Just standing next to me as I'm gently hugging her. What is it? It...it...i feel sick. Ok, lets...- and before i can say, lets go to the bathroom- bleeeeeeeeeh, all over our bed.

Hows your night going?

Ugh.  My son had a stomach bug a few weeks ago.  I slept 3 hours in a 36 hour window. Vomit the first day, other end the next . . . .

So wife gives me a list with 15 things on it today.

I get home and she asks where the hot dogs and bottled water are. They were not on the list any she never mentioned them before I left.  :kicksrock:

This is still your fault.  You need to work on your mind reading skills.

I would pull a Homer Simpson and just buy what I want and then tell her how far off her list was from what we actually got.  Then it's her fault for giving you the wrong list.

New motor for the AC’s air handler is coming Thursday morning. We sent the dog off to enjoy some AC at a local daycare/boarding place for fancy dogs. House is like a sweat lodge at 84 degrees. Humidity has to be pretty high. Think I’m going on site tomorrow to enjoy AC for a little while.

When I first started dating my wife in 2002, I did some laundry with her stuff in it. Ended up shrinking a couple of her bras or something. She has been doing all of our laundry since.

About a year later she sent me to the store for a list of something. Came home with about 80% of her list. She has been doing all of the shopping since. And I mean ALL: grocery, clothes, Christmas shopping, everything.

We got married in 2004, and about 6 months before we got married I told her: I love sports. I love watching all sports all the time - all day football on Sundays, Royals games during baseball season, all of it. She married me anyway and has never once in 19 years of marriage taken the TV away to watch something she wanted to watch.

You guys are amateurs.  :banned:

Saw my PCP today. Told him the drug screen he was planning to run could go either way, and that I didn't care as long as he didn't terminate me from his practice. He just laughed, and didn't run the screen.

At Joyce's old hospital the doc always called it positive for the Austin Herb. CPS didn't care and neither did they.

she won't touch a concussion.

this would be her probable 4th, definite 3rd.  she got smacked in the head by one of those retractable nylon belt things that they use to create lines in lobbies.   migraine, nausea and fatigue.  we've been down this road.  it's a concussion.

trying to get her into another concussion specialist that doesn't need a referral.

Isn't the business owner of the retractable nylon belt things culpable? Can you demand his insurance provide prompt and professional medical care?

Officially up to 88 degrees in the house. Going for a walk to achieve equilibrium.

That really sucks.  I couldn't stand it.  I'd stay at a hotel or a friend's or family member's.  I would never be able to get to sleep in that heat.

soooo, no more dark mode?

Scroll down, to the bottom or the page, and hit "Theme".  And then Football Guys (Dark).

Also, I blame mrs. furley.  She's the WORST.

It’s not easy, but one more day of this and it’s hopefully back to normal.

Drove to Kansas tonight to take Joyce to see her mom. 13 hours half of it in the rain and the highway was thick with semis. I fixed a Tito's dirty martini, turned on the TV and Goodfellas was on. It's turning into a good day. And Saturday

Sixty trips around the sun. Had a nice walk this morning, then drove down to the state history museum for a guitar exhibit. Came back and paid off the Passat that took me there. It has 19,993 miles.

Off to meet the family for lunch at Red Lobster, then home to tweak my new guitar until it's ready to deliver both twang and terror. Pretty, pretty good little birthday.

So, my wife flew down to Florida last week to visit the kids (down there for college).  She flew Allegiant which goes direct from our closest airport to about 30 minutes from their apartment complex. Flights are generally cheaper than the bigger carriers, too.

Well, cheaper until:

  • She decided to extend her stay by a couple of days; had to pay the difference in fares, so the Thursday flight was a bit more than the original Tuesday flight - about 20% of the original round trip.
  • She didn't realize the 6:00 Thursday flight was AM so she was going to have to be at the airport around 4:30AM
  • She was fighting a migraine because she forgot to take her glasses and had to sleep in her contacts all week (she's legally blind without them)
  • As a result, she messed up on what time she had to leave for the airport and missed her flight
  • Since she missed it without rescheduling, she got no credit or refund, and had to buy another one-way ticket to fly home on Saturday, which ended up costing about 80% of the original round trip price.

So all in all, spent twice as much as originally intended. Oh and she was way over the weight limit on her checked bag and got dinged another $50 at the airport.  Fortunately a lot of that was stuff she was leaving down there so she'll be OK on that front coming home.

What fun.

Many happy returns to you GB and @krista4. Sorry our Vegas trips couldn't coincide again this year.

Allegiant, Spirit, Frontier, and the other LCCs are all the same. Nickel and diming for everything.

TBH I don't think this is a case of nickel-and-dime, although I agree with your statement.  She paid a bit extra up front for the ability to change her return date; there was no charge for changing other than the difference in the fare.

All of the extra expenses were completely on her - not realizing it was an early AM flight, screwing up and not getting to the airport in time, not realizing it far enough ahead that she could have re-scheduled on the original ticket package.

THat was the night of day one. I'm   back in   Austin as of a few hours ago. Went to Denver from Kansas, then Denver to Austin today. I think it was three days 2000 miles. Not too bad. We got to spend two nights in Oakley at the Annie Oakley Motel.
