Always is. Hasn't a 'drama free affair' in far too long IMO.Gonna be quite the interesting offseason that's for sure.

Something happened during the end of season evaluations. Gamble wouldn't have been escorted from the building unless there was some serious anger and disagreements. He was literally thrown out of the building by security. At least that's how its been reported. Why the timing? Yeah, but others have brought up Carroll and he's been successful. And in some ways, maybe being a college coach might prepare you for this since they are in charge of both coaching and personnel there. Obviously, many college coaches have failed miserably doing both but we'll see. The other thing is that Roseman might not be a bad personnel guy (I think he has gotten much better), but now he was expected to do personnel for completely different schemes. Chip does things differently and obviously has a plan so it really wouldn't be fair to either guy to leave it status quo.Polish Hammer said:I hope Chip handles the increased power better than Reid and Rhodes did. That part doesnt concern me as much as him just being way off on a guy's value. I understand and get "if your player is there you pick him" but you can't be rounds off IMO. Love the picks or not but Howie got extra guys before the players Chip actually wanted. That's a pretty big deal IMO.Exactly.Let's say we enter a world where TB is willing to trade the #1 pick. The more I think about this the more I don't like it. I'll onvioisly give Chip a shot but this could be the beginning of the end for him. He HAS to get a legit NFL GM. A lot of risk but I guess it makes sense....his 1st 2 years were strong so give him more control now as its not something you do right off the bat and risk him being Spurrier.Agreed. B: Chip realizes there's a lot of risk in this move, and is smart and seeks help.
Let's all hope that Chip is a B type guy. But if he does go down option A, at least we won't drag out that he could be the coach for us and he won't be around much longer if we don't see success. Big test Lurie is giving Chip, I like it.
The worst outcome for us would be holding onto Chip for too many 10-6 non superbowl seasons. It could be argued we did that with Andy for too long, and this move shows that Lurie isn't going to let that happen again.A lot of risk but I guess it makes sense....his 1st 2 years were strong so give him more control now as its not something you do right off the bat and risk him being Spurrier.Agreed. For sure.....we are kind of at an awkward stage as after the long run with McNabb/Dawk/Douglas/Trotter etc we were due for some serious rebuilding and hard years I thought. We somewhat sidestepped that it seems with the Vick years being decent but haven't really had that run of high draft picks restocking our roster. If Chip is able to step in and take is to the next level I think that will be pretty amazing, given in this day of free agency its not like you have to rely totally on the draft. The worst outcome for us would be holding onto Chip for too many 10-6 non superbowl seasons. Either Chip is a genius and takes us there, or he fails (to either draft well, or get proper gm help) and we cut him loose and find the guy who will.
Hell No.A buddy said he heard this, no confirmation at all just a rumor he said he heard but would ya...
Foles, McCoy, Cox, 2015 1st and 2nd
For
Number 1 overall.
Hate losing Cox but I think I would be ok with that.
Would this mean we are giving up our first rounder this year as well? Or keeping both.A buddy said he heard this, no confirmation at all just a rumor he said he heard but would ya...

Seems like too much. I guess if he is really practically Luck, then you do it, but I would rather try to build around Foles and sure up the secondary.A buddy said he heard this, no confirmation at all just a rumor he said he heard but would ya...

Same. Reminds me of the Lindros deal years ago, hated that too. But do you think TB would even do this? I doubt they would. Bryan Bennett. Former Oregon QB. Transferred to Southeastern Louisiana.Just curious as I don't watch a lot of college fb, are there any QB'S that could go later that would have potential in this system like Hundley/Prescott? Where we would keep Foles and try to develop someone that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

I took the question as purely hypothetical. I can't imagine any team taking Shady's contract and isnt TB OK at DT?Same. Reminds me of the Lindros deal years ago, hated that too. So basically the Bucs get two players in walk years, an overpaid RB with a cap hit of $12M at a position of depth, and two lotto tickets. Why would Tampa do this?renesauz said:I would HATE that.A buddy said he heard this, no confirmation at all just a rumor he said he heard but would ya...

You think that's on par with what the Rams received? And if you find yourself wanting to do this trade yet laughed at the RG3 trade Washington made you may need a CT scan lol
Probably better as the Rams had a chance of missing on some of the pics.Grahamburn, on 05 Jan 2015 - 10:21 AM, said:You think that's on par with what the Rams received?Bigboy10182000, on 05 Jan 2015 - 09:45 AM, said:And if you find yourself wanting to do this trade yet laughed at the RG3 trade Washington made you may need a CT scan lol
The Rams got future picks. In this deal, as opposed to getting picks they'd be getting Foles, McCoy and Cox. That's way worse IMO. What picks would those guys be in a draft? You think that's on par with what the Rams received? And if you find yourself wanting to do this trade yet laughed at the RG3 trade Washington made you may need a CT scan lol
But McCoy at his salary is almost a negative. Better off spending 12 million on the o-line. Foles and Cox might be worth a 4th at best on a one year deal. Try to trade McCoy and his contract. I doubt you'd get many bites at all.The Rams got future picks.
