I don't understand Art - Now the ***Official Art Thread*** (1 Viewer)

I'm a big fan of the BBC documentaries by historian/critic Waldemar Januszczak.  He does a great job of making the art and artists come alive while his awkward enthusiasm keeps him from being pedantic. 

There are a bunch of them on Amazon Prime.  The Impressionists series is excellent but I really enjoyed the one about Rococo because I was all new to me.

My father in law is a semi-professional artist who regularly sells art in the 500-1000 dollar range in galleries.

If anyone is interested in south western style paintings of landscapes or paintings of the old catholic missions and wants to blow some cash let me know.
