Much like Old Mil, I was focused on tilting the scales in my favor next week if I advance.

1.5 Diggs - While my gut says he'll disappoint this week, he's a great keeper candidate (probably 2nd behind CMac) with the easiest route to next week.
2.7 Shultz - Really liked a lot of guys here. Settled on Shultz because of the 2ppr. I also felt good that one of Evans, Goodwin, or Fournette would fall locking in my second keeper.
3.5 Godwin - See above plus good value at this spot.
4.7 Elliot - Why? Guess cause I needed a RB. I think this was a dead spot as I didn't care for any of the guys taken after this pick and before my next.
5.5 Ritchie - Here's where things fell apart. I thought you guys would let Dak or Daniel Jones slide, wow I was wrong. Another addition to my team of mediocrity.
6.7 Mitchell - Strongly considered Otton here but wanted to get a second RB would would post a score because I knew I was now stuck with draft two QBs.
7.5 Otton - Couldn't resist. I almost drafted him in the 5th and then again in the 6th.
8.7 Brown - Seemed like the last WR on the board who will get targets (although Hilton hurts him).
9.5 Minny D - Surprised how early D went. Head said Chargers so I'm not sure why I did this.
10.7 Gould - Glad I missed the weather forecast.
11/12 Huntley/Brown - And here's the reason why this will be a short season for me. I'm spotting everyone at least 10-30 points.

Went through the Footballguys weekly projections. I really miss David Dodds when I do these. Didn’t Bob Henry used to do weekly projections?

Anywho, lots of variations among the top five. I decided to rank from 1-11 for each of the projectors and award scores equal to the ranking. So, this is like golf and low scores are the best. Only looking at this weekend’s first round.

The scores would be a lot closer if you look at average scores, but this was an easier evaluation from the couch on my phone.

Wish this is the case but the reality is that I have the worst team. Fbgs is historically low on QB scores. Also they are 4 pt tds instead of our 6. Usually the guys getting 30-40 from their qbs advance and the rest is noise. Also the best ball aspect of this league smoothed out my advantage at the other positions.

Mitchell was projected for 6 pts and got 9. A few sticks projected for 1-2 pts will get that with a TD.

I got caught on the wrong end of the qb run. In hindsight o would gladly trade Baltimore qb and Ritchie for Heno or Purdy and a zero

And so it begins. Lawrence and Purdy with 40 spots. Geno 27. I think fbg projections were low by 4, 13, 28, and 30.

unlike some I guess I took keepers into zero consideration....can't remember if I have in the past....I just went BPA ....can't win if you don't advance I guess so to speak....we will see ....rely on drafting later I guess...

unlike some I guess I took keepers into zero consideration....can't remember if I have in the past....I just went BPA ....can't win if you don't advance I guess so to speak....we will see ....rely on drafting later I guess...

Hard to win when someone's keepers have a 20-30 pt head start on you. The good thing is that going into the second round there will be a bunch of future keepers available to draft and guys like me will be tossing Diggs back into the heap for you guys.

Weird stuff
Not complaining, but it seems weird that a 99 yard fumble recovery for TD is worth 8 pts, basically the same as a 10 yard TD reception. No yardage for the fumble return. It’s been that way for a while I guess but I’ve never really thought about it. Maybe next year we’ll give yardage to defenses for interceptions and fumble recoveries?
