I'm out by less than 2 points. L. McCoy killed the team... I went short bench and early bye weeks so I needed to rely on my studs and McCoy didn't carry his weight. Harvin being Harvin and A Green injury didn't help either.

 Hill, Cunningham and Archer aren't on bye. Not exactly an elite stable, but certainly better than nothing.

Last two weeks I've survived by less than 5. Just need the Vikes to go back to the face of the franchise, Asiata...

Sorry about last week. Got too busy.

Awards and notable teams of the week.

Strongest Living Team: Amazingly, there are still only 4 teams averaging over 200. It's amazing because a whopping 3400 teams scored over 200 this week, tripling the previous high. The leader of the pack is Entry 102658, averaging 206.9 points per week, more than 5 points ahead of the closest competitor.

Strongest Dead Team: A dead team snuck back into the top 100 this week. Entry 101147 is averaging 192.6 points per week and has never scored below 180, except in week 2, when they died. This team would be a good candidate for the Icarus Award, but not this week!

Keep Your Day Job Award: We have a battle here! Entry 104264 managed to score below 100 in this highest-scoring of all weeks, bringing their average down to 83.98. But that's still 0.1 better than Entry 108654, who still has the lowest average at 83.88 despite managing 112 points this week.

Safest Team: Entry 113708 still leads here, having cleared the cutline by over 49 points every week.

Just Skating By Award: I'm changing this one a little, counting up the cumulative points above the cutline. And we have a battle! Entry 110829 checks in at 83.1, meaning they've cleared the cutline by just over 10 points per week. But 1rebmun (Entry 110793) is right on their tail at 83.8. Nobody else is under 90.

Icarus Award: Mixing this up a bit too, because something amazing happened. This week (not surprisingly) saw the highest score in the entire contest to date. Chicago Hooligan (Entry 102409) racked up a massive 292.3 points this week, which is fantastic for them, except for that they died way back in week 2.

Woulda Coulda Shoulda Award: See Icarus Award.

Steady Eddie Award: Entry 103642 is the living team with the lowest standard deviation, at 6.72. This team has scored between 158.1 and 174.2 every single week.

Bipolar Award: Sucdin (Entry 110742) is the living team with the highest standard deviation, at 47.2. Their scores have ranged from lows of 151 and 152 to highs of 240 and 280.

Notable Teams:

QBs: 31 teams started with more than 7 QBs. They're all dead. Another 16 teams started with exactly 7 QBs. Of those, only FightinIrish (Entry 101575) is still with us.

RBs: We're finally down to two of the original six 12-RB teams, Flying Hogs (Entry 104671) and nifnif (Entry 110694).

WRs: 18 teams started with 12 WRs. Three are still alive.

TEs: Two teams with 7 TEs survive, Entry 108153 and Patsrule (Entry 106386).

PKs: 12-kicker guy (Entry 111066) barely squeaked by this week, but is still with us!

DEFs: Entry 105135 is the only team left with 7 defenses.

And me, you ask? I cut it sorta close this week, clearing the cutline by 20. The end is near, though: I will have no RBs going for me next week unless Pierre Thomas returns.

More to come later...

And now the players:

Eliminated Players: Ding dong, Dion Lewis is dead! Finally, we've killed somebody off. All 3, yes 3, of his original owners, have left the contest. Amazingly, nobody else has been eliminated.

The Biggest Mistake: The same contenders here. Matt Prater is down to a 4.7% survival rate (12/258, $7), while Calvin Johnson is at 6.8% (108/1578, $31).

The Survivor: No surprise that it's still DeMarco Murray, but he (and everyone else) has dropped below 50% survival. 49.7% of teams with Murray are still alive.

The Bargain: A few candidates here. Mohamed Sanu and Mychal Rivera each cost $3 and each has a 39.7% survival rate, but Sanu has 7 times as many owners. Slightly less bargain basement is Ahmad Bradshaw, who cost $9 but has a 43.9% survival rate, second only to Murray.

The Parasite: You know what? I'm going to go with Matt Schaub. It's true that his survival rate is terrible (only 6 of his 86 owners are still around), but he's managed to stick around on 6 living teams despite scoring a TOTAL of -1.0 (that's MINUS ONE) points this season.

The Zero: Schaub is the only guy with negative points, but there are still 26 players in the contest who haven't scored a single point this season. The king of the Zeros is still Cody Latimer, is owned by 2469 teams, of which 499 (20.2%) are still hanging in there.

Haha, wow I own many of those guys!

Megatron!

Sanu!

Latimer!

Murray!

Lol and my favorite parasites... McCown and Ball!

Somehow still alive exept this week I have to use every non injured no bye player exept have an extra useless kicker and defense.

Love the award posts!

Yep hanging in there by a thread every week.

At least I got an award this week..

How often has Stedman bailey counted for any team?

Gotta figure he'll start counting for some of his 43 remaining teams (from 202 original).

Latimer scares me. If he ever starts counting those teams could be dangerous.

Will the remaining Sims owner survive to benefit from him?

One can hope: Latimer/Bailey owner - 109585

899 guys with Ingram.

Given that I've had sketchy running back play most of the year I'm very happy to have him.

-QG
Me too. Eddie Lacy on bye and Montee Ball hurt and terrible left me with Ingram, Benny Cunningham, Robert Turbin, and Matt Asiata this week.

Kelvin Benjamin flopped, but Ingrams numbers really helped.

IMO no QB gets a bigger pass than Cam. He's an objectively bad passer much of the time. That's why I went against the grain and shunned Benjamin. Brees would have gotten Benjamin 20 pts last night.

What about the TD that Benjamin dropped?
Sure, but every WR drops passes from time to time. It doesn't make Cam's performance not objectively horrible. The announcers kept commenting about how pretty Cam's passes looked as they sailed over the WR's head. Who cares? Isn't a Manning "duck" that's accurate a much better pass? I've never seen a QB forgiven for such bad passing on such a consistent basis.

Was at the game, high endzone seats so the "All-22" view. Newton was absolutely terrible. Just completely missed on passes. And not very often due to pressure or the young OL. Just horrible display of passing.

And it was a performance hardly limited to that game. The guy's never completed 2/3's of his passes in a season and never had a 2-1 TD-Int ratio.

He can do amazing things with his athleticism. That rushing TD Thursday was amazing, for example.

But a QB who actually throws the ball to other players? He's really not good at it and never has been good at it.

How many will be without a quarterback this week?

Who has -

Romo & Cutler only

Romo & Ryan only

Romo & Stafford only

Romo & Rodgers only

Romo & TEN qb only

Romo & BUF qb only

I know I debated 2 QBs vs. 3 QBs with some guys earlier. Since 1 of my 3 is Romo, I'm very happy I have 3.
Me too. I threw in Bortles for $3 to give me one more potential option. Glad I have him this week with no Romo or Cutler.

I only have Bortles counting this week and I went with 3 mccown hurt/sucked and Matty ice being cold and on bye.

I am moving on but in trouble next week. My horses Foster and Morris on bye, and all three backup RBs out: Jackson, Moreno, Ball.

Need one or both to heal quick!!
