Panic Mode! Who are you giving up on?

Ameer Abdullah (broke it down in his thread on here) but TLDR version is talent doesn't amount to anything if the overall team cannot resolve foundational issues and there's no commitment to any player.

Official Ameer Abdullah - The Bandwagon

I dug through this thread and pondered for a while but I ended up dropping Abdullah for West. Too often we let the phrase "but he's so talented" cloud what we see happening. I fell into that boat over and over with David Wilson, Jerick McKinnon, Montee Ball and (to some extent) DMC. These guys...

    Montee Ball

Started him cuz he's my best option and he got opportunity, but he looks awful. Just horrendous. Most likely it's the line, but he's showing no command that he will try to make something happen.

    RB's about to break out?

Some bold stances. I watched Stormy at UCF and he was good but not fast, cuts were OK and he was a good pass catcher. I see Stacy as a bulldozer, not sure Storm fits that same bill.

Week 5 Waiver Wire Watch (post wk4)

Obvious DUH pickup but FPs saying if A. Williams is available and you need a desperation, his match up against ATL is great.

Week 5 Waiver Wire Watch (post wk4)

Agree. Wouldn't drop Ertz, but I may play him over Ertz this week if you got him. Ertz's usage in Philly is confusing right now, while ASJ will be 2nd in line for targets behind VJax. And he's a size problem for DBs

Best Backup QB's To Own If The Starter Went Down?

Vick is easily the best on there. I like Moore cuz he's a gunslinger and Manziel is destined to start sooner or later if Browns keep losing. Rest is crapshoot. But Vick is easily the guy to get, and maybe EJ Manuel if someone dropped him for Orton. Orton is bad.

what effect will losing Bushrod have?

Set it, forget it. Forte is a guy you ride through the season.

Is Now the Time to Sell Calvin Johnson?

Selling CJ is silly unless you can get a Top 5 RB and a WR2 with upside. Is he a bit gimpy, yes. But he's a beast among men. You may have to risk games where he's a decoy, but you keep Megatron for when he's healthy.

Austin Seferian-Jenkins - What do you think?

I may be Crazy to roll this guy over Ertz. But I see garbage time point and targets in favor of ASJ.

I cut the chord with AP-- and I feel surprisingly ok!

I've held him for this long. Would be pointless not to see what happens at hearing next week. Heat has died down a lot. Even more for Ray Rice thing too. Still slim chance he plays, but that slim is better than the RB at the bottom of my bench.

    The 2014 K (kickers) Thread

I find to hard to call him Top 5 just yet, but the biggest benefit it your "set it and forget it" kicker plays for the Denver Broncos. No promise he has a ton of FG opps in a game, but he will have lots of easy shots as Peyton can get him close. As for the under pressure argument, he hasn't had...

    Ahmad Bradshaw Outlook

I can't sell this guy right now in my league. Was hoping to swap him for Kelce, but the guy said he can't trade him for a back-up RB. Hope Bradshaw stays healthy then and increases his value later on.

    Asiata vs. McKinnon

I wouldn't be in this thread if I wasn't invested in him (drafted AP). :bye: But the Asiata vs McKinnon debate is one of the few things still being debated. We all know Donnell looks great, Kelce is beastly, Sankey is gonna do great etc etc. So we need something to still watch and debate...

    Asiata vs. McKinnon

During the post-game interview on NFL.com, Zimmer says pass pro was troubling and "guys in the running game getting out of their spots ... Was frustrating." Not sure what he means on that second part, whether it was blockers or the runners. EDIT: If you're curious to see how the two backs did...

    Asiata vs. McKinnon

Haven't been able to rewatch the sacks, but NFL.com has the two INTs and McKinnon goofed on making the tackle in both. Of course, the INTs are ultimately Ponders fault. In the Pick-6 play Peppers outruns McKinnon and in the second INT the pass is behind McKinnon (so not his fault) yet he wasn't...

    Asiata vs. McKinnon

Still don't think the dust has settled on if there is a clear-cut workhorse yet. Coaches tried to put game in Ponders hands instead of handing it off to the RBs and trying trick plays to CPatt. Asiata had more carries tonight and better avg, but a fumble. McKinnon showed speed, but couldn't do...

    Asiata vs. McKinnon

Don't know. But Ponder had 44 passing attempts, which even in a blow out, seems like a lot to put in your back-up's back up QB. The RB weren't gonna claw themselves back, but hell take that time to answer all our questions and see what both got when you work them to the bones.

    Asiata vs. McKinnon

Really? McKinnon was out there most of the 4th and Asiata was rested. Honestly, to say either looked good is a lot. They did what they could, but both didn't separate from the other, IMO. Think we still need more time to see if coaches don't keep it as a 2:1 split.
