US cybersecurity firm FireEye hit by 'state-sponsored' attack (1 Viewer)

A foreign country broke in and stole the hacking tools of a cybersecurity firm that has contracts for both large companies and foreign countries.

What should the US do in retaliation to these types of attacks? Do we hack the country back?

Tough to say without a TON more information on who/what/when/where/how etc

ETA:  I'll say, if it's like any of the other incidents that happen daily, then this will be taken care of in the day to day fighting that goes on between countries every minute of every day.  I guess the private company could attempt to sue in an international court, but I know virtually nothing about that part of the legal world.
