In FFPC/FPC scoring... the top TE's FP's are equal to WR1's and RB1/2's. From Last year:1. Rodgers, Aaron GBP QB 380.35Master Gators said:I have not either... I expect the top two get taken second half of round 2; next 3-4 will go rd 3. The top scoring TEs FPs are about the same as a WR4-5 and RB6.
I don't think I like the fact that Dallas Clark outscored every WR last year.In FFPC/FPC scoring... the top TE's FP's are equal to WR1's and RB1/2's. From Last year:1. That difference in TE scoring from one year to the next is ASTOUNDING! Does the trend continue in 2010, revert back to 2008 stats or settle somewhere down the middle?
wow that is quite a big difference. So do you feel as if the top 6 or so TE's will most likely be drafted by the end of the 4th round? That difference in TE scoring from one year to the next is ASTOUNDING! Does the trend continue in 2010, revert back to 2008 stats or settle somewhere down the middle?
yea thank you for the infoHeadbanger said:I went 11th and took Gates, Clark went before me in round 1. I had to reach some for a top TE as 5 RB, 1 QB, 1 TE and 3 WR were already gone so not much value in those positions so went with Gates. Those toward front of round 3 got better TE value but you never know as each draft is different.
must have been top tier rb/wr talent still available in the 3 and 4th rounds.Welcome for the info guys, I would want to know also.

Yea that was me sorry about that just so long between picks usually had picks already to go.Guess I should have slowed down a little not real excited about my team.Over at the FFPC boards I have already gotten some flack for my team.Oh well never claimed to be an expert anyway gives me an excuse to draft another team.So Rusty, YOU'RE the one that went 12th going SUPER fast!!! That threw me off the entire draft. I walked away to piss and when I returned I missed my pick. Glad the commish was on top of things and let me get the player I wanted.
well you are probably not using the correct baselines - BUT just go to FBG PC - Draft Dissected (free articles - link below) - you NEED to look at the scoring on this system from last yearhttp://footballguys.com/10pvh_fpcdraft.phpI dont get the TE hype. Plugging the 1.5 ppr into DD shows Gates as the first TE at around the 50th ranked player.
It depends on how you project the stats for the top TEs. If you use last year's stats, Dallas Clark shows up at #15 for me. If using Dodds' projections (which I feel is more likely at least for someone like Clark), then he is more like #40.well you are probably not using the correct baselines - BUT just go to FBG PC - Draft Dissected (free articles - link below) - you NEED to look at the scoring on this system from last yearhttp://footballguys.com/10pvh_fpcdraft.phpI dont get the TE hype. having a TE in your flex, one that pans out would be so huge,I think this league with the dual flex spots could very easily be won and lost at the two flex positions.Any opinions?heropretend said:a te who goes for 6-80 = 17 pts, a wr needs 6-110 to match.i think one benefit of drafting tes early is that you don't require dominant games from a te to get consistently good numbers. most tes have low ceilings but their baselines seem factored into projections and their downside seems easier to predict...at least to my eye since i'm not doing historical research. thus i think drafting tes early is a conservative approach and probably the best way to go if you feel fairly confident that you can correctly grab sleepers at either wr or rb.
That is just sillyDoing one now, Finley went 1.10!! Gates was next TE at 2.9
That's 9 picks too late! That is just sillyDoing one now, Finley went 1.10!! Gates was next TE at 2.9
LOOK back through this thread - there are several links to drafts for this format from real drafts last season that should answer your questionBumping this.In a league that has 1.5 PPR for TE's, where you have to start one and can start one in the flex, how early are the elite guys going in start-ups?
