I Side With . com : to find out where you are politically

Recommended Posts

https://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz

Not sure when it was updated but they do have current political races in play. I think it reads cookies or something because on the bottom of the link it shows me Wisconsin races... I assume it would show you races where you are.

This could be a resource for voters who may not be up to date with people and issues.

I completed every question with many in the "other stances" scenarios.

73% Democratic

68% Socialist

62% Green

56% Women's Equality

39% Libertarian

35% Republican

21% Constitution

The "Ideologies" box at the bottom has a big four direction arrow. My star is fully in the < part of the arrow on the Left Wing side. I am one full box to the right of the other Left Wing parties. Mine is also slightly towards the "Legislated Equality" side of the <.

The socialist number is higher than I thought. I suspect it’s because I put such a high priority on immigration issues. I certainly don’t agree with them on trade issues.

Super interesting.  Funny thing is when I just answered the quick displayed questions only it was much heavier D and S.  The more sections I open up and answer more questions the more Republican and libertarian come in the play.  On the Ideology graph it has me dead center of the graph covering the “C” in centrist.  That’s pretty accurate as that’s how I’ve always thought of myself.

43-59% on everything.  Makes sense.  I'm not moderate on any single issue, but, about half and half on each side still puts me in the middle.

I think this is key in this website. Take a few extra minutes to further diagnose personal opinions to narrow the scope.

Oddly enough, now, bear with me,  The Constitution Party isn’t aptly named.

If you agree with 75% or more of the socialist party platform, does that make you a socialist?

I don’t think it does. I think to be a socialist you must want the state to own the means of production. It seems to me that the current positions of the socialist party represent greater liberalism rather than true socialism.

I’m also curious about how the strong libertarian people here answered the immigration questions: libertarianism has traditionally been for as close to open borders as possible, and always supported amnesty (see Reason magazine, the Cato institute, etc.) Yet I note that some of the people here with the strongest libertarian results are also those who have disagreed with me quite strongly about immigration. So I wonder if there is a flaw in the program.

I came up pretty high libertarian.  The three questions were:

1: should we build a wall.  No

2: should immigrants be deported if they commit a serious crime.  Yes

3.  Should adults that are illegally attempting to cross the U.S. border be separated from their children?  This is a flawed question as you don’t really know if the children are theirs or not. So I said yes.

dont know what that tells you, but, there you go.

I answered more than 3 questions on immigration.  I identified more with the GOP, then Constitution and Libertarian on immigration issues.  I think on most other issues Libertarian was first in what I identified with.

I guess this is why people can't peg what I am.  I took the test until I quit.  It gets boring when you have to hit other, then get a bunch of bs choices.

All I asked is if you were afraid of what the results might say? How is the poll flawed? Surely, you have evidence to back up your claim.

78 Constitution

71 Republican

62 Libertarian

28 Women's Equality

21 Democratic

17 Socialist

17 Green

I am surprised to see Socialist score so high on this forum.

I think the ideal party would be one that was equal parts constitution, libertarian, and green.

The Ds and Rs have proven they are nothing but puppets for their donors. Say whatever to get elected and then just keep doing what they've always done. It would be nice to see a change but unlikely given the current system.

An opinion doesn't need evidence there, chief.
