Absolutely. Saturday night's game with Atlanta vs Detroit will be rough...can I just hope for a 0-0 tie with Calvin and Julio to score no points?

Guessing it is going to be a quiet MNF game in terms of impact. Of the current top 10, looks like we have the following: Locker -31.4 x4Bironas -7 x1 and -11 x4Powell -17.8 x1Jets -17 x3My rooting for Hernandez seemed to work, so go go Bironas!

I have moved up to #26 with 404.5 points. While I cannot believe that I am this close to the prize, the 40 point deficit that I have to the few teams seems very insurmountable.

Looking closer, I do see that only 2 teams ahead of me also have Matt Stafford (Almost everyone seems to have Ryan). And it is not completely out of the question that Stafford could wake up with a 4 or 5 TD game and Turner vulture the Falcons TDs in a shoot-out.

I believe I am the only team high that still has Antonio Gates (what a mistake I made there), but there was a time, back in his prime, when he could really lay it down. Maybe he can push the Sun back up into the sky on Sunday, and dig back into the past for a 3 TD day. (I do realize the absurdity of my hope).

This contest has been a ton of fun, thanks in large part to many of you who have been active and helpful in doing such great analysis. Thank You. And congrats to whoever ends up winning this thing.

 
Max theoretical score would be approx. 522 thru 2 wks which would cost approx. $169 sal for 10 players.

I got booted the final cut week 13 (missing by about 13 pts).

I would be at 414.

The biggest must haves so far look like

SEA D - 18 pts clear of everyone else

Hernandez - 20 pts clear of all TE except Pitta

ADP - 16 pts clear of all RB except Lynch.

Lynch - 8+ clear of all remaining RB

Lloyd has let a lot of fantasy teams down this year but leads all WR thru 2 wks.

Not a must have be good value under $20.

Crab and Decker are other sub $20 WR that are top 6 thru 2 wks (44-51 pts)

Good luck to everyone still in the hunt.

This is maybe the best part, the highest scoring team for weeks 14-15 was actually eliminated in week 2. I'm not even judgmental, that is impressive.

In a word, anxious. Waiting for the weekend to come and go. At this point trying to manage expectations and would probably be happy with a top 5 showing. Lower than that and it will probably be a bit disappointing with an almost 18 point lead over 6th. I've done well on the FBG Players Champ so far this year with 2 teams, so that 3 pack for 2nd and 3rd place sounds really nice.While I thought I had a good team, never thought I would be in this position. I think your above analysis shows what this contest is all about, it is a 2 stage game and you need to survive the first 13 weeks and then hope you have some players blowup.ETA: The decision to have both Graham and Hernandez seemed a bit excessive at the time but has worked out wonderfully both for the finals and week 6. Graham was always going to be there, the question was whether to add a second high priced guy or not.

comparing my team to the top two:

cdubz- the ryan/jones combo is important to you. Spiller/Graham/Marshall seem to be the other players that can hurt me. jones is obviously a wild card.

high class has a unique set of RBs amongst the top 3 (rice, peterson, jackson)

both cdubz and high class have ryan/luck and marshall.

cdubz & I have lynch & calvin johnson

high class and I have decker

we each have hernandez and blackmon.

my eli/luck/shaub combo needs to have eli or shaub do very well to differentiate me. i could also use reggie wayne, garcon or amendola to do well.

You definitely have the uniqueness to take this down as evidenced by week 14. David Wilson + Sproles will obviously help you out if they go off.Will be interesting to see how this goes down, my RBs are definitely the weakest position group for me and might need Dwyer or McCluster to put up a decent day if Lynch is subdued by the SF run defense. Just hoping for a shootout Saturday night.Best of luck to you and everyone else still in the hunt.
 
Hoping for Cam to go crazy this week as it seems most dont have him. Wonder if at the bottom of top 10 if there is a real shot to get up to big money?

 
Boy am I anxious for tonight...aside from Matt Ryan (who we and everyone and their mother and brother has), everyone who plays tonight could hurt us badly, especially Calvin Johnson. I just hope that the hole isn't too big for us to climb out of on Sunday!

 
I don't have any Atlanta players. Very wary of today. Hope the lions try to jam in the record for Calvin in front of the home fans

I am going to score about 180 giving me 584 or so in the Finals. It was not a bad finish but not enough to finish Top 10. Congrats to the Winners. And thanks to all of you who made this contest Thread great!

 
Congrats to the winners, whoever they end up after tonight's game! It was fun getting to the finals, even if I didn't have great results once in.

 
Really thought I had a better team this year than last but I didn't place as high oh well was a lot of fun and by far is my favorite contest going.Hope everyone has a merry Christmas and a great New Year.

 
*sigh* my ghost team with another good week. Not so good that I'd win the whole thing but good enough that it would've been a respectable placement.

I think the 25 point lead should probably hold up for me :D , I came up with about the same scores where I was tracking the top 7 going into the week.Many thanks to kardplayer for running live cutlines and standings throughout the year. Props to OrganizedChaos for building the live scoring tool, which helped fuel our addiction for having updates.I also want to thank all the regular posters to this thread for helping advance the collective knowledge on contest strategies. I am sure I am missing some people, but Iggy, BassNBrew, QuizGuy, and Modog are 4 that come to mind immediately. And of course, FBG deserves major props for offering such an awesome contest as part of their subscription. :thanks:

Congratulations Cdubz! I bet you were sipping champagne 72 Dolphins style after the 4 PM games yesterday. No one was going to beat you.I wish my team could have given you more of a challenge, but the Calvin Johnson/Marshawn Lynch combo was too much to overcome. I'm still thrilled with 4th place though...way more than I ever expected before the season started.

I got booted on wk13 final cut but would have finished #5 OA with 643 pts so I think my team and strategy was 'close' this year.
