Wholehearedly agree. I am not sure why seeing Drake stand right on the sideline line the entire game supremely annoyed me -- giving Nick Nurse little shoulder massages, hugging players coming on and off the bench, mouthing off at Middleton and Antetokounmpo even as they slashed through us in a losing effort, the whole "LOOK AT ME!" routine.

Just be a fan.
Can't decide if I hate him or @strykerpks more.

Idk if Toronto is actually paying him for his "global ambassador" gig, but regardless, it's clear they have fully embraced him as an extension of their staff. If that's what the franchise is okay with (and it seems they are), I think that should be within their jurisdiction on what he's allowed to do and not the league's, so long as he isn't getting into physical altercations with players.
Totally agree however if the league has sent a warning to Tor to deal with it and haven't the league has full jurisdiction to get involved and do something about it. Again this isn't people saying we hate the guy picking on players. Just the general Stay in your dam seat and stop acting a fool.

538 is ok, but they throw out some terrible predictions too.  I don't remember the actual numbers, but their predictions were 20-25% higher for the Celtics when they HCA against the Cavaliers in the ECF.  No model should ever be that far off from an efficient market like the NBA.

If the true win probability of the Raptors is 17%, the sharps would bet that value and shape the market closer to the actual WP%.  It goes back to the old saying "put your money where your mouth is" and I'll trust that over predictions/opinions that lose nothing if they are wrong.
For better or for worse, 538 has the current team rating of TOR a slight tick above MIL when they factor in playoff experience. They have MIL as a 55% favorite to advance . . . but the flip side is they have TOR with a 45% chance of winning (which is a lot higher than anyplace else I've seen).

That would explain why their finals probability is higher.  They are still only 29.9% to win the ECF according to the market.

I wouldn't extend Drake's presence with the universal acceptance of him as an ambassador.

The Drake Curse notion caused a lot of backlash against Drake being at games during the Leafs' playoff run this year.

Drake being at the games does not necessarily equal Toronto fans loving him there.

As for an ambassador for the Raps, I vastly prefer Nav.

Another problem with Drake (other than being one of the softest dudes in the rap game) is he's such a bandwagon fan and really will support anyone who is winning.  I remember him suddenly being a huge Kentucky Wildcat fan out of nowhere when they were dominant a few years back.   He also loves the Astros.  One of my favorite moments is seeing him get rejected to the Heat locker room after the finals:  https://youtu.be/n8l_6jFZxjA

Ohio State and Urban Meyer and then Clemson Football both rejected him as well

He should have never joined the Warriors.  Would have been better for almost everyone.  Not saying he had to stay in OKC, but that turned most of the basketball world against him and he can't handle criticism.
On the plus side, he'll have a 3 peat on his resume when it's all said and done.

Going to Game 5 tonight, hope the Bucks get their groove back.  Need better spacing, quicker passes to open guys that actually will hit shots tonight.  Giannis needs to see these double teams sooner and make good decisions.  Need more transition opportunities also.  At the moment the Bledsoe signing looks terrible, would have rather spent the money on middleton/lopez/brogdon.

Will be wearing a t-shirt that says:

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Making Milwaukee Great Again

seriously. guy will have multiple rings from joining the team, I think he is doing ok. Not sure how many NBA players can say that again for who knows how long. the fact that GSW is one of the true dynasties out there in the current NBA structure is a thing we will have a real hard time seeing again

All credit to the Raptors for figuring out Anteaterninendo's launch point and knocking off his rhythm. That's the first thing ol' Celtic defensive specialist Larry Siegfried would pound into us @ basketball camp - "Throw off their first step & they'll do the rest themselves". Then he'd run us til we puked, which left us heaving out the words "If we can beat em w their first step, why we gotta do all this?...." I just wish they'd play better on offense. It's tiring to say "uh-oh" when anyone but Kawhi shoots the ball. Still don't think Kawhi is an ideal iso guy, but i honestly can't remember someone who carried such great & even burdens on offense and defense as he. Kudos. Whoever breaks away in this series (still rooting for the 'sconsinites), i hope they do so in a way that says "We're ready for the Dubs". And htf did Drake get big in the first place?

that's the biggest question. honestly surprised he hasn't gotten popped on the sideline either. one would think it is just a matter of time. An errant pass, or something just land right in his face. Dude is basically on the court half the time (at least seemed that way in the Sixers series), and it isn't like he is Spike Lee from the 90s talking some smack from the side.

Interesting point. Antetokounmpo has these incredibly long and shifty two-step strides that make it look (to me anyway) that he's travelling half the time. The dude is just so long and fluid such that disrupting the ability to launch on those strides in the first place would totally disrupt that flow.

That's why Wilt is still ridiculously ahead of every human i've seen for putting the ball in the hole but is never in the talk for alltime numero uno - cuz he ain't got the hardware. Russ has the 11 championships because he was ubiquitously already standing where Wilt wanted to be when it mattered or he was needing to get his flow. And the rest of the team - Satch Sanders, the Jones boys, even slowfoots like Heinsohn & Bailey Howell, would use their handchecks to make sure opponents planted a quarter inch off their spot. Even giants with Dr J skills or lights-out shooters got their spots & their launch & their flow and that's where you stop em - ten times for every one you get over top of em.

  It’s the best part. I can’t wait for this stupid season to end so we can get to the good stuff.
agree here. the off-season should be lot of movement, but most likely the most enjoyable part will be before all the moves are made. The AD trade I think has to happen, and it is curious as to when it will. if with Boston it has to be after 7/1 right? would make sense for New Orleans to make a move before the draft, but if Boston really puts together what they want they will need to deal with it.

once that goes in motion we can all play with FA moves and the possibilities. I think players don't resign until after the draft (believe opt out is 6/21, which many of the bigger players like Butler need to do first like opt out of current contract before he can explore a new one)

The ECF is tied 2-2

Nobody knows the health of one of the greatest players ever and if he will play in the finals

Warriors would only be slight favorites over the Bucks if the Bucks advance and KD doesn't play

This season isn't exactly over yet.

Warriors are waxing whomever comes out of the east. Ready to get to the good stuff.

Depends what you mean by slight favorite.  They are -240 right now to win the championship.  I don't see that changing much regardless of who wins the East.

I believe that price is assuming KD plays and are only 56% to win without.

Warriors just released a statement they anticipate both KD and Cousins to play in the finals, but didn't confirm they would be ready g1 so who knows.

biggest complaint after a quick glance at All NBA is (in my opinion) Lebron on 3rd team, though looking at list below not sure legit argument to put Aldridge over him (and how the hell does Bagley Jr. have a vote over majority of NBA. Almost seems like someone thought this was all-rookie)

Charlotte is officially screwed.....Wizards and Warriors dodged big bullets with Beal and Klay missing out.  Meanwhile.......Wade 2nd team vote???  Bagley with 3rd team???

He is chill.  Didn't you see his tweet?

It's sad how many NBA "fans" care about the off the court stuff.  I think Real Housewives is better suited for those personality types who enjoy drama.
Chillest dude in the league. His Twitter bio is literally "I'm me, I do me, and I chill."

And always been my favorite part,

Location: AT THE CRIB DOG

Plus his Twitter pic is freakin Ham from the Sandlot. I mean, c'mon bro...

Ben Simmons and Kendall Jenner broke up.
Woah, i thought this was just a joke. Heart breaking to say the least, young love

https://www.eonline.com/news/1043794/kendall-jenner-and-ben-simmons-split-after-1-year-what-went-wrong

https://hollywoodlife.com/2019/05/23/ben-simmons-caused-kendall-jenner-split-career-breakup/

ETA: funny enough, i did look at the 2nd article and according to them it is basketball related:

Kendall Jenner and Ben Simmons have ended their relationship and it has everything to do with his career — and his recent NBA championship loss — says a source close to the Philadelphia 76ers player. ”For Ben to lose in the playoffs and especially the way they did with a buzzer beater shot was gut wrenching. The team and Ben had so much riding on this year to be an amazing championship caliber year that since it ended the way it did really gutted everyone. Ben knew he wasn’t going to be a good person to be around with this summer since it really is going to stay with him and haunt him for awhile,” a source close to Ben told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY.

Instead of spending the summer living the good life with Kendall — like he did last year — our source says Ben plans to buckle down and focus on his ball game. “Ben wants to get better at basketball personally and as a team and he knows that he will be unable to devote the time a relationship needs when he is worried all about basketball. This upcoming year is a big contract year for Ben, he will be looking to sign a huge lucrative deal and he wants to show his team the devotion he has for them and not be in the news for all the wrong reasons.”

Kendall’s career, which is just as busy as Ben’s, was also a factor in the split says our source. “The schedules that Ben and Kendall have also didn’t really help their relationship status so they both mutually decided that it would be best to take a break from each other.”

the underlined/bolded is the best though.
