Looks like a broken nose for one guy and a broken jaw for the other. That said, I just don’t understand how you miss weight in a title fight.

Been going around lately. Nery missed by a ton a couple months ago.

I was wrong, they went the distance. Despite Tim Bradley’s seeming love for Imam, he was outclassed in this one.
I didn't think Imam was getting out of that on his feet either .

Conlan knocking out another tomato can with a bloated record.
Mike Tysons first 15 fights...who on that list isnt a tomato can? Most fighters fight hand picked opponents so they can learn and gain confidence

Yeah today is literally the 1 year anniversary of Conlan's pro debut. Loma is the only guy I can think of that went from the amateurs into pro fights with quality opponents right away.

Everyone starts with tomato cans, I get that. Not everyone gets to start on ESPN. If you are good enough to get prime coverage, you should be fighting better fighters IMO.

I think that has more to do with cultural and economic reasons than his skill. He if was from Latvia or Panama or something, he wouldn't be on TV or drawing any attention. It's just St. Patricks Day in NY and he is Irish.

One judge had it 115-113! Gotta love boxing. The right guy won a unanimous decision, but cmon.
One guy had 120-108, that is even more bonkers imo.

I simultaneously don't mind Conlan headlining the card over the legit title fight that preceded it, but I also don't rate him very highly at the moment, nor do I think he's necessarily a can't-miss prospect. If it brings more eyeballs to a boxing card, I'm all for it. Ryan Martin's kind of in a similar boat, although I think he's a better pro prospect than Conlan.

Coincidentally, former Top Rank flavor of the month Felix Verdejo took a real bad loss on the undercard.

It's a #### load of money.  If he fights that other guy it's a huge downgrade in pay
They need each other, in a sense. Nobody really gave a #### about Liam Smith or Khan, rightly so. JCC Jr. was basically a 3-card Monte trick that was only put over by the GGG announcement right after, to make every forget about what a ####ty fight that was. Canelo's credibility would've been further eroded if he hadn't fought Golovkin last year, they just couldn't have gone much further.

Weirdly, Spike O'Sullivan is claiming he's next for Canelo in the Fall. Fan-friendly fighter, but it  is a major step-down in competition, again, for Alvarez. Lot of tough fights in that division with Jacobs, Saunders and Charlo, he will have to tread carefully after this fight with GGG.

I'm a big ggg fan.  Hoping he kicks canelos ###

Anybody else going to watch Joshua Parker?

Something tells me Parker wins early. Could be the edible though.

80-1 on each of the first 3 rounds. I think Parker just tries to pressure him early and hope for the best.

AJ looks like a more polished power puncher while JP looks like a busier more violent puncher.....but the good bigger man will win this fight by the 8th rd

I had it 115-113 Joshua.

Hoping they sign Joshua-Wilder now, to take some of the sting off of Canelo's imminent suspension
