Not exactly what I had in mind.
But...Rodgers should keep me in the game for quite a while and by the time I need him Manziel will be playing.
The RBs are solid.
The WRs have big upside.
The TE's have been talked to death.

9.16 - Hakeem Nicks WR, Indianapolis Colts

On Nicks, I know a lot of people are down on him, but as WR 52? Value, say all the negatives you want. As the 52nd WR you cant go wrong with the upside he has with Luck throwing to him.

I really debated Nicks/Amendola at 9.04, so I think he's a great value where you got him.

QB: Phillip Rivers(5), Big Ben(6).

PRetty happy with these 2 overall as a great combo to have. I think if you dont get a stud, you have to have 2 guys you can depend on and waiting can be fine. This is one of the better late combos

RB: Marshawn Lynch(1), Alfred Morris(2), Carlos Hyde(8)

Lynch should be good for another strong season. Morris will get the carries more than likely in Washington. I expect him to benefit the most from Desean. Hyde looks like the top rookie and here is hoping he lands in Tennessee. I usually punt this position but I went out early last year in most SL's and try something new

WR: Keenan Allen(3), Micheal Crabtree(4), James Jones(9)

I like my top combo for waiting on them. Almost went AJ Green in the 1st but RB is so weak IMO compared to WR. This will have some shotgun to it the rest of the way for sure. I think Jones does fairly well in Oakland and will be the top dog there. Garbage points baby

TE: Coby Fleener(7), Jermicheal Finley(10)

Okay this is boom or bust right now. I really like Fleener over Allen in the end. Hopefully he continues to progress. Finley is a huge wildcard that if he signed in GB right now, probably been in the first 4 rounds of this draft. In Seattle, he is in the 1st 5 rounds. Could be huge pick. Will probably have to grab another here though.

Glad someone else took either of these guys. Allows guys I prefer to drop. I rather the top dog in Oakland than the 5th option in Indy or the 8th option in NE even if they are more potent O's.

I guess I may have to dig a little deeper on Finley. Quite honestly that injury scared the #### out of me from a fantasy perspective to the point of pretty much placing him in the do not draft zone. I guess he is drawing some interest, so maybe he does play and has some value. I guess my thinking is that in a redraft where you can add/drop it might seem a little safer. In this draft and done format just not sure I have the stones to pull the trigger. Neck stuff just seems real easy to jack up again for some reason, but I'm no doctor----holiday inn guy.

Excellent QB combo and not much more expensive than my more meh Tannehill/Palmer combo. well done.

RBs should be good, but lacks PPR punch. Also I don't know about taking that chance on Hyde when you spent two early picks on RB and needed more help elsewhere.

WRs are ok, but lacking big play punch and Crabtree/Allen both play in offenses that prefer to tilt run-heavy

TE is a problem, and I'm not sure you have the power at QB/RB/WR to make up for it if you don't get much out of Fleener/Finley. I do like the upside Finley presents and it was the right pick for your team, but he is probably still weeks/months away from being cleared and may end up in a bad situation with no guarantees of production.

4.08 Valence - Andrew Luck QB4 IND

8.08 Valence - EJ Manuel QB24 BUF

I guess I'm higher than most on Luck this year. Maybe I'm missing something, but I see a guy that has tons of weapons and plays on the 3rd best team in the AFC. He also provides help with his rushing ability and seems like a lock for at least 3 rushing TDs a year. Manuel provides some decent upside, but really all I need from him is be healthy and on the field during Luck's bye.

2.08 Valence - Demarco Murray RB12 DAL

9.09 Valence - Mark Ingram RB41 NOS

10.08 Valence - Khiry Robinson RB43 NOS

After the Charles/McCoy/AP/Forte tier I feel Murray is as good a bet as any to finish top 5. He's also involved in the passing game catching 53 balls last year. If Murray continues to be available in the mid-late 2nd I might not take a RB in the 1st round at all this season. I probably waited a little too long to start my RB2BC. Bloom took the guy I wanted - Fred Jackson. I was hoping to get him along with the New Orleans guys, alas... I believe all the news about the Sean Payton wanting to run the ball more this season. Both Ingram and Robinson played really well late last season and into the playoffs. Pierre Thomas will catch all the passes but I'm betting 80% of the rushing touchdowns go to one of these two.

1.09 Valence - Demaryius Thomas WR3 DEN

5.09 Valence - Michael Floyd WR30 ARI

7.09 Valence - Rueben Randle WR36 NYG

DT is DT and should easily finish in the top 5 again this season.I guess my WR2 and WR3 are a bit risky but I see big things from both of them in 2014. I see both hitting the 65-75 catch 1000 yard 6-8 TD marks which makes them solid compliments to DT. There's some more work to do here but I like the combination of dependable production and through the roof upside this trio represents.

3.09 Valence - Vernon Davis TE6 SF

6.08 Valence - Tyler Eifert TE12 CIN

I doubled up on TE fairly early. I thought VD was fantastic value at TE6 but know that he likes to occasionally disappear from the box scores. I also know Eifert was a bit of a reach but I really didn't feel like he would be around at 7.09. I also considered Charles Clay here and had I known he would be there at 7.09 I probably would have waited and taken Sproles at 6.08 instead. Regardless, I really like this pair and am probably done at the position.

My debate was Nicks, Jones or Wheaton. Knew FS was going Nicks if I passed on him. I'm interested in why Jones fell so far relative to the WSLs? I know there's no Jay Gruden but they still are likely to throw quite a bit this year and he should be a great best ball play.

7.03 Joe Flacco QB Bal

8.14 Matt Schaub QB Oak

Pretty much got on the tail end of the QB run. Joe Flacco's job is safe, so no risk other than injury there. Hopefully with Oak trading for Matt Schaub he can turn it around and keep the job out there as well. (wasn't much left to choose from at the time I took him)

1.03 Adrian Peterson RB Min

6.14 Knowshon Moreno RB Mia

9.03 David Wilson RB NYG

Peterson at 3 was a no brainer. I am hoping for a rebound year with new offense and possibly more receptions, but no matter what a very safe pick. Hopefully Moreno and Wilson (if he can play) can provide enough to platoon at RB2.

2.14 Antonio Brown WR Pit

4.14 Julian Edelman WR NE

5.03 TY Hilton WR IND

10.14 Robert Woods WR Buf

WR is looking fairly deep this year especially in the middle tiers. Pretty much hit or miss and hopefully I can put together a group that we can get a couple of guys to stand out every week.

3.03 Kyle Rudolph

This could be the pick that makes or breaks this team. I like Rudolph's upside a lot and think this will be the year he steps up to the next level. Unfortunately I don't have anyone paired with him at this time and the pickings in the TE group are pretty slim so it is going to be hard to do.

8.16 Delanie Walker TE23 TEN

In rounds 10/11 I decided to get me two more WR's. Since I got started on my WR core late I thought it best to shore it up some more to give it more options. I ended up drafting Steve Smith and Brian Hartline. Last season Smith finished about WR36 and I don't see him doing much worse then that this season as long as he stays healthy. Matter of fact he is in a slightly better passing offense so even though I don't expect a huge uptick I think Smith might receive a small uptick or at the very least finish at around WR35 which isn't too bad considering I got him at WR59. Brian Hartline finished around WR25 last year. Hartline just quietly goes about his business on the field. The Dolphins may try to run a bit more with Moreno in the backfield but even with a small downtick in production from Hartline should keep him in the top 35 for WR's. I like that considering I just got him at WR60. I expect both to get me a few scoring weeks during the season.

Hartline/Smith at WRs 59&60 at the turn seemed like incredible value

If I didn't already have Wallace and Tannehill, I would have jumped on Hartline at 10.15 easily the best value left at WR

I waited long enough to select my #3 and #4 RB's so at the 12/13 turn I thought I better get them because the RB pickins are getting slim. I wasn't enamored with any of the veteran RB's so I went with a couple of rookie RB's in Sims and Williams. Sims catches the ball well out of the backfield so I'm hoping that he latches on somewhere and at the very least becomes a 3rd down RB this season. Williams is a big back that can break a lot of tackles. If Williams can see some goal line carries and score some TD's he can contribute for my team. I'm higher on Sims and Williams then most so I think between the two I can get a good quality RB three.

I suppose, but you can say the same for most teams. Chances are I'll be okay or just need my backups to come through for me.

6.13 Colin Kaepernick

7.04 Alex Smith

Safe, but not going to help win immunity often. I would have preferred Bradford at QB2, but my sense is that teams in the same division are more likely to share bye weeks.

2.13 Reggie Bush

8.13 Chris Ivory

10.13 Danny Woodhead

11.04 Bishop Sankey

13.04 Isaiah Crowell

Bush and Woodhead for a ppr baseline. Ivory for a few TDs. Sankey and Crowell because I'm swinging for doubles at this stage.

3.04 Percy Harvin

4.13 Roddy White

5.04 Kendall Wright

9.04 Danny Amendola

12.13 Brandon LaFell

Percy was risky, but Roddy is a safe bet for top 20 numbers and a value this late. Should've gone Floyd over Wright based on upside, but if he can score 5 TDs this year I'll be happy with the pick. Added Amendola/LaFell, as I like grabbing a same-team combo for a late WR.

1.04 Jimmy Graham

Don't hold out, please.

I'd considered Sims for awhile myself and would certainly have pulled the trigger except I think my RB depth might be one of the best things about my team. When the NFL draft is over my odds on bet for best rookie back will be the one the Titans spend a second or third round pick to acquire. In the absence of knowing who that is I feel like Sims is the most NFL ready back in the draft right now so without knowing landing spots he's my bet to be the best rookie RB.

Look. I'm sorry for jumping on jeaton like that.

Thing is, after participating in many things like this, I've seen it happen so often that a guy is on the board for hours, then in the specific thread for a long time when it's actually their turn, and then they disappear without making a pick.

It's just...weird.

Anyway. Sorry for the dustup.

Ridiculously nice crop of WRs there. Awesome value... only weak spot is the RB position after McCoy. Stacy could repeat and fill that #2 hole, but the others might be a big risk and provide little depth for much of the season. Otherwise, this is a very solid team.

Thanks for the writeup Sinrman. I always enjoy what others have to say about my team. I agree with everything you said. I'm really happy with my WR core thus far. Between the five WR's I currently have I should get 3 good scores each week and I didn't have to spend a lot of high draft picks to get them.

McCoy should be his usual stud self. I think Stacy will have a good year and be a solid #2. After that though I agree my RB core is really thin. I need one of my rookie RB's too hit and get some playing time which is never guaranteed. I wasn't enamored with any of the veteran RB's so I thought I would roll the dice and hope that I hit YATZEE with one of the rookies.

I like Andy, but patience is a virtue he doesn't have. I thank him for the attention he gives to the threads, but its a Holiday weekend and and spring break for some, time to give people some slack until Monday.

Monday is Patriots Day there liverlips

It's all good. In my experience a lot of things look weird to outsiders but with context they actually make a lot of sense. Anyways, Happy Easter.

QB: Phillip Rivers(5), Big Ben(6).

PRetty happy with these 2 overall as a great combo to have. I think if you dont get a stud, you have to have 2 guys you can depend on and waiting can be fine. This is one of the better late combos

RB: Marshawn Lynch(1), Alfred Morris(2), Carlos Hyde(8), Terrance west(13)

Lynch should be good for another strong season. Morris will get the carries more than likely in Washington. I expect him to benefit the most from Desean. Hyde looks like the top rookie and here is hoping he lands in Tennessee. I usually punt this position but I went out early last year in most SL's and try something new. West is an intriuging prospect and I really like what I have read about him. But that is risky at this point but that is the point of this game. HOpefully I hit on a Bell again this year even though it did not help me much a year ago.

WR: Keenan Allen(3), Micheal Crabtree(4), James Jones(9), Brandin Cooks(11), Jeremy Kerley(14)

I like my top combo for waiting on them. Almost went AJ Green in the 1st but RB is so weak IMO compared to WR. This will have some shotgun to it the rest of the way for sure. I think Jones does fairly well in Oakland and will be the top dog there. Garbage points baby. Last 2 present a guy who will get catches just because I think in Kerley and a risk in Cooks but I am hoping for a Phillly or Carolina sighting with him. This area is still just okay overall and will need another

TE: Coby Fleener(7), Jermicheal Finley(10), Joseph Fauria(18)

Okay this is boom or bust right now. I really like Fleener over Allen in the end. Hopefully he continues to progress. Finley is a huge wildcard that if he signed in GB right now, probably been in the first 4 rounds of this draft. In Seattle, he is in the 1st 5 rounds. Could be huge pick. Will probably have to grab another here though. My other being Fauria is not bad grab and gives me a TD guy who could provide some nice weeks for me. Makes me feel better about this position

D: Rams, Falcons. Rams to me is the big play team and with picks this year, they will improve more. I expect them to trade out of the 2 and add another 2nd rounder in this deep draft. Falcons are going to add Clowney or Mack and have spent this off-season and they should have a rebound season. Like the combo'

PK: Crosby, Sturgis. 2 guys I know will have a job come September. Cant say that about all PK's and some guys are going to only have 1. Hopefully make up room on them.

let's not get too carried away on the Finley love here.....dude had two vert's fused together in his freeken neck....and failed his physical in SEA....I disagree with the 4th and 5th round assessment....thats an awful expensive price to pay for a guy coming back from breaking his freekin neck.....to me (IMO) he is undraftable in these....obviously I assume your comment is based on him actually being signed, so there would be some indication that he is good to go, but even then,I'm not sure he still doesn't get passed on and falls past the 5th round in these....it's not like he was tearing it up pre-injury......roster spaces are valuable in these, where you got him seems about right signed or unsigned....he would need to have a monster year to justify a 4th round pick, let alone a 4th rounder with a bad neck....

It was assumed for 4th round, that Green Bay signs him again. Tht 5th round was Seattle. I ike the upside of him. If this guys are signing him than he must have passed a battery of tests. YOu either go big in these things or pack it in early. I dont care if I finish 16th or 4th. I want a top 3 spot and like the risk reward of this guy. He is no different to me than any other player coming back from a major injury at this point. Gronk is going to start the season on PUP but he still want pretty darn high. But huge reward for the risk if he is ready to go.

On Finley and Fleener.

I've got this one dynasty team, 1.5 TE PPR, and I have these two on the team. In general I'm heavily invested in Fleener across multiple leagues. I only mention this to say I'm rooting for these guys but more than anything follow them closely. But all rooting interest aside as I sit here today both of these guys are in very different situations but one thing they share in common is I don't feel like right now I can or would want to count on either of them being in my starting lineup next season. I understand this is a best ball league but my point is neither of these guys are players I feel should be counted on for fantasy production based on what we know today.

I've tracked Finleys situation very closely and througly and I do think he'll get cleared but I'm putting that at more like 70% chance, so 30% chance he never plays again which to me is to big a risk for where he went. The good news is I don't think he's limited in any way if he's cleared. It's not that kind of injury. He's either not medicaly cleared and never plays again or he's good to go. If his injury needed to be managed, he would not get cleared. And it's not the kind of injury that should impact performance, like ACL recovery. But with the risk of him not getting cleared still very possible and possible crappy landing spot like Seattle he's just not someone I feel should be counted on right now.

Fleener is more of a puzzle to me but someone I'm likely to avoid in redraft leagues. On one hand most fantasy relevant TE's show significant statistical growth from year one to year two, so while he was not overly impressive last season his growth curve was exactly what you like to see. Obviously the big issue is the targets/playing time. I had always thought Wayne getting hurt was more of a boom to him than Allen getting hurt since Wayne was such a target monster in that offense but either way if you were rooting for Fleener and could have hand selected two players to get hurt to aide him statistically this is the two I'd have chosen. Now they return, and I happen to think Wayne still has more left then people think, and add in Nicks to the equation. To further muddy up the situation I don't think the Colt's used Fleener in the role they really wanted to last season, meaning he was forced to play as as a classic inline TE way more than they ever hoped. So in some respect Allen should assist him and I think he'll definetly be a more efficeint receiver but the volume/playing time may be tough to come by if Allen beats him or they negate each other. If that happens I see the only way for Fleener to have a good year is if the Colts use the two TE as their base offense but with TY/Wayne/Nicks that seems unlikely. The presence of Chud should not be ignored so there is hope. I think of NFL players Fleener most reminds me of Cameron and Olsen from a size/speed and physical perspective and both of these guys saw their careers turned around by Chud. So there is some hope for him but again right now he's not a person I'd want to rely on.

At the 18/19 turn I was looking to draft one WR and one RB but I couldn't pass up drafting both Ace Sanders and Nate Washington. Ace Sanders finished at WR62 last season and I was able to land him at WR 87. He finished as WR62 in his rookie season. I'm not saying we are going to see a huge jump from Ace Sanders from year 1 to year 2 but I wouldn't be surprised if he finishes somewhere in the top 50 for WR's. The Jaguars have said they see Ace Sanders as a Darren Sproles-type of player and want to use him in that capacity. Nate Washington finished around WR35 last season and I was able to land him at WR88 as my WR7 on my team. He has never been a flashy player but he has put up decent numbers. Now I do see a downtick coming this year if Justin Hunter does emerge. Maybe finishing somewhere in the 45-50 range at WR but still a good steady WR7 backup who will put up the occasional big week. Washington had three weeks of 21,23, & 26 last season plus another two weeks of 15 &16 points. At WR88 I will take a few weeks of big production and get a few scores from him.
