Zero turn mower (1 Viewer)

Sounds like an incredibly stupid way to throw way too much money at a basic home ownership issue.
You mean riding mowers in general or a zero turn for 1/3 acre?

assuming you mean the latter, yep.

Bumping up for spring shopping. I have thought about getting a zero turn mower, but I don't want to lose the space in my garage. (neighborhood rules, can't have a 3rd stall garage until 7 years after house built and a shed can't be bigger than 10x10 and has to match the house). It is also hard to justify having a rider for the size of my lawn (8200 sq ft) but getting older, I would like to cut the mowing time time down. I am considering one of these: Toro 30" time master It is 8" wider that your typical push mower which would cut the mowing time way down and is a lot cheaper than a zero turn.

Anyone have any experience with these? I currently have a Toro personal pace that has been a great mower. The only thing I have had to do to my current mower other than yearly maintenance is replace a wheel once.

I looked into a 30" Time master a few years ago. Many customer reviews said it was underpowered and would bog down during the spring growth or when trying to mulch. There was a lot of dissatisfaction with the power, but that was the only complaint IIRC. It was persistent enough that I passed on it. Not sure if they have improved the power on it since I was looking. Just keep an out for that.
