In a league with 12 teams and 40 players to each team, I think its pretty funny that Miles Austin is still on the board after a five round rookie/FA draft.

People are sleeping on Tre Mason. Fisher is going to run the ball 30 times per game. Mason will eventually win the starting job. Running behind LT Long and LG Robinson is going to be unreal.
sssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Dont say any more or everyone will want one of these.
Agreed. If he makes it to 1.8 in my league I am swooping in and taking him.
Grabbed him at the 2.01 as the Stacy owner.

I hear you.... The 1.10 owner in my league is the Stacy owner, so I know I will have to jump sooner to get him

Yes that is awful late and he could be the starter before too long.

I didn't bother to read your league rules, but is TE not a requirement? I think I still would have passed on Freeman and Robinson and gone with Ebron and Marqise Lee. But can't argue your gut. Gotta go with it sometimes
Yes we don't have to start a te its 4 wr/te flex so I have a hard time drafting one. I think Allen is a better talent than lee and freeman had the best landing spot for a rb after Sankey.

That league must be -1 PPR for TE
No it's the same ppr 1 point for each reception wr or te no matter. But I also have Tate on my roster as well.

I would have taken him at the 2.01 but I own Stacy and prefer his situation to SF.

We are stalled so any new drafts?
Here are some of mine...

This one is 12 team, tiered PPR (.5 for RB, 1 for WR, 1.5 for TE):

http://football16.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=11209&O=17

This one is 12 team, normal PPR w/ QB super flex:

http://football11.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=25484&O=17

This one is 14 team, normal PPR w/ QB super flex, 7 devys per year, so some top guys this year are missing as previous year devys:

http://football19.myfantasyleague.com/2014/options?L=44321&O=17

1st round in the books in my FFPC dynasty. Pretty standard scoring with the TE bonus, just like the FPC. 12 team with the double flex.

1.01 Sammy Watkins

1.02 Eric Ebron

1.03 Mike Evans

1.04 Odell Beckham

1.05 Teddy Bridgewater

1.06 Bishop Sankey

1.07 Brandin Cooks

1.08 Carlos Hyde (me)

1.09 Kelvin Benjamin

1.10 Jordan Matthews

1.11 Tre Mason (me)

1.12 Johnny Manziel

I was the only team with two first round picks. I am fairly set on WR since we use the double flex. This definitely has a few surprises in it compared to what I have seen in many other drafts.

12 team PPR

2.evans

4.hyde

5.cooks

7.beckham

8.benjamin

Pretty normal except the QBs. Bridgewater at 5 in a 1 QB league seems crazy to me.

Agreed. I am not sold on taking a QB anywhere in the first, but that is my personal philosophy. I also haven't seen Ebron go so early much. I still think people overvalue that TE bonus in the FFPC.

Funny thing is I would have taken Cooks at 1.08 but he was taken at 1.07. I would have taken Matthews at 1.11, but he was gone at 1.10.

Zealots 39 draft. IDP, non-PPR

Almost through three rounds

1.01 Watkins, Sammy BUF WR
1.02 Evans, Mike TBB WR
1.03 Sankey, Bishop TEN RB
1.04 Cooks, Brandin NOS WR
1.05 Ebron, Eric DET TE
1.06 Hyde, Carlos SFO RB
1.07 Beckham, Odell NYG WR
1.08 Freeman, Devonta ATL RB
1.09 Latimer, Cody DEN WR
1.10 Adams, Davante GBP WR
1.11 Lee, Marqise JAC WR
1.12 Matthews, Jordan PHI WR
2.01 Manziel, Johnny CLE QB
2.02 Mason, Tre STL RB
2.03 Mosley, C.J. BAL LB
2.04 Benjamin, Kelvin CAR WR
2.05 Robinson, Allen JAC WR
2.06 Hill, Jeremy CIN RB
2.07 Mack, Khalil OAK LB
2.08 Carey, Ka'Deem CHI RB
2.09 Richardson, Paul SEA WR
2.10 Bridgewater, Teddy MIN QB
2.11 Bortles, Blake JAC QB
2.12 West, Terrance CLE RB
3.01 Moncrief, Donte IND WR
3.02 Crowell, Isaiah CLE RB
3.03 Amaro, Jace NYJ TE
3.04 Bryant, Martavis PIT WR
3.05 Shazier, Ryan PIT LB
3.06 Seferian-Jenkins, Austin TBB TE
3.07 Williams, Andre NYG RB
3.08 Taliaferro, Lorenzo BAL RB
3.09 Sims, Charles TBB RB
3.10 Lawrence, Demarcus DAL DE

If it matters to anyone, I'm Arizona. Not sure if I'm getting guys at the "right spot" but I'm getting guys that I wanted. I feel like I've gotten the #1 dynasty QB, LB, and DE available in this draft. And the other three (Freeman, Adams, and Taliaferro) aren't shabby either.

What's going on with this league/draft?
Not totally sure I understand the question. Thought the draft went mostly according to script and followed ADP relatively closely. If there's something specific, I'd be happy to answer. I am Prancin' 2, Electric Bugaloo and I traded all 3 of my 1st rounders for players and only made a few picks overall.

The only thing that maybe is a little weird is that we cutdown before the draft to a combined 20 picks/players. That means that a lot of the picks in round 4 and 5 are skipped because owners prefer keeping a couple extra guys than using "roster spots" on those late picks. The first few picks that were skipped the commish was screwing around and drafting made up players then dropping them. Is that what you are referring to?

Just a thought but maybe this?

3.07 31. Surfin' Fools * Sam, Michael STL

Why is Michael Sam even being drafted let alone in the 3rd round before guys like Paul Richardson.

Agree with the bold. I think what people forget is that the 1.5x applies to all TEs and so the baseline production is going up significantly as well.

I think 1.03 is probably right for Ebron given how flat 1.03-1.08 seems to be this year, but wouldn't take him over Evans. Assuming 1.02 also had 2.02, bet he wishes he took Evans + ASJ/Amaro vs. Ebron and 2.02 WR.

If you can flex a TE, then 1.5 ppr increases their value by a lot. Last year, guys like Olsen, Clay, and Gates (TE10 or so) had around a 72/800/5 line and scored about as much as Marvin Jones or Golden Tate (WR31ish) in a league that is 1.0 ppr across the board. But if it's 1.5 ppr for TEs, then that gives about an extra 36 points to the TEs which makes those guys worth as much as someone like Victor Cruz or TY Hilton (WR20ish).

If you can't flex a TE, then 1.5 ppr doesn't help nearly as much. The advantage mostly just goes to the few TEs who get a ton of receptions, like Graham or (in previous years) Witten.

Ha ha....I just made my wife feel bad because she took Ka'Deem Carey at 2.1 in a 12 team, 1 PPR (but as the #3 RB off the board) and here he goes at 2.2. His ADP appears to be down quite a few spots from there although a certain FGB staff member ranks Carey way higher than most.

1st round in the books in my FFPC dynasty. Pretty standard scoring with the TE bonus, just like the FPC. 12 team with the double flex.

1.01 Sammy Watkins

1.02 Eric Ebron

1.03 Mike Evans

1.04 Odell Beckham

1.05 Teddy Bridgewater

1.06 Bishop Sankey

1.07 Brandin Cooks

1.08 Carlos Hyde (me)

1.09 Kelvin Benjamin

1.10 Jordan Matthews

1.11 Tre Mason (me)

1.12 Johnny Manziel

If you can flex a TE, then 1.5 ppr increases their value by a lot. Last year, guys like Olsen, Clay, and Gates (TE10 or so) had around a 72/800/5 line and scored about as much as Marvin Jones or Golden Tate (WR31ish) in a league that is 1.0 ppr across the board. But if it's 1.5 ppr for TEs, then that gives about an extra 36 points to the TEs which makes those guys worth as much as someone like Victor Cruz or TY Hilton (WR20ish).

I understand all that and I think you are 100% correct when you do the math. My point is simply that most people draft TEs way too early. There are very few TEs that have any real lasting value in the league, whether it be due to scheme changes or whatnot, most TEs are drafted based on TALENT and POTENTIAL, and generally speaking that potential is never realized. I just see the position as more unpredictable than others.

Short list of TEs who have fantasy relevance for more than 3 years. Graham, Gronk??? (injury PITA), Gates, Gonzalez, and maybe Witten and Davis. There are a couple who started to realize their potential last year in Thomas and Cameron, but who's to say they have any value at all a couple years from now?

My point was simply that guys on this board have been talking about Owens and Rudolph for a few years, and they have been a major disappointment based on what was being predicted for them. I bet if it weren't for Ebron being drafted by DET, people would still be hyping up Pettigrew... yep, he has talent as well, but he never amounted to much fantasy-wise long term.

The Pats rebuilt a team in one draft. I'm guessing they sold their soul for the picks but wow.

I'm The Patriots, I finished 2nd last year and I have a pretty solid squad, I just reloaded a bit.

I ended up trading Sammy for 2.3 where I took Hill (as I have Gio), 2015 1st (2-11 Team), 2015 1st (3-10 team) & a 2015 2nd (3-10 team)

My current roster looks like this...

QB - Stafford, RG3, Brady, Bridgewater

RB - D.Martin, Spiller, Gio, J.Hill, L.Miller, D.Freeman, J.Rodgers, A.Smith, CJ Anderson, I.Crowell, D.Johnson, L.Talliferro

WR - R.Cobb, P.Harvin, A.Jeffrey, K.Allen, M.Evans, J.Edelman, C.Latimer, B.Ellington, K.Thompkins, Q.Patton

TE - M.Bennet, C.Clay, J.Amoro

K - S.Haushka, D.Bailey

DL - S.Richardson, M.Johnson, C.Heyward, A.hicks, W.Gilberry

LB - K.Dansby, D.Butler, J.Mayo. J.Freeman, J.Beason, W.Woodyard, N.Roach, D.Harris, D.Davis

DB - B.Pollard, A.Rolle, K.Chancellor, A.Williams, L.Webb

Hopefully the two 2015 1sts will both be in the top 3/4 as I plan to go RB/RB with next years crop
