Has anyone heard or can confirm Derrick Ward and Brandon Jacobs both being out? I received a Scoop report from four different people here. Apparently, Droughns starting but can't confirm.
ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that Reuben Droughns is likely to start for the Giants on Sunday night. This may be speculation on Clayton's part. He suggests that Derrick Ward (ankle) may sit out the game, and Brandon Jacobs (knee) has a chance to play, but that goes against everything that's been written during the week in New York and indications from coach Tom Coughlin. If we had to guess, we'd still believe Ward will be active and start against the Eagles.
Be careful.IMHO, I think Clayton's pulling a CYA move. He's been talking against Ward all weekend (Friday on). I think he's trying to say he has inside scoop. If that's true, why would Coughlin have said what he said about Ward (resting rather than practicing) and should be a go?Until someone like Glazer chimes in, I'm not bailing on Ward for Rube. If you don't have other options due to the late game, well sorry - that does suck (and I have that situation in one league).
