick, PPG beast, problem is he misses games.

RB- McFadden, that team is going backwards. He's too inconsistent already.

WR- DeSean Jackson, too few catches.

TE- Gates, too injured to be top 3 consideration

Underrated

QB- Big Ben/ Sam Bradford, Ben is a top 6 QB going around 11-12 and Bradford has a year under his belt with a more explosive OC.

RB- SJax, getting a bigger slice of the pie on a team on the rise.

WR- VJax, set for a monster year if Mathews/Gates are dinged.

TE- Kellen Winslow, team on the rise and his QB loves him.

Overrated - Wayne and Desean. I think we see Wayne continue to be doubled, presenting excellent opportunity for Collie and Garcon. Desean is feast or famine. Maclin is the pick a round or two later.

Underrated - Stafford. If he (and Calvin) can stay healthy, I think Stafford will finish top 5. Calvin, Burleson, Pettigrew (also underrated) and a healthy Best on a team that will need to score a lot of points to compete. That's a good combination.

I agree with every single one of these.

You do realize that Steven Jackson has only eclipsed 75% of Arian Foster's 2010 year once?

Im inclined to believe that SJax will have a better year than Foster. Similar situations but STL leans on SJax.

Fantasy Football players have been chasing that dream since 2006. Seen him drafted early to late 1st round and produce like a late 2nd early 3rd draft choice.

Just saying, a lot of people have Foster failing to repeat, im in that crowd. I have SJax having an above avg year which above avg for Sjax is top 5 territory, wont hear many people singing that tune.

Overrated = Mark Ingram, I do not think he is as talented as everyone else does and I think Pierre will still get the most touches at RB.

Underrated = Arrelious Benn, I think he is a beast, he has worked very hard to get back to full health and by the opener he will be starting opposite Williams. I also think he will be a beast with RAC numbers, he runs pissed off after he catches the ball, not saying he will out produce Williams this year, but the numbers will be close.

Quoting myself from other threads.

Over

WR Dez Bryant - Romo has chemistry with Austin & Witten, I don't think there are going to be enough balls to go around to make the 3rd option as beastly as some expect.

Under

Mario Manningham - With Smith being gimpy & not sure where he is playing, I don't think Mario is getting the hype he deserves.

Most OVER-RATED - Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush is an injury waiting to happen. He has only played in all 16 games in a season his first year.

He has never shown a performance even close to the "hype"!

His yards/rush is pedestrian; His yards/reception is even worse.

Every top RB except CJ2 dwarf his yards/reception ...

There's no way he succeeds as the "workhorse" ...

Most UNDER-RATED - Steven Jackson

Steven Jackson is a BEAST. He has seen 8 in the box Defenses for the last 4 years. With Bradford gaining experience and confidence I see their Offense creating a much more balanced attack, and Jackson will re-enter the Top 10 elite runners; better ypr, ypc, more TD opportunities.

Who's claiming he's going to be a workhorse? His ADP is 109, the 42nd RB off the board.

Great thread. I definitely do NOT agree with a lot of what has been posted, but first I'll put my own neck on the line. I am going to pick one for each of the positions.

UNDERRATED

QB: Big Ben. He is going #10 and the guy is capable of putting up top 3 numbers. I am guessing he is being over looked because his numbers last year were down from missing the first few games to suspension.

RB: Deangelo Williams at RB19??? He will be a top 8 back. I expect numbers similar to 2009. Addai is another good one.

WR:Holmes is WR20. NYJ lose Edwards. Holmes is clear number 1. He is a great receiver and his young QB, Sanchez, will be a year older. I like him to crack the top 10.

TE: Greg Olsen at TE18? He is going to be the number two receiving target in CAR.

Over Rated:

QB: Vick at QB2. What's the over/under on the week he gets hurt running?

RB: Michael Turner at RB10. He is 29 years old and to me he looked like he was slowing down last year.

WR: Nicks at WR4. I am not a believer in Nicks as an elite WR. He regresses to the norm.

TE: Jimmy Graham is going at TE7??? Too many hungry mouths to feed, very capable mouths, for a TE to be a top 10 TE in NO.

The more research I do the more I agree with this guy being way underrated. Nicks gets all the attention and people still remember Steve Smith's great season from 2 years ago but Manningham came on nicely last year and has a world of talent. I have a feeling by draft time his ADP will go way up though.

IF and be happy are the key words.

I dont expect him to hit 75%. I said be happy if he does get there.

And? I'm not comparing the two. I think one is underrated and the other is overrated.

Sure are a lot of Foster owners in here getting very defensive. Carry on......
