Streaming or currently airing TV shows (AKA Netflix thread) (14 Viewers)

Netflix acquires streaming rights of Disney products starting in 2016. This includes all things Disney, Marvel, & LucasArts. Netflix instant will be able to have the movies available about 7 months after playing in the theater. This is interesting. Should be a nice bump in available movies on Netflix.

I just finished the 2nd season of Sherlock. Absolutely incredible show.

The guy who plays Moriarty is a genius. He's perfect. It reminded me a lot of Heath Ledger's Joker.

Grave EncountersDirected By: The Vicious Brothers Lance Preston and the crew of "Grave Encounters", a ghost-hunting reality television show, are shooting an episode inside the abandoned Collingwood Psychiatric Hospital, where unexplained phenomena has been reported for years. All in the name of good television, they voluntarily lock themselves inside the building for the night and begin a paranormal investigation, capturing everything on camera. They quickly realize that the building is more than just haunted - it is alive - and it has no intention of ever letting them leave. They find themselves lost in a labyrinth maze of endless hallways and corridors, terrorized by the ghosts of the former patients. -- © Official Site
:yucky: These ###-clowns are among the most deservedly punchable people on tv today. And that is saying something. Physically wretching to watch.

Hopped on Netflix to run through Spartacus: Blood & Sand again and show it to a couple friends. Phenomenal series.

Gone. Netflix arbitrarily pulled it from their listings. ;_;

A couple movies that are on that we just recently watched:

1) Killer Elite -- Not the greatest RT rating, but my wife and I enjoyed it

2) Hachi -- Your typical good dog movie that will make it very dusty

3) Kite Runner -- This movie is simply excellent. Highly recommend.

Jiro - Dreams of Sushi.

Quiet film, but very moving documentary of an 85 year old man trying to perfect his preparation of Sushi

Hell

German movie with subtitles. If you like post-apocalyptic movies, this one isn't too bad. The acting and the way it is shot is pretty good, better than alot of the Hollywood B rated crap. Not a bad movie at all. Kept my interest.

2.8/5

That was the other one I watched on Saturday. I did enjoy the movie, the ending was kinda abrupt. Almost like they were setting up for a sequel

Also in the midst of watching the series Kidnapped.

Not bad at all....another one of those shows that only made it one season but entertaining nonetheless.

Just about every asian I know with Netflix has seen this.Especially poignant was the part about Jiro's son being the one that served the Michelin inspector that netted the restaurant 3 stars. I wish they didn't gloss over this point.

 Yoshikazu may be the better sushi chef at this point, but when Jiro dies or has to retire, the restaurant will really suffer. Which is sad

I found the doc. to be pretty sad. The guy was just consumed with work. Kids barely saw him growing up and the guy can't slow down even now. His eldes son is nearly 50 and Jiro can't step aside and let him have his day. Poor wife.

True Grit was pretty good.
I liked it. It's one of those if it comes on I wont turn it off movies.
Bridges has that effect, but I didnt think True Grit was quite on that level. Actually, not really close to that level for me. I liked it, it was pretty good.
I can't think of one other movie I liked him in besides Lebowski.
Probably the first negative comment I've ever heard about Bridges. Guy is an all-timer.

My Way is a must watch. Hard to give the movie a good description without giving away too many spoilers, but basically a based on a true story movie that tells the life story of a Korean and his friends who were forced into war. Its set during the Japanese and Soviet war going through a portion of WWII. One of those movies that will make you appreciate how good of a life you have.

Started watching this last night, saw only the first 5 or 10 minutes, then turned it off. Maybe I'll watch the rest of it soon. I turned it off and switched to this.Horrible. Stay away. Don't know why I kept it on.
