Apparently she stole it from her older brotherI know that I was a naive kid, but I just can't even fathom where a typical 13 year old gets exposed to and access to heroin. Just horrible.
jesus. how much older?Apparently she stole it from her older brother
He's like 15. Was talking with the daughter of another friend who knows all these kids and went to their private school. The brother was kicked out for using drugs; the 13 year old girl was kicked out for selling them.jesus. how much older?
and sorry to go into details, but did she smoke it, shoot it? my daughter's 12 and i can't even remotely wrap my head around this.
Can we just arrest the parents for being completely oblivious. Christ. He's like 15. Was talking with the daughter of another friend who knows all these kids and went to their private school. The brother was kicked out for using drugs; the 13 year old girl was kicked out for selling them.
No details on method of ingestion.
The mom is a piece of work. She lives in a house that's probably $700,000. No husband. Her married boss pays for her house, pays all of her bills and keeps her as a side piece. Can we just arrest the parents for being completely oblivious. Christ.
so, rich white kids? this is my f'ing nightmare. down here, opiod pills are so prevalent, it's crazy. He's like 15. yep, bored rich white kids. there is a tremendous amount of heroin, cocaine and pills in the high schools here. we have two high schools in our district: one is nothing but rich white kids; the other is a little more diverse. My daughter goes to the slightly more diverse/less entitled school.so, rich white kids? this is my f'ing nightmare. down here, opiod pills are so prevalent, it's crazy.
Sounds like she has time to take care of her kids. Or buy them drugs. The mom is a piece of work. She lives in a house that's probably $700,000. No husband. Her married boss pays for her house, pays all of her bills and keeps her as a side piece.
I know everyone else is focused on the other kid and the drugs and for good reason but i'm sorry your relationship ended that way. That would be hard to bounce back from. It sucks that being a good dad impacted your life like that but i am proud of you for having your priorities right. One of the kids that my daughter knows—not really a friend, but she knows her well enough that I’ve taken her tubing on my boat—13 year old girl, OD’d on heroin today. She’s in ICU. Prognosis not good. This is after a 15 year old at her school died last week from taking fake Xanax that was really mostly Chinese fentanyl.
I was a little over the top with my anti-drug rant to my daughter, and my girlfriend tried to intervene. I don’t think we’re going out anymore. Telling me how to parent when there are kids dying and overdosing anywhere near roverkid is not a good idea.
I have a feeling I'll be fine. Thanks.I know everyone else is focused on the other kid and the drugs and for good reason but i'm sorry your relationship ended that way. No offense token.I'm so sorry. I did not intend to offend EL flop, but you have to admit, that's a helluva good looking cat.

It's only on sale for Mexicans? Geezuz, they can't build that wall fast enough. All the local markets have pork on sale for the mexicans.
No, its on sale because of the Mexicans. Its the kick-off of tamale making season. It's only on sale for Mexicans? Geezuz, they can't build that wall fast enough.
Tamale season, huh? Do you need, like, a license for that? No, its on sale because of the Mexicans. Its the kick-off of tamale making season.
Not a tamale fan. Posole and Boudain are more to my taste. But they use the same pork cuts, so thanks, Mexicans.Tamale season, huh? Do you need, like, a license for that?
Cuz for a skinny dude, I can eat the HELL out of some tamales.
Blanc? Noir? Anthony? Not a tamale fan. Posole and Boudain are more to my taste. But they use the same pork cuts, so thanks, Mexicans.
That's a lot of food for tomorrow. So we're coming up on the Holidays, I guess. All the local markets have pork on sale for the mexicans.
I bought four pork sirloin roasts and a picnic.
Cooked 'em up right with a few lbs of chicken liver, celery and onion.
Boned the pork (woohoo) and now separated to make a big pot of posole and 10-15 ft. of boudain.
Various bowls / pots have some combination of bell, anaheim, serrano and jalepenos peppers.'
Ten big cloves of garlic, paprika, lots and lots of fresh black pepper. yellow onion, fresh oregano, thyme and lots of parsley.
Nine cups of rice, pork and liver broth as needed to moisten.
Wife has the casings rinsed and threaded on the funnel, so we're ready to start stuffing, then a ten minute poach.
Then I'll finish up the posole with a half dozen roasted anaheims five lbs of hominy, five lbs of pork and a bunch of cilantro and pico de gallo for tomorrow.

Cajun. Its usually quite bit different than Blanc or Noir, but mine turned out very similar to Blanc.heckmanm said:Blanc? Noir? Anthony?![]()
I do not think I would use blood unless it was from a local source that I trusted or raised myself/Boudin blanc: A white sausage made of pork without the blood. Pork liver and heart meat are typically included. In Cajun versions, the sausage is made from a pork rice dressing (much like dirty rice), which is stuffed into pork casings. Rice is always used in Cajun cuisine, whereas the French/Belgianversion typically uses milk, and is therefore generally more delicate than the Cajun variety. In French/Belgian cuisine, the sausage is sauteed or grilled. The Louisiana version is normally simmered or braised, although coating with oil and slow grilling for tailgating is becoming a popular option in Lafayette, New Orleans, Houston, Beaumont, and Baton Rouge.
can't build a wall fast enough, imoCrossed over into the badlands (wisconsin) today and decided to check out the liquor store. So many beers we don't have here. There are some nice things about living less than five minutes from the border. Plus I'm closer to stryker!

Although...might be why I don't recall correctly.
holy hell. I'm ok to laugh at this, right? going to hell, bad person, yadayada... fine. and is ed, john bender? this might explain a couple of things.Speaking of antibiotics....
Got a good buddy/fraternity brother who lives in Lafayette, Louisiana and is the kind of guy who - if he didn't have bad luck - wouldn't have any luck at all. House was flooded and destroyed in Katrina, flight attendant wife cheated on him, he gave her a 2nd chance, she said "nahhhh" and left him, numerous incidents in college that were just.....things that happened to Ed.
He lives alone now and I guess it was raining pretty hard over the weekend. Sunday morning, he is jolted awake by a huge *CRASH*. An enormous raccoon, living in his attic, fell through his ceiling, landed on Ed and proceeded to attack him. Ripped off part of his ear lobe, bit his hands, ripped up his neck. I can't imagine worse ways to wake up that don't involve a prison gang or snakes. He ran around the house shutting all the doors, tried to triage his wounds, then grabbed leather work gloves and a broom and engaged in mortal combat with this wild garbage panda. He was finally able to coax him out of the open front door, then raced off to the ER where he got stitched up and received rabies shots, which, he said, hurt worse than any of the wounds.
Poor Ed....
