3rd one was strange, but with a 10 point must would have to go Stipe. Gave first 2 to Stipe with that 2nd being a possible 10-8 (Judges will never do it, but it should be)29-18 Stipe
i really hope Stipe isn't giving this fight away. letting DC hang in the fight and not doing much the last 2 rounds3rd one was strange, but with a 10 point must would have to go Stipe. Gave first 2 to Stipe with that 2nd being a possible 10-8 (Judges will never do it, but it should be)
yeah Stipe played with fire this one. not sure why, i'm guessing his corner was telling him he had this. But he definitely could have done more in those 3rd and 4th rounds to easily cement this fight. With UFC judging, Stipe might need the 5th. We've seen some really crazy scoring over the years
the PR machine on this has driven me crazy. If you look at his actual resume of fights, it really shouldn't be considered on the same tier as a GSP, Silva, etc. His 205 run was a nice fight with Gus, but outside of that nothing really great. Now please go away for good, DC. One of the all time greats but its time.
Nah, Bones is only fighting for the belt.i like that tweet from Jon Jones. C'mon DC don't hang 'em up yet. One more in you, welcome Jones to HWY
Agree. The eye poke wasn't the deciding factor. Stipe dominated after round 1 and even with two good eyes DC wasn't gonna change that.Very good fight. Stipe clearly the victor. Terrible eye poke but he was losing before the poke and I don't see it making the difference. Two of the best that are all class.
DC never should have left the HWY division to let Cane do whatever he was going to do. SHould have stayed at HWY if he wanted and then we could have seen what his career would have held. I would say DC had a good fight with Gus, and looked good in his one fight with Jones, but outside of that i don't think he has done much of anything since 2013. UFC really kind of padded his record and gave him the match-ups to help him out.Very good fight. Stipe clearly the victor. Terrible eye poke but he was losing before the poke and I don't see it making the difference. Two of the best that are all class.

Stipe has THE iron chin.Agree. The eye poke wasn't the deciding factor. Stipe dominated after round 1 and even with two good eyes DC wasn't gonna change that.
Missed this post.Guilty pleasure addition to the MMA thread.
The Fight Circus card is funny and entertaining. Crude production to be sure. Cheesy announcing and commentary. Little people escorts to the ring. Silly stupid stuff.

It is 3 straight ULTRA boring fights too. He doesn't seem to want to engage at all.Has there been a fighter that's been as boring after being a champion as Woodley?
I know some will disagree based off his name, but UFC would be out nothing cutting the guy. It's been many fights of nothing now. Just looks like his desire to fight is gone. And not a kid anymore at 38. Go be an analyst or something. Rapper, whatever.
UFC has to do better promoting him. Dude is a legit monsterChimaev again.
pre-TUF day, hell yeah. when wrestlers were dominating UFCs in UFC 30's-UFC 60''s (or whatever time frame), there were tons of lay and pray without any stand up.Has there been a fighter that's been as boring after being a champion as Woodley?
