Uniforms which should never have been changed (2 Viewers)

Love those Quebec unis too but the "hidden H" in Hartford's sweater is genius.
I own both those jerseys.
Been dying to get a Nordiques jersey. As well as a Kansas City Scouts (either home or away) and my personal Holy Grail -- the always-fun teal California Golden Seals jersey, which seems impossible to find a non-knockoff version. I do have a Whalers green, Cleveland Barons white, a Neal Broten North Stars green.
I love that Calgary pays tribute to the Atlanta Flames with the assistant captain logo:

Never noticed that. Great stuff.

I've seen other versions where the captain's "C" is the Calgary logo, as well.

As an Astros fan, if they're not going to go back to the rainbow uniforms, I'd prefer they went back to these. I don't think these got enough love.

Can I buy the Barons jersey from you?

I happen to like the new ones a lot. Think its one of the better uniform changes I've seen in a long time.

I've always been a fan of the old Detroit Tigers road uniforms, where "Detroit" was simply typed out instead of in cursive. Nothing wrong with the script now, just a matter of preference.

There aren't many Astros uni's I don't like. I do like the current ones. But if I had my choice of current to the blue and gold ones, I'd choose that latter. Those uni's remind me of the good years with the Killer B's and Caminiti.

NFL

And people think I'm nuts, but my favorite all-time NFL uniform is this one (Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1970s-80s).
Not my all-time favorite uniform, but a much better look than usually given credit for. If the Bucs could've broken through in the 80s and gotten good wearing the orange, they'd be considered classics.

The "Bruce the Buccaneer" logo could've been tweaked to look a little less ... spirited. But the general logo form was solid.

Can someone explain to me why the Steelers ever decided to change the number font on their uniforms?

Meant to address this post earlier. I agree completely, and have been banging this drum since they made the change.

The second link in that post doesn't work anymore, but you get the idea.

I like them a lot too. It's rare (or at least seems that way) for a uniform change to be a big improvement, and the Astros really knocked it out of the park with that one. Great color scheme that brightens the look without trying too hard. Sharp and simple.

They gave it a nice classic look without being boring. That's hardest trick to pull off, I think.

I think the "pat patriot" should have never been changed to the flying Elvis the patriots now have.

The 70's pirates hats I always thought were sharp. Same for the tri color expos.

The new home Dallas stars home jerseys are sharp (the green ones), although that's outside the per view of this thread.

Has there been a worse uniform history than the Arizona Diamondbacks?

Maybe the Bucks, but I can't think of anyone else.

Maybe they could be forgiven for getting caught up in the purple and teal crazy of the early 90's, but the early uni's were just pathetic. Especially when they went with the vest with purple sleeves look.

Somehow, the awful, weird A survived to the new color scheme.

They thought the snake D was a good idea.

Then to top it all off, the outcome of their grand uniform overhaul makes fans have to do a double take to be sure it's not "D-Bags" written on their chest.http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rM5stmEZTIw/TeM9c33rr4I/AAAAAAAARM4/3GK4c6Zz-xU/s1600/Diamondbacks_Rockies_Baseball_219530_team.jpg

Every single uniform decision they've ever made has been utterly dreadful.

Though the "db" snake face thing would a cute idea for a couple minutes.

I like the D shaped snake. I think that is pretty cool.

But I agree with the D-Bags thing. Even when they say the name, I do a double take to see what they're talking about on TV.

Which ones? The Roberto Clemente mustard caps? Or the "We Are Family" pillbox caps (which looked weird with those no-button doubleknit jerseys).

The pillbox caps were sharp, but needed to be paired with more traditional buttoned-down-&-belted baseball unis.
The second mustard cap is kinda cool.

Also, the pillbox picture -- if you scroll down -- of Dave Parker smoking a cigarette in the dugout in full uniform in front of his teammates is special. What a great photo.

I was talking about the pillbox hats.

Good luck doing anything with the rest of your weekend/life.
If you click on a uniform (or logo), you can rate it.

For example, the Bucks' current road greens somehow have a 5.2/10 rating out of a 172 votes.

Brewers glove logo is sporting an 8.2 rating. I'd be surprised if there's a higher rated logo or uni.

The Bucks should pair forest green with orange highlights of some kind. I didn't mind the purple/green either. But, a forest green with a camo highlight or an orange or brown of some kind would give the Bucks a good color scheme.

Hawks and Wings both sit at 8.3, IMO not much better than those two.

That Red Wings logo is a real beauty.

NHL logos, as a group, are very good.

Agreed....especially the Original Six.....I like the Habs a lot and am surprised it's not higher. I am, however, very biased.

Heh. I'm not. In the background there's a guy with an odd looking foil object that Occam's razor tells me is gum, but I can't help but think contains...well, some Pirate enhancement.
