CAR is hosting CHI (porous OL and might be w/o Cutler) This could be a low scoring punt/FG - fest where both defenses could produce

In our league DET has been putting up good numbers. they are currently 8th overall for all Defenses in one league and 6th in another(not adjusted for the byes). I was thinking Raiders prior to this weekend but now probably not. I dropped the 49ers in 2 leagues ( for the 2nd time...lol) and am again considering picking them up..I dont think I will allow myself to do it though. Rams probably and decent option also. It really depends on your scoring. In my 2 leagues we are yds against not points against plus sacks, ints etc

I thought about Kansas City for their schedule later on, not sure about starting them against the Colts week 5.
Let me help you out here.Romeo Crennel vs. Peyton Manning

Yes, the wins were with the Patriots, but look what he was able to do in two games with the Browns. I think this years Chiefs Defense is better than anything Romeo had with Cleveland. That could be biased due to my homerism, but the numbers above don't lie.

Good data, still takes some brass ones to pull the trigger on it though.

I remember this; the Pats would beat the Colts, the Colts would beat teh Broncos, teh Broncos would beat the Pats.Old times are here again.BUT:How many of those games were in Indy?I'd feel better for KC (and I'm pulling for KC) if the game was at home. And FF-wise those were maybe all bad/mediocre games for Manning, but not all were necessarily 'start' games for the NE DST.NE also had a hellacious offense in those days; even if KC gets or takes the ball from Indy Casell had better be prepared to get some scores and hold the ball and I'm not sure he's there or will ever be.

This could be the one. The Giants d got me 25 points yesterday. The Bears line is so bad and the backup QBs are even worse. cutler won't play. He apparently didn't even know which sideline to go to. Completely shell-shocked.I think Carolina is without a doubt the top candidate. I have never seen a line play as poorly as Chicago's did last night.

Hanie or Todd Collins at QB too. I'm not sure which is more favorable from a FF DST standpoint, it might be Collins.

I'm not sure how widely available they are, but I picked up the Bears defense for this past week and am going to stick with them against Carolina.

I don't see Cassel having much to do with it. I think we're going to run, run, run and eat as much time off the clock as possible. We have the running game to do it. In my opinion that's our only chance to win and we have the backs to get it done.

Not a ton of sacks there (though the OL of Colts has a lot to do with that). Does Romeo blitz much?

Any thoughts on Indy in the Dome this week versus KC.. or th Rams Lions matchup........ :bs:
im not sure what to think of indy this week, they have been weak against the run and KC is gonna try and run all game. Im intrigued by the detroit/STL game. i'd probably be more inclined to go with DET here since they are at home, if it were in STL, i'd probably think they are the better play. I think detroit has the better D-line going against a bad o-line and more of a playmaking secondary(with very little coverage ability, lol) and the better offense to go along with it.

great post. whered u pull the stats?

This has to be the week that the Niners bring it.

Especially at home, needing a win and dominant performance after last week's gaffe, with an indecisive Kolb under center...

At least that's what I keep telling myself...

With the Steelers having a Bye this week, I was rolling with ATL vs CLE, but then I switched to CAR vs CHI.

DAL, SF and CIN are still available. Hoping it's a good move.. *fingers crossed*

As far as WW defenses go...I like Detroit at home against the Rams. Watch out for the points against though.

"Chalk another one up" for Car vs Chi!!! I have been getting some unexpectedly nice production from Tenn's D but with Dallas coming off a bye, I decided to run with Car as soon as the news of Cutler hit the wires....

NO

Cowboys vs Titans?
This is the one I'm interested in as well. I drafted the Titans, and they've put up four solid outings (t/o, tds, bonuses for low yards/points, no penalties for high yards/points). But Dallas got dropped, and I picked them up to start verses VY in Dallas.I'm torn as to which is the better D long term, but thinking Dallas this week is a good start.

I have ATL @ Cle... but thinking of dropping them for either:

Car vs Chi <- Chicago only allowed 1 sack in the 2nd half...

SF vs Phi <-- SF def has been disappointing in 3 of the 4 games... only one good game so far
