I played blackjack last night on partypoker. Holy crap is that compulsive. RAPID FIRE! :excited:
Tell me about it - I keep losing all of my sportsbooks winnings :vowing not to play online cards for a while:
Actually, here's how it went:Lost a 100 on BJ and poker ($5-15 hands). Add to account (150).Lost it all on BJ and poker. Add to account (500).Start with 200 (BJ only -- $25-50 hands). Run it up to 1266 in less than 10 minutes (4:45 A.M. :lmao: ).Then, in a absolutely shocking turn of events, I log off and hit the sack. Probably the single best decision I have made in around 25 years.

nice!I've had swings like that in the early morning hours as well....but mine never ended well. Good for you. Now cash out and go get a hooker before you turn the machine on and lose it all in 15 minutes playing 100 a hand....not that I've ever done that or anything. :bag:

What helped is that my first two buy-ins had me hot right off the bat, only to bleed to death. So the third time around, same thing, but I ran like hell instead.

Going to play Anaheim pretty big tonight. I like the fact money has come in on Oakland all day long. Anaheim and the Under tonight looks good to me.

I don't think I've ever had a problem leaving the BJ table--gets boring. Online Craps on the other hand.... :tfp:

oh great! - another addiction for me to get hooked on!

Here is what I have for today:

Yanks -165

NYM/Fla Over 9

Det -165

Also have this prop bet:

Total number of players with more then 1 HR - Under 1.5 +118

So far I'm only on Oak/LAA over 9 for 2 units.

Oakland runs Estaban Loaiza out there, so the Angels should be good for at least 4-5 runs in the first 5 innings. The Angels counter with Kelvim Escobar, who's making his third start off the DL. Escobar can be very good, or he can be injured. Either way, I think the A's are going to make a game out of this and I see them putting up some runs.

g'luck

Some decent looking underdogs out there....Pettitte +130 over San Diego. Peavy isn't the same guy he was last year. Gotta think the value lies with Houston tonight.Livan Hernandez +140 over the Giants. Hernandez has been better of late and this Giants team is mired in an 8 game skid....You could pair these two up for a good payday ~4.5 to 1....
after losing 2 million dollars, my high priced hooker, golden toilet and monkey butler, I put this parlay in and saved the day.On Texas +117 today for slightly less than a million.

4 units on Philly. Weaver is awful, STL is cold (lost 5 in a row), and Myers has been damn good. I guess the line is only -116 partly because it's IN STL, which is fine by me. I'll always take a pitching differential like this one.

Solid afternoon here. Hit Texas and followed up with Seattle. Minor note from the Mariners game - Mark Lowel, 23 YO rookie pitcher, struck out Ramon Hernandez with a pitch that reached 102 on the gun. File his name away for later...

1 Unit on Mets -106

1/2 Unit Parlay

KC Hudson +135

Houstone Backe +124

Hudson's been solid for KC while Garcia is still Garcia. Backe's no great shakes, but Williams looks like a decent short here.

Also going to tail SLBD for 2 Units on Phily.

Seattle Mariners/Baltimore Orioles 2-August-2006 12:05 PM PST Total Points OVER 8.5 for Game -117
You wouldn't believe the size of the strike zone in this one. Total joke...also inconsistent. Two Orioles were ejected (I think one was the skipper) because of it. The O's also left quite a few on base...Whoever that ump was, I would not bet an over when he is behind the plate. He sucked.

EDIT: Just looked, 16 men LOB by O's! But check this out: 17 LOB by Seattle. Holy crap. I watched a lot of this, and I am telling you, whenever there were ducks on the pond, that strike zone got even bigger than it already was. A game like this will convince me, at times, that an ump could occasionally have a vested interest.

:goodposting: I watched nearly the whole game and the ump was pretty bad. The Oriole announcers were all over him as well. I was on Seattle, but the ump was terrible regardless.

I'll say this for the game - the announcers for Seattle radio were CONSTANTLY talking about the heat. It was 102 at game time, but the field had signs reading 116 and even 120. It was miserable. Perhaps the vested interest was in getting these players off the field....getting the umps in their dark colors off the field.Just my 2 cents.

Looks like houston did manage a win last night... how did Pettitte look?
I didn't get to see the game (sidenote: what the fwuck is up with DirecTV MLB Package? I can't get ALL the games on any one night. I never seem to get the Padres when they are at home. And on Saturday? Forget it...I'm getting nothing on Saturdays. Man... :hot: ) but they won 1-0 so I suppose he did alright. He's a good pitcher...just not having a great season.

Really feeling it today...

Adding:

Colorado -121 for 2 units

Hou/SDiego OVER 8.5 for 1 unit
WTF am I to go argue when GM is feeling it? Gimme 2.5 units on each of these plays!GM, you should see an envelope from me by week end too.....before I blow it all on baseball.

g'luck

I understand, but I can't buy that. For one, I didn't notice anybody struggling as if it was unbearable, and two, baseball players don't work hard. There are only a few short bursts for various players throughout...and I mean short. A different sport, maybe...I worked harder drinking beer at The Gorge in 110 degree heat (for TWO full days) than any bum out on that diamond today! :bowtie:

My early games:

Pitt +135

Tor/NYY O11 -105

Parlay Hou +134, NYM/Fla U8 -115

Parlay Atl/Pitt O9.5 -120, Hou/SD O8.5 -120

 Nice call here.I was watching this one when it was 9-2 Phils and decided to spend a little quality time with the wife. 5 minutes later I check the score and it's 9-8....so I told the wife I'd be back in a little while. Thankfully the 5 spot in the 8th inning let me go back to bed and rest easier.

Great day for me yesterday. doubled my account. My lone loss was the Houston/SD Over which got real close to cashing...Morgan Ensberg sent a drive deep in the 8th that fell right up against the wall for a double. A few more inches and I had a clean sweep on the day.Gotta keep up the mo. Early games. I sorta like Pittsburgh in this spot. They were hot before Atlanta cooled them off. They need to win today to avoid the sweep and perhaps Chacon pulls a Kip Wells for the Pirates? It's worth a stab at that price.

And since I just hate the Yankees, perhaps I'll parlay Chacon with Marcum as Corey Lidle does very littly to inspire -170 in me.

I have a few minutes to chew on this.

Agree GM. You can't play Lidle and the Yanks at -170. Lidle is nothing special. Also, Chacon is worth a shot, I just don't like the price now. It was in the 130s earlier this morning/last night. I may just play the RL at -125 and some Under.
