solid QBsI like the RBs

WRs have some questions, Harrison is the X factor, you need to Gage/Robinson/Thomas to win starting jobs...all are in contention.

Great Tes

PK/D you took care of business

I'll say slightly above average...Harrison is X factor.

:goodposting: I will do the same BTW
I'll bite again.Anyone is welcome to give an honest critique of my team. I'm curious to see if anyone other than sniffer thinks it might be top five.
he'll blast ya cause he dont like rivers and you have no backup (per se). I agree to a point, but he'll put up enough that you'll survive which is the pointthe rest of your squad I really like.

My thoughts on each an every team while I wait for a 2pm meeting on the day after a holiday: in BOLD

Very Solid RB top 2, best in the league, Cutler I like Edwards I do not. WR is very weak after Marshall. TE is solid.

Any team with LT will last for awhile and his early season schedule is CAKE.

This team gets bounced when Cutler/Marshall has a down week or is on bye.
I agree for the most part, but we all have a weak spot, and some risk somewhere. The question is how much risk...who has taken the RIGHT gamble. My gambles are:1. Edwards wins the starting WR job. Seems a fairly safe one right now.

2. Two or three of the WR's I took later in the draft outperform the common expectations of them. Crayton is the #2 in a high powered offense. Curry and Wilford have never had huge years, but they are a #1 and a #2. Washington is a talented #3 who could be big with an injury ahead of him, Darling is a #2 on a weak team...but a #2 in the last round? You can call all of these guys risky individually, but ALL will be involved with their teams (which can't be said of all the rookies many gambled on), so as a group they are stronger then you're giving them credit for.

Oddly enough...I'm likeing the back half of these drafts more then the front half this year. Just where the tiers are breaking I guess....and I don't mind hearing criticism from anybody.

QBs suckRBs are strong, but have had recent health issues

WRs are decent, but shallow

TEs are below average

PK/D - acceptable

I'll say average squad...like most teams you'll win or lose at the WR position.

knew it.his top 4 WR are stronger than most and if branch is healthy or say misses just the first 3-5 games. This team is strong.

SOunds like Ronnie B is gonna be healthy LJ/RB is a very good 1-2 punch.

If you cant grab a top teir TE. I think a nice combo like this is the way to go. Miller/Dlee can get decent points between the two

4.16 Renesauz - Jay Cutler, Den, QB10 8

Below average QBsStrong RBs

Below average WRs

Solid TEs

I'll say below average...not much upside outside of L.T. and I think you'll really struggle at WR.

Alrighty then. I've been waiting for that guy Fro to grade my team, I thought that is what he indicated he would do if asked to, and I did. Anyway, I've got a little free time and decided I'd put my two cents in about each team. I'll just go down the list and throw them up as I finish them. While I like to consider myself an expert, I am probably far from it, so please take my comments with a grain of salt or two.

4.16 Renesauz - Jay Cutler, Den, QB10 8

8.16 Renesauz - Trent Edwards, Buf, QB23 6
Cutler is young and looks like he has all the skills to be a top notch QB in the NFL. I like him at QB10. He should post decent numbers most weeks and is certainly a serviceable QB in this format. Edwards is a good bet to cover week 8 just fine.Grade: B

1.01 Renesauz - LaDainian Tomlinson, SD, RB1 9

3.01 Renesauz - Jamal Lewis, Cle, RB17 5

10.16 Renesauz - Cedric Benson, Chi, RB45 8

13.01 Renesauz - Sammy Morris, NE, RB54 4
LT – good to go, pretty much a no-brainer at 1.01. Grabbing Lewis at the top of round 3 was a steal. I believe his production in ’08 will equal his ’07 output. Waiting until round 10 for another RB is going to sting. I just do not envision Benson still being the starter by week 5, the first time he will be needed to produce. Morris is not going to be much help, maybe very little. I feel this is probably the worst position on this squad, due to lack of depth.Grade: C-

2.16 Renesauz - Brandon Marshall, Den, WR12 8

6.16 Renesauz - Patrick Crayton, Dal, WR39 10

7.01 Renesauz - Ronald Curry, Oak, WR40 5

11.01 Renesauz - Earnest Wilford, Mia, WR62 4

15.01 Renesauz - Nate Washington, Pit, WR81 6

18.16 Renesauz - Devard Darling, KC, WR98 6
Marshall definitely seems a bit immature, but if he can get it together and consistently play on the same page as Cutler, you have a great hook-up here. I’m Ok with Crayton and Curry. Crayton looks to be the #2 in Dallas and Curry could end up as the #1 in Oakland (Walker is way out of shape and looking like a waste of Al Davis’ money, if you ask me.) Wilford probably would have lasted until the end of round 12 for you, but I understand why you took him where you did. He’s the WR1 in Miami, for whatever that is worth. Washington and Darling are there if you need them. Meh.Grade: B-

5.01 Renesauz - Dallas Clark, Ind, TE7 4

9.01 Renesauz - L.J. Smith, Phi, TE18 7
I love Clark to fall just short of last years numbers or equal them. Manning loves to look for him in the red zone. While I am also an Eagles fan I just do not have faith in Smith to stay healthy or put up decent numbers (due to the fact that McNabb just spreads the ball around too much.) Decent back-up to Clark though and great value at TE18.Grade: B+

12.16 Renesauz - Philadelphia Eagles, DST14 7

17.01 Renesauz - Carolina Panthers, DST23 9
Eagles D will be vastly improved over last year. They were a steal at D14. I think you will get great production out of them all year long. Panthers?…….well at least you’ve got a bye week fill-in.Grade: B+

14.16 Renesauz - Phil Dawson, Cle, PK10 5

16.16 Renesauz - Shaun Suisham, Was, PK26 10
Two K’s, no bye week issues. Good job.Grade: B-

This team should make some noise and stick around for a while. Possible top 5 or top 3 team.

Overall Grade: B

3.02 Shadowfax - Tony Romo, Dal, QB3 10

16.15 Shadowfax - Josh McCown, Mia, QB31 4

18.15 Shadowfax - John Beck, Mia, QB34 4
While I am a Cowgirls hater, it cannot be denied that Romo had a fantastic year last year and figures to have another in ’08. Whoever is starting for Miami in week 10 will hopefully do something for you. Romo’s late bye really helps this squad.Grade: B

1.02 Shadowfax - Adrian Peterson, Min, RB2 8

5.02 Shadowfax - Jonathan Stewart, Car, RB25 9

7.02 Shadowfax - Fred Taylor, Jac, RB33 7
RB’s will be the downfall of this team. Peterson will be gold. Taylor going so late is a steal. He will really be your RB2 for most of the year. Stewart as the only depth is just about suicide.Grade: D

2.15 Shadowfax - Torry Holt, SL, WR11 5

6.15 Shadowfax - Bobby Engram, Sea, WR38 4

8.15 Shadowfax - Tedd Ginn, Mia, WR49 4

9.02 Shadowfax - D.J. Hackett, Car, WR50 9

12.15 Shadowfax - Mark Bradley, Chi, WR74 8

13.02 Shadowfax - Demetrius Williams, Bal, WR75 10
Holt should rebound from last year with a healthy Bulger and I like Engram as your WR2. Ginn could be a solid WR3, but Miami’s QB’s don’t instill much confidence in this theory. Hackett, Bradley and Williams bring decent depth to the position.Grade: C+

4.15 Shadowfax - Todd Heap, Bal, TE6 10

17.02 Shadowfax - Martrez Milner, Atl, TE29 7
I am a fan of Heap in this format. He consistently puts up decent numbers. Never heard of Milner before you picked him.Grade: C+

10.15 Shadowfax - Bears, Chi, D6 8

11.02 Shadowfax - New England Patriots, DST7 4
Two stud D’s.Grade: A+

14.15 Shadowfax - Mason Crosby, GB, PK9 8

15.02 Shadowfax - Rob Bironas, Ten, PK11 6
Two K’s, no bye week issues.Grade: B+

I think this is a team that may not make it too far.

Overall Grade: C

6.05 Ruffrody05 - Phillip Rivers, SD, QB15 9

13.12 Ruffrody05 - Matt Ryan, Atl, QB30 7

QB's are shaky. Hopefully Rivers will come back strong after a Torn ACL in December. Maybe. Would be a better #2 QB. And a rookie QB in a power running offense. Not good. Overall, not the kind of QB duo I like in these things.

1.12 Ruffrody05 - Larry Johnson, KC, RB10 6

2.05 Ruffrody05 - Ronnie Brown, Mia, RB15 4

11.12 Ruffrody05 - Leon Washington, NYJ, RB47 5

12.05 Ruffrody05 - Ray Rice, Bal, RB49 10

Decent RBs for a survivor. LJ at 10 is about where I have him but still the guy is trending downward. RB is coming off a torn acl. All reports have him ahead of schedule but torn acl guys usually click in year two post injury. But hey, with the advances in medical techniques anything is possible I guess. I like RB and am routing for him but there is some serios risk here. Also Ricky is getting the love these days.

3.12 Ruffrody05 - Roy Williams, Det, WR18 4

4.05 Ruffrody05 - Greg Jennings, GB, WR21 8

5.12 Ruffrody05 - Kevin Curtis, Phi, WR29 7

9.12 Ruffrody05 - Reggie Williams, Jac, WR55 7

10.05 Ruffrody05- Deion Branch, Sea, WR58 4

18.05 Ruffrody05 - Limas Sweed, Pit, WR96 6

Better than average group of survivor wr's. This is the strength of your team. You have 3 rock solid guys. Though I think Greg Gennings is in for a down year, he should be fine in a best ball format. And 2 guys that can help out during byes and down weeks with Reggie and Limas. Branch was a wasted pick. You team likely won't be around by the time he comes off PUP, if he even does. Reports are he's not doing well.

7.12 Ruffrody05 - Heath Miller, Pit, TE12 6

8.05 Ruffrody05 - Donald Lee, GB, TE15 8

Decent TE's but none are high reception guys which is what you want in these survivor leagues.

14.05 Ruffrody05 - Indianapolis Colts, DST16 4

15.12 Ruffrody05 - Arizona Cardinals, DST20 7

Good here.

16.05 Ruffrody05 - Lawrence Tynes, NYG, PK21 4

17.12 Ruffrody05 - Matt Prater, Den, PK29 8

Good here.

Overall. Not the type of team I like in a survivor. I like to start out with a stud RB and WR, the focus on Stude TE and QB's. Then fill in the blanks with WR's and RB's. You missed out on consistant TE and QB play which is what I think is essential to building a championship team. You built a team that may survive for a while but there is little upside to go all the way. I see a week 4-6 bow out. Grade C.

Now that Benson is gone, I'll take my share of abuse.

ETA: Wow, with Benson gone, Javon's Vegas trip (pun intended) and CJ #85 coming up lame or not - increasing possibly Utecht's role, I am looking better by the day.

Maybe the night I spent at a Holiday Inn during the draft

For some reason I think JJ puts up decent RB2 numbers is Sea, throw in alot of catches by johnson and this RB core is very solid. Got a feeling that Marv is done and when McNabb gets injured Fro is out.

Top 5:

RuffRody

Rzr77

Lhucks

Shadowfax

Duckboy
Weak analysis. To put it all on McNabb's injury is ludicris.
sorry, I like your RB. but McNabb has a track record that he gets hurt often, very risky QB IMO. no real backup. Holmes is inconsistent on a run first team, he's not a solid WR1 in this format. Marv is about done. Bruce I like alittle cause he's ahead of th curve in SF but the rest of those WR's are meh. Witten is an obvious stud.
I'm loving this team now.
