*Official 2015 Philadelphia Eagles* - Winning when it doesnt count (4 Viewers)

Tebow has already been in the weight room an hour this morning.
One of the Houston talk show hosts said this morning that the only think that would have made the Tebow signing better is if the Eagles had signed him on Easter Sunday. I laughed at that.

6 of their 7 picks from last year they had players in for visits correct?

How accurate are these anyway? Just curious because I know for sure Beau Allen was there. I posted an article about him coming and Chip using a remote control car during the visit

Matthews was here as well

Philadelphia was one of three teams Matthews visited publicly before the draft along with Carolina and Tennessee. He worked out for four or five other teams, but it was evident early on that the Eagles would be in play

Not sure they were official visits. Official visits are where they do medical testing and interviews.

You would have to think that almost all of a teams picks came in for a visit at some point. The only issue is that these lists aren't

really that accurate.

They leaked the first 3 games of the Giants. (@Dal Sunday night, ATL, WAS Thurs night)

That means the Eagles open Sunday during the day or Monday night. And they don't play the Giants until Week 4 at the earliest.

Just read a tweet that leaked Eagles finish the season against the Giants at home.

No Landon Collins? Interesting.

5 home games in 7 weeks at end of the season will be nice though. I do like the cowboys after the bye though.... but sucks we don't get them in november or december when they usually slow down

Week 1 - at Falcons, Monday, Sept. 14, 7:10 p.m., ESPN

Week 2 - vs. Cowboys, Sunday, Sept. 20, 4:25 p.m., FOX

Week 3 - at Jets, Sunday, Sept. 27, 1 p.m., FOX

Week 4 - at Redskins, Sunday, Oct. 4, 1 p.m., FOX

Week 5 - vs. Saints, Sunday, Oct. 11, 1 p.m., FOX

Week 6 - vs. Giants, Monday, Oct. 19, 8:30 p.m., ESPN

Week 7 - at Panthers, Sunday, Oct. 25, 8:30 p.m., NBC

Week 8 - Bye

Week 9 - at Cowboys, Sunday, Nov. 8, 8:30 p.m., NBC

Week 10 - vs. Dolphins, Sunday, Nov. 15, 1 p.m., CBS

Week 11 - vs. Buccaneers, Sunday, Nov. 22, 1 p.m., FOX

Week 12 - at Lions, Thursday, Nov. 26, 12:30 p.m., FOX

Week 13 - at Patriots, Sunday, Dec. 6, 4:25 p.m., FOX

Week 14 - vs. Bills, Sunday, Dec. 13, 1 p.m., CBS

Week 15 - vs. Cardinals, Sunday, Dec. 20, 1 p.m., FOX

Week 16 - vs. Redskins, Saturday, Dec. 26, 8:25 p.m., NFL Network

Week 17 - at Giants, Sunday, Jan. 3, 1 p.m., FOX

Thoughts:
Week 1: At Atlanta. Will be tough. Falcons much improved, and will be hungry at home.

Week 2: Vs Dallas. Short week for Dallas. We get them right away nice and early which hasn't happened for us in a while.
Week 3: At the Jets. Should win this one.
Week 4: At Redskins. 2nd consecutive road game is tough, but not like NY or WASH are very far to travel.
Week 5: Vs Saints. Rematch of that playoff loss 2 years back. Lucky to have saints on the road, they've struggled a lot there recently.
Week 6: Vs Giants.
Week 7: At Panthers. Great time for this game. Should be a tough game but just had a couple home games. Car coming off a long trip to seattle.

Week 8: Great time for the bye.
Week 9: At Dallas. Love this timing. Dallas off a short week, us off of a bye. We need to win this game.

Week 10: Vs Dolphins: Great timing. We are the THIRD straight road game for Miami here (after two tough div games on road)
Week 11: Vs Tampa: Another winnable game. Winston vs Mariota??? ;)

Week 12: At Detroit: Thanksgiving game early in the morning.
Week 13: At Pats. Tough one obviously, but at least we have 10 days of rest. Pats coming off of a Thurs game so full week rest though.
Week 14: Vs Bills. Shady returns to Philly! Should be a tough game... revenge on the mind and both teams fighting for playoff spot.
Week 15: Vs Cards.

Week 16: Vs Skins. Three straight home games here.... Need to avoid the upset.
Week 17: At Giants.

Not playing anyone after a bye.

Did they release the pre-season schedule as well?
Yep.

Sun Aug 16th vs Indy 1pm

Sat Aug 22nd vs Balt 7pm

Sat Aug 29 @ GB 8pm

Thurs Sept 3 @ NYG 7pm

Seems weird we'd play the Giants in the preseason. We usually play the Jets in week 4 of Preseason so maybe that was a typo.

@EliotShorrParks: After traveling 17,530 miles in 2014 regular season, Eagles only go 6,820 miles this year. #SportsScience #Eagles
No extended road trips as well. I like that it's two home, two away, etc. With a three game homestand for 13, 14, and 15. Nice.

Love the schedule, and with at least 4 prime time games (including Thanksgiving) and two more tentatively scheduled Sunday night games: that's a ton of national exposure for Chip.

Time to FLY EAGLES FLY!

(The two Sunday nighters are late enough in the season that we shouldn't count them just yet, although it's a pretty safe bet they'll keep at least the Giants game.)

Sow what's the over/under of how many coaches get fired if Chip win 10+ games this season?

It's not interesting. He can't cover and will be exposed severely in the NFL. I wouldn't be shocked if he's not even on our board.
I did a mock for fun, and he didn't make it to the first round.

Anyone else catch Melissa Stark stating on NFL Network last night that, right now, the only QB on the Eagles roster who has won a playoff game is Tim Tebow? She may want to do a little research into that.

Interesting

@JimmyKempski: Every year a few bad NFL teams become good & vice versa, but notion that NFL is wildly unpredictable is overblown: http://t.co/tqEMFwVbvF
I don't know if one year's worth of data is necessarily conclusive.

2012-2013

8 teams changed by 5 wins or more, as opposed to 3 in 2013-2014. Average number of wins changed was 2.75 vs. 2.22.

Team, 2012, 2013, Change Houston Texans, 12, 2, 10 Atlanta Falcons, 13, 4, 9 Kansas City Chiefs+, 2, 11, 9 Washington Redskins, 10, 3, 7 Philadelphia Eagles*, 4, 10, 6 Arizona Cardinals, 5, 10, 5 Carolina Panthers*, 7, 12, 5 Minnesota Vikings, 10, 5, 5 New Orleans Saints+, 7, 11, 4 Detroit Lions, 4, 7, 3 Green Bay Packers*, 11, 8, 3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 7, 4, 3 Baltimore Ravens, 10, 8, 2 Chicago Bears, 10, 8, 2 Jacksonville Jaguars, 2, 4, 2 New York Giants, 9, 7, 2 New York Jets, 6, 8, 2 San Diego Chargers+, 7, 9, 2 Seattle Seahawks*, 11, 13, 2 Cincinnati Bengals*, 10, 11, 1 Cleveland Browns, 5, 4, 1 Miami Dolphins, 7, 8, 1 San Francisco 49ers+, 11, 12, 1 Tennessee Titans, 6, 7, 1 Buffalo Bills, 6, 6, 0 Dallas Cowboys, 8, 8, 0 Denver Broncos*, 13, 13, 0 Indianapolis Colts*, 11, 11, 0 New England Patriots*, 12, 12, 0

Newest one I heard today:

Browns- Give up: Pick 12, Pick 19. Get: Bradford, Pick 20, Eagles 2016 3rd Rounder, Titans 2016 2nd Rounder
Eagles- Give up: Bradford, Pick 20, 2016 1st Rounder, 2016 3rd Rounder. Get: Pick 2

Titans- Give up: Pick 2, 2016 2nd Rounder. Get: Pick 12, Pick 19, 2016 Eagles 1st Rounder

Means Chip spent Foles + 2016 1st + 2016 2nd for the move up for Mariota.

(also we would improve from swapping 3rds, giving up ours and getting St. Louis' back)

Greg Hardy suspended for first TEN games of 2015! Holy. Ok now I'm happy we play Dallas both times before week 11.

(also we would improve from swapping 3rds, giving up ours and getting St. Louis' back)
If you're the Browns why not just give up 12, 19 and 2016 1st for Mariota? Bradford may only stay there 1 year AND may not even stay healthy.

Because then you are giving up a 1st, instead of getting a 1st, a 2nd AND a 3rd.

Mariota plus:

2015 2nd

2015 3rd

2016 2nd

2016 3rd

OR

Bradford plus:

2015 1st

2015 2nd

2015 3rd

2016 1st

2016 2nd + 2016 2nd

2016 3rd + 2016 3rd

Rounds 4-7 remain unchanged. Bolded are extras you get having bradford over mariota.

I wouldn't be surprised if it gets knocked back to 6 or so on appeal. Either way, he's definitely not playing in Week 2.

Ya I'm pretty sure his appeal will drop it. I'm hoping it drops to 8 games so that ours will be his last missing game.

It's reported we aren't talking contract with Bradford. Worried if we don't get that done before the season, but maybe we're waiting to see what plays out at the draft. Would for sure give him more leverage if we don't draft a QB though.

Chip is still in wait and see mode. Supposedly that's why Cox and Kendricks haven't received deals either. They don't want to have long term contracts for potential trade pieces on draft day. Once it passes and we don't have Mariota, expect a deal for all of them pretty quick unless he's hellbent on getting rid of ALL of Howie's players.
