Still up at 11:07.
Makes sense.

I honestly was baffled. It was almost funny. I'd been frustrated with the platform for a while so it's not like I was thinking of changing. But to be fired like that was one of the oddest things I've ever seen in business.
This doesn't stop you from setting up the new forum does it? Maybe they'll forget to turn off the switch and it will just be a seamless transition? The old forum host told us they'd have the forum taken down at 9:00 AM ET.

https://c.tenor.com/BTLalhcei60AAAAC/gtfo-arigold.gifMaybe the owner of Invision caught wind of Customer Service's decision and ran in this morning shouting:
" YOU TOLD THEM WHAT????"
I envision Iggy slowly walking to the wall plug and reaching his hand toward it...It would be cool if his name was Iggy Invision.
Best I can tell, I think you just click on the thread title. How do you get to the first new unread message of a thread?
Thanks, man -- I got the ones in the main Forum Index but missed them in the Forum Headers. They're good to go now. Some random links here and there are broken (e.g. the links at the top the FFA and Political forums that point to each other). Small things to be worked out.
All good. Looking sharp so far, and I know the clay is still wet. Thanks, man -- I got the ones in the main Forum Index but missed them in the Forum Headers. Yes -- I hit that once, too and it cleared up the next time I checked on it. I think DNS caching is causing some of those random flashbacks. All good. ...
Did y'all catch the broken links up in the "Home > Forums > Our Forums" bar at the top? The Forums link at the top Footballguys.com's "Join Now" splash page is also broken -- though I wasn't sure if that was still intentional this early on. EDIT: To be clear ...all the links mentioned in this paragraph go to the Site Maintenance page ... they're not "broken' per se. They just don't link to where they used to.
I think DNS caching is causing some of those random flashbacks.
There are so many caches now between users and their data it's a wonder that anything ever updates.I think DNS caching is causing some of those random flashbacks.
I coulda had a V-8!
Clicked on 'Our Forums', saw the Site Maintenance page pop-up ... then refreshed the browser window. All is now good.
