Another one in if franchise mode is back, havent bought a Madden in 2 years
Madden 10 was the best Madden in well over a decade. ETA - It's better then 2011 as well.
I bought 10. It was the first Madden I bought since 2004. It was the best gameplay since 04 but it still sucked. Franchise mode was a joke. No preseason. No progression. Signing players was a chore. Drafting was pointless. This new franchise mode looks incredible. Its like they heard everything I've been #####ing about for 10 years and finally did something about it. Next will be online franchise. Of course it will come at a time when I no longer have the time to play (newborn twins).

Just bought a new 360. How do I get my stuff from the old one on the new one? Can you run the same Xbox live account on both machines? like have saved games on both?

There is a HDD transfer cable you can buy for like $15-20. See if a friend has one.

So Chrono Trigger is available on Virtual Nintendo and soon on the PSN Network.

I've heard this is pretty much the best game ever, so I might have to take it for a spin.

Not even close. The last 2/3 Madden games on the PS2 destroy any Madden game on the new systems.
Maybe, but I can't play games on the PS2 anymore. To be fair, they are all garbage. 2010 was just the best gameplay and most balanced in forever. 2011 is back to the scoring fests. I regularly throw for 8-10 TD's a game on All Madden.

Can't wait to hear you demolish it. I never understood the love for that game.
It's highly overrated. I'm a huge RPG fan, but I don't follow the love affairs that many highly biased magazines/websites are used to publishing.

It's 16 years old and still beats out many RPGs. How can it be overrated?

Yes, but many proclaim it the best game ever made.

From the comment section:I have been playing for last 3 hours and I can say that I HATE this game... They should have spent their time making the game GOOD, instead of making long ### dialogue and 1000 sex scenes... I rate this game 6.5/10

So, i guess it could have been worse. It could be 1000 gay sex scenes.

Seriously, why must all of these games devolve into sex-romps. Give me a solid high fantasy RPG with a great story and game mechanics and you will get my money.

"Before Halo, before Modern Warfare, before Battlefield, there was Tribes."
Tribes:Ascend late 2011.Official link.

The original tribes is still the best FPS I ever played. Current FPS don't even come close. Looking forward to this!

Just starting the Crysis 2 SP campaign and it feels great so far. Just barely getting started, but audio is great, visuals in extreme graphics mode are just stunning, and the limited guns I have used to this point feel "right". Looking forward to this playthrough.

Been looking at this game. Let me know what you think.

Just beat Portal 2, fantastic game. Almost have it at 100% and can say the single player and multiplayer campaigns have been my favorite for any game this year.

I traded in Madden 11 and NFS:HP yesterday and got back Dragon Age: Origins plus money.

I love this game. I've played for like 6 hours already. Anybody else played through? Is it this good the whole time?

I'm playing Crystalis. It's kinda annoying having to switch swords all the time, but still pretty fun.

I just saved a dolphin and got a whistle.

I consider this to be probably my 2nd-favorite game of all-time, and the only RPG I could ever get into.FWIW, your sword complaint is pretty common...they actually changed it up for the Game Boy version and made the enemies vulnerable to various swords.

A bunch of people have praised DA:O to high heaven. I've strongly considered picking it up, except that those same people (and seemingly everybody else) pan DA:2, so I don't think I want to bother with the franchise. I can always come back to it later if DA:3 is good.__________Side note: I started an Insanity playthrough on Mass Effect 2 a couple of weeks ago, and it's a night and day difference from my first run through the game. Taking cover and mindlessly spamming Incinerate (or whatever) doesn't work now, and your teammates die almost instantly if you don't place them intelligently. This is way more fun and much less monotonous as my first playthrough. I have a couple more loyalty missions before I do the Reaper IFF mision, and then it's on to the suicide mission. Kudos to Biowar for this game - its really well-done.

Both MEs are completely different games (for the better) on Insanity. It also stretches out the time it takes to complete the game substantially when you can't just buzz through all the major fighting areas. The Shadow Broker add-on in particular probably took me at least twice as long to finish on insanity than it did at lower difficulty levels.

I loved DA. At the end of my first full quest (after the origin quest and initial battle) I remember thinking to myself, "This is so cool." Great blend of high fantasy with just the right amount of "darkness".

Absolutely. Insanity is basically a solo game I feel. Your teammates die within seconds of the opening of battle unless you can get them to cover very quickly. Alot more challenging (and aggravating!).

What? Who is offering Infamous for free? And if so, how can it not be worth getting if it's free!?!

Sony offers free games after bringing PlayStation Network back online

May 16, 2011 | Matthew Lynley4 CommentsinShare. Sony is offering two free games and a host of other goodies to PlayStation Network (PSN) users to compensate for bringing its online gaming network and store down for nearly a month after hackers broke in and stole sensitive information.

The two free games are available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable owners and span a number of Triple-A titles that are part of the companys greatest hits series. Those games retailed for around $60 when they first came out but have since seen a price drop to anywhere between $10 and $20 so thats not an enormous cost to Sony. The company is also offering a free months access to its premium services like PlayStation Plus and Music Unlimited.

Sony first announced that it was bringing the PSN back online late Saturday, gradually turning the servers on across the country. That ended a 24-day period where PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable owners were unable to download new content for their games and play their games online with other players. The downtime came at a critical time when two major releases Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat, both of which prominently featured online play, came out and received an enormous amount of critical acclaim.

Sony was mostly quiet throughout the downtime, except to lay indirect blame on hacktivist group Anonymous, which typically rallies a group of loosely connected hackers under moral or political banners to take down large companies. Anonymous has denied that it was involved in breaking into and bringing down the PSN. Sony had to offer a hefty welcome-back package to win back the trust of its customers and gamers around the world.

The packages will probably appease a large number of console and handheld gaming device owners. But a lot of gamers myself included already own those Triple-A titles and they are not really worth as much as they used to be worth. So Sony might be shooting itself in the foot by skimping on the games they are making available for free to returning PSN users, considering that the biggest titles (LittleBigPlanet and inFamous) either already have a sequel or have one on the way.

The PSNs downtime has given other online network operators a golden opportunity to reach out to Sonys gaming audience, and many PlayStation 3 owners have exchanged their consoles for other gaming devices that still have access to an online gaming network. The PSN has around 77 million users, and the companys online gaming portal, Station.com, has around 24 million users. That means more than 100 million users were forcefully taken offline and kept in the dark for nearly a month as to when they would be able to play their games again.

Sonys online network is a critical service that competes with Microsofts Xbox Live online gaming service as well as other online gaming services. There are also 948 games now available in the PlayStation Network store, as well as 4,000 pieces of add-on content for games. VentureBeat previously published a timeline for the PlayStation Network outage and credit card information theft scandal. You can view the full video of Sony Chief Executive Kazuo Hirai (pictured above) detailing the return of the PSN at the PlayStation blog.

Heres a full list of what PSN users are getting, all of which will be available for 30 days after the PlayStation Store (which is still down) is open again.

Sweet. LittleBigPlanet, Infamous, Dead Nation, and Super Stardust all for free is pretty sick. All definitely worth downloading for free imo.

Yep. It's not the greatest game ever made, but it's worth a buy at anything below $30 IMO. For free, it's a no-brainer. Good for two complete playthroughs (one good, one evil).

So we have to choose 2 of the 5 games? Damn, that's going to be difficult.

SlaX, I need to play me some Magicka. When we gonna get this done? Any other FBG's gonna jump in on this one?
