I was gonna say Josh Gordon in 2013, but the best 4-game streak of any WR in league history (yardage) was last 3 games of regular season then the quarters. He was good but not great in the semis and finals. Similarly, Shady McCoy had his 217 yard snowstorm game in the quarters....and put up like 32-34 points in PPR in the Finals...but just OK in the Semis. Had them both that year, along with AJG, VJax, Thomas in the 12 TD "it's so easy!" year...team was a monster.

I remember that Shady game. I had him on my roster that year.  Vs Detroit!

Also, Volek/Bennett were awesome in the run up....quarters and semis....lot of those owners lost the Championship game when they cooled off.

Yes. I also recall a Peyton Hillis run but not sure.

In 2000, standard scoring (at the time), Marshall Faulk put up 121 fantasy points in 3 rounds.

Just looked... this would have been week's 15-17 (prior to moving to week 16 Stooper Bowl).

EDIT: Quick check on totals... last 3 weeks of 2000; 434 yds rush, 137 yds rec, 11 total TDs.

Don't have time to look up the stats right now, but I had Jamaal Charles in 2013 and he was pretty good. As I recall, in addition to his 5 TD game in the semis, he had 100+/1TD in the quarters/final.

Marcus mother f***ing Robinson.  1999 week 15.

*Cade McNown at QB.  Robinson has 48 yards with :22 seconds reaming in the 2nd quarter.

Finishes with 11 catches, 170 yards and 3 TDs.

**He has 6/93 with freaking Shane Mathews at QB the next week.  ***And 7/84 with Shaun King at QB the final week.

I remember the trilogy of Marshall, Warner, and Holt carrying me that year. Bruce was pretty awesome too.

Thanks for the memories boys!  In 2004 I won my second consecutive title riding Volek and Bennet to the championship game and eeking out a SB win when they cooled off.  The previous year I picked up Kevan Barlow after Garrison Hearst went down in week 13.  Here's Kevan Barlow's run through the 2003 fantasy playoffs:

Week 14: 18-154-1 and 3-23-0 = 26.7 pts

Week 15: 18-85-2 and 6-66-0 = 33.1 pts

Week 16: 30-154-1 and 3-33-1 = 33.7 pts

Good times!

Great memory for me...

Best week 15 ever for a duo with this old school scoring format

Kordell Stewart and Yancy Thigpen

Stewart week 15  303-3 (33, 69, 21) and 49-2

Thigpen week 15 6-175-3

QB got 2x points for rushing TDs and TDs were 1-19 yd 6 pts, 20-49 yd 9 pts, over 50 12 pts, Yardage 3 for every full 50 plus 6 point bonus at 300

WR got their yardage bonus at 100.

Kordell: 9+12+9+12+12+24 yardage = 78 pts

Thigpen: 9+12+9+15 yardage = 45 pts

Also had Rod Smith playing in that game who post 9+9+12 = 30 pts

My brother in law and I were playing and I was roughly 151  points down for the last playoff spot (our playoffs were week 16/17).  Typical weekly average for a team was in the 70s-80s.  I ended up posting 153 pts from these three alone and the rest of my team match his team who tanked in the 30s that week.

Marshall Faulk may be the GOAT for career fantasy playoff production. In his 35 career week 14-16 games, he averaged 21.6 ppg (PPR). No non-QB with 20+ games has a higher ppg, and the only non-QB with more total points in games 13-15 of the regular season is Jerry Rice (who played 58 games at 17.9 ppg).

If we limit it to the 6 year stretch from 1996 through 2001 (ages 23-28), Faulk played all 18 fantasy playoff games and averaged 29.9 ppg, playing at a 16-game pace of 325/1449/18.7 rushing and 92/927/6.2 receiving.

Here is the single season leaderboard for total fantasy points (PPR) in games 13-15 (edited to add: which has been weeks 14-16 in recent decades, but the NFL did bye weeks differently for part of this time period):

115.0    LaDainian Tomlinson    2003
114.7    Jamaal Charles    2013
112.2    Marshall Faulk    2001
108.0    Odell Beckham    2014
106.8    Marshall Faulk    2000
104.4    Larry Johnson    2005
104.3    Marshall Faulk    1999
103.8    Steven Jackson    2006
99.2    Warrick Dunn    2000
98.9    Drew Bennett    2004

Interesting that even in PPR, OBJ is only WR in Top 10. I wonder if that ratio will change as the league becomes more pass-happy.

For reference, the two top WRs in the first two rounds of this year's playoffs, Hopkins and Julio, have about 50pts each, so they would both need monster games this Sunday to crack the Top 10.

If we give half credit for game 13 and full credit for games 14 & 15, then the fpt (PPR) leaderboard looks like this:

109    RB Todd Gurley    2017
100    RB Marshall Faulk    2001
100    RB Jamaal Charles    2013
98    RB Marshall Faulk    2000
93    RB LaDainian Tomlinson    2003
93    WR Odell Beckham    2014
86    WR Terrell Owens    2000
86    RB Steven Jackson    2006
85    RB Larry Johnson    2005
85    RB Marshall Faulk    1999
84    WR Jerry Rice    1995
83    RB Priest Holmes    2003
83    RB Corey Dillon    1997
81    RB Warrick Dunn    2000
80    RB Kevan Barlow    2003
79    QB Kirk Cousins    2015
77    WR Patrick Jeffers    1999
77    RB Maurice Jones-Drew    2006
77    RB Eddie George    2000
76    RB Tiki Barber    2005
75    WR Marvin Harrison    2002
75    RB David Johnson    2015
75    RB Eric Dickerson    1984
75    TE Jordan Reed    2015

This is everyone with at least 30 ppg after rounding (since 2.5g x 30ppg = 75 pts); Reed was actually only at 74.8 fpts.

(I'm using games instead of weeks because this list goes back to before the season was standardized at 17 weeks. But every season has been 16 games except for the strike-shortened ones.)

This is for weeks 14-16 (in recent seasons). I did the search for team game number 13-15, which is the same thing. Except in the 1980s there was no bye week, and in 1993 there were two bye weeks, so we want different week numbers for then (but still games 13-15). I am leaving out seasons with less than 16 games, including 1987, 1982, and everything before 1978.

If you want to see other versions of the list, you can follow the link and change the search settings on the PFR play index.

Didn't Clinton Portis have a big playoff run with the Broncos?   I recall a 5 TD game.

Indeed he did. Week 14, 2003... 54 fantasy pts (standard scoring)

According to his game log, Portis followed it up with 38/139/2 the following week (plus 1/6/0 in the air), for a total of 27.5 PPR points. But he didn't play in Weeks 16-17, which would explain why he's not on this list. Anyone remember what happened? It couldn't have been that the Broncos were locked into their playoff spot, since the Dolphins finished with the same 10-6 record that year. I'm assuming he must have gotten dinged up (no surprise considering he had 94 carries over Weeks 13-15). He did come back for the playoffs and put up 17/68/0 in a blowout loss to the Colts.

By the way, in Weeks 13-15 he recorded 117.8 PPR points; if he had timed that run during the three playoff weeks he would be No. 2 on @ZWK's list.

I had a week 15 miracle from John Taylor vs the Rams in 1989 - 11 catches 286yds 2 TD - one 92 and one 95. Our league had bonus for TDs over 60 - they were worth 10.

In 1999 I had Qadry Ismail (Ravens) in Week 14: 6 catches, 258 yards, 3 TDs

In 2000 I had Warrick Dunn (Bucs) in Week 14: 210 yards, 2 TDs (then in Week 16 I had James Stewart of the Lions who had 164 yards)

In 2009 I had Jerome Harrison (Browns) in Week 15: 286 yards, 3 TDs (he was a monster the last 3 games of the year)
