Her story started to unravel.  I think she was too under the influence to fully remember what happened.  The fact the staffers all believe Brent lies is radio gold.

I'm starting to rethink my position on Brent.  She could be being spiteful and lying but he has so much more reason to cover it up if he didn't close the deal. He really gave very few details. Also, unless they are doing it to rile him up, the rest of the staff know him more and have more knowledge of the situation, that their opinion is probably more accurate.

cliff notes for those of us who didn't hear it?  Did Brent hook up in LA with some chick?  Did his wife hook up with some guy in NY?

 
The idea that Brent thought he had any chance of closing a 22 year old porn star was fairly hilarious. 

His wife is better looking than he is(not a high bar) but a total slampig. Don't get the appeal of her at all.

He claims to have hooked up with 2 of the 3 women he planned to meet. One called in to deny she slept with him but he claims she's lying.

His wife hooked up with a cop and a male porn star at different times and gave graphic details. No one is denying that happened.

He was slurring his words talking to the “dates” so he very well could have hooked up with his pillow as Howard suggested. 

 
Ugh.

Psych said he's suffering from stage 4 Leiomyosarcoma which is a rare form of cancer that affects muscle. Howard said the doctor says he has a 4 pound tumor. Psych said that it's around his liver and other things down in his pelvic area. He said he had a colonoscopy and he got a CAT Scan that showed this tumor. He said he was asked to get a liver biopsy and he got that and they showed that it started under the pelvis and it's wrapped around the liver and kidneys. He said there's no possibility of doing surgery on it. He said half the organs would be gone.

Howard said Psych has been getting Chemo and they gave him 6 months to live. Psych said in July they said 15 months to 5 years. He said he refused Chemo 3 times. He said then it went down to 6 months to 3 years. He said they told him that he's got 6 months now.

I’m not buying Brent’s story.  There’s too much ego wrapped up in needing that to have it happen, especially knowing the wife would for sure close the deal.

Yeah, I'm no fan but she was good in that interview. At least once the coughing fits stopped.

One thing I really found interesting is when she talked about how, when she would greet people, they used to ask her questions or have honest discussions but now all people want is a selfie. Gotta be annoying to deal with that all day.

Im not a fan of Hillary but I thought it was the most real/genuine interview I've seen with her.......Definitely think Howard was right....he's not as funny as he used to be but when he has someone good to interview he usually is on his game....still miss Artie/JAckie tho

 
Been listening to archived old shows at work.  Currently going through 2003.  Funny how so much of the show back then hasn't aged well or how his opinion on things have completely changed.  He didn't hate Leno.  He played tape of Rosie O'Donnell saying she wouldn't be caught dead going on the show.  I'm at the point now where the Iraq war started and he was so pro-war/pro-Bush and he's said a number of times how they were responsible for 9/11.  Yikes.  Also, non-heroin Artie.

He's admitted that his opinions on all of those things changed.  and that he was wrong at least about Rosie and the war.

Rumor I read (reddit) was he may no longer be with the show. Apparently he has removed his producer role at the show from his Twitter bio

The first time they did that was the first time I ever had to change the channel. This time, I just fast-forwarded past it. Funny at first but just stomach turning after a while.

It was real quick this morning, l was on the edge of fast forwarding while laughing and vomiting 

 
End of an era as I cancelled my Sirius this morning. I've listened to Howard for close to 40 years but really tailed off over the past year. For me, the virtual shows just weren't cutting it. I was actually hoping he didn't renew his contract the last time.

I fell behind like a month or two last year and even with his summer off in 2021, I never caught up. I found myself fast-forwarding through so much of the episodes on the app that it just made me realize I wasn't into it anymore. The in studio antics were sorely missed. Too much covid, too much politics, the same celebrity interviews. 

I still love Howard for all the years of entertainment he provided over so many years. It's weird to not know what's going on in the Stern Show world. Maybe I'll check his website to get some recaps since it's tough to go cold turkey.

He packed it in a while back.  It's like he barely tries anymore.  I catch his new stuff here and there but for the most part I'm listening to Howard 101 throwback clips.

They aren’t in studio now? What are Sal and Richard doing if they aren’t there?

I haven’t listened in 7 or 8 years. Sometimes I think oh it’d be good to start back up again but not committing that much time to listening.
