[Dynasty] 2020 NFL Draft Class (5 Viewers)

Speaking with Fran Duffy on the 'Journey to the Draft' podcast, Reese's Senior Bowl executive director Jim Nagy pegged Texas senior WR Devin Duvernay as the fastest offensive invitee to the bowl.

"He can absolutely fly," Nagy said of the 5-foot-11, 210-pound Duvernay, telling Nagy that if the senior had focused on track, rather than football, coming out of high school, he "probably would've been close to being an Olympic qualifier." Duvernay was timed at 10.2 seconds in the 100 meters during his prep years. You can expect him to put up blazing hot numbers at the NFL Scouting Combine come the spring, as he looks to lock down a mid-round selection for the pros.

Appalachian State redshirt junior WR Corey Sutton earned perfect passer rating when targeted in last week's game against Georgia State, according to Pro Football Focus.

To manage a perfect 158.3 passer rating over 10 targets is quite impressive. Sutton (6'3/200) brought in eight of those targets for 173 yards and three touchdowns, earning him more than 20 yards per catch en route to blowing out Georgia State. Sutton has been one of the Group of Five's most productive WRs this season and should be able to finish the regular season on a high note against Texas State and Troy over the next 10 days.

Colorado State junior WR Warren Jackson posted six receptions for a game-high 95 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 17-7 loss at Wyoming.

Jackson (6'5/190) had a pretty outstanding stat line considering the Rams had just seven points on a bone-chilling night in Laramie with temperatures in the low teens. He has managed six or more receptions in six straight contests, and at least 88 receiving yards during the impressive span. He is up to 69 receptions with 1,035 yards and seven scores across his nine games. Jackson needs just 46 yards to have the seventh-best single-season receiving yardage total in Rams history. His 69 catches are also tied with Keli McGregor (1983) for the seventh-most in a single season in school history. The Rams finish up with Boise State next Friday.

Nov 23, 2019, 1:27 AM ET

Charlotte senior RB Benny LeMay (Achilles) has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

LeMay (5'9/215) is currently less than 100 percent, as he's considered to be doubtful for the 49ers' game against Marshall on Saturday due to an Achilles tendon injury. As for the Shrine Bowl invitation, the senior running back has racked up 822 yards and seven touchdowns with an average of 5.8 yards per carry. And it's important to note the LeMay hasn't appeared in a game since October 26; he'd be well over 1,000 yards if not for the Achilles injury. The senior running back projects to be an UDFA this spring, and hopefully he'll be able to get back to full strength before the end of the season.

Virginia senior WR Joe Reed has accepted an invitation to play in the East-West Shrine Bowl.

Reed (6'1/215) is one of the most versatile players in college football, as he's been named a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award. And his production on special teams as a kick returner has surely caught the attention of NFL scouts. In addition to posting a receiving stat line of 61-530-5, Reed has racked up 743 kick return yards with two touchdowns (21 attempts). He currently leads the FBS with an average of 35.4 yards per return. For Day 3/UDFA players special teams play will be their most likely path to a roster spot, and that's where Reed will need to make an impact.

What teams do you see drafting a RB in the 1st 3 rds next year?

Detroit?

TB?

NYJ?

Miami?

Chi?

Was?

Cin?

KC?
Not sure but I don't think RB is a high priority for some of these teams because they already have a good starter, but they could definitely be looking for a better back up.  These teams include Cincinnati(Mixon), NYJ(Bell), Detroit (K Johnson, and Chicago (Montgomery).

Oklahoma State redshirt sophomore RB Chuba Hubbard rushed for 106 yards on 26 carries while catching seven passes for 88 yards in Saturday's 20-13 win over West Virginia.

Ho hum, another 100-yard showing for Hubbard. The 6-foot-1, 207-pound redshirt sophomore has topped the century mark in every game this season but one. Through 11 games played, Hubbard has now rushed for 1,832 yards and 20 touchdowns. He has been an out-and-out monster this fall and we can't wait to see what he does against Oklahoma's increasingly flagging defense next Saturday.

Nov 23, 2019, 3:19 PM ET

Iowa senior QB Nathan Stanley completed 18-of-35 passes for 308 yards with an interception in a 19-10 win over Illinois on Saturday.

This was not a very good football game if you're a fan of efficient (note: good) offenses. Stanley and the Hawkeyes had most of their drives stall late, as they kicked four field goals in the victory over the Illini. Stanley (6'4/243) just hasn't made the improvements necessary to turn Iowa into a true contender/him into a high draft-pick candidate, but it was good enough for a win on Saturday. Iowa will have a chance to get a ninth win on Friday against Nebraska.

Nov 23, 2019, 3:20 PM ET

Liberty senior WR Antonio Gandy-Golden caught six passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 55-27 loss to Virginia.

Liberty didn't come away with the win, but Gandy-Golden (6'4/220) extended his touchdown streak to four games. However, Gandy-Golden's 60 yards were the second-fewest he has caught in any game this year, with the New Mexico State matchup being the only worse performance. Gandy-Golden will get his chance at revenge against NMSU next week.

Nov 23, 2019, 4:07 PM ET

Notre Dame senior WR Chase Claypool hauled in seven passes for 60 yards with a touchdown in a 40-7 crushing of Boston College on Saturday.

It's a far cry from the four touchdowns he scored against Navy last week, but it's another solid game for the 6-foot-4, 229-pound wideout. His touchdown -- the tenth of the season -- came on a six-yard slant from Ian Book that gave the Irish a 13-7 lead that they never looked back from. Claypool and Notre Dame have a great chance at a tenth win next Saturday when they take on Stanford.

Nov 23, 2019, 5:55 PM ET

Boston College junior RB A.J. Dillon ran the ball 14 times for 56 yards in a 40-7 loss to Notre Dame on Saturday.

The 56 yards rushing for Dillon are easily a season low, and it's just the third time this season that the powerful 6-foot, 250-pound tailback has been held below 4.1 yards a carry. Simply plut, if Dillon isn't rumbling, this is a bad offensive football team. In what could be his final game as a member of the Eagles, Dillon will take on Pitt next Saturday.

Nov 23, 2019, 5:54 PM ET

Stanford junior TE Colby Parkinson caught four passes for 60 yards in Saturday's 24-20 loss to Cal.

Poor, poor Parkinson. An NFL-caliber tight end trapped in an utter sinkhole of an offense. The 6-foot-7, 240-pound junior owns a 45-552-1 receiving line in 11 games this season. He'll take on Notre Dame next weekend, after which it'll be decision time for the draft. Should Parkinson declare, he'll be in the Day 1/Day 2 mix. Don't hold Stanford's failings against him too much.

Nov 23, 2019, 8:14 PM ET

USC senior WR Michael Pittman caught 13 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 52-35 win over UCLA.

Pittman (6'4/220) came through with a pair of shorter touchdown catches in the second quarter on Saturday and notched his fourth game this season with double-digit receptions before all was said and done. He finishes out the 2019 regular-season campaign the owner of a career-best 95-1222-11 receiving line while playing through the full 12-game slate. The senior wideout is one of a number of intriguing skill-position players who will be looking for draft glory in the spring. Pittman is a likely Day 2 selection for April, but we wouldn't completely discount the possibility of his pushing for Round 1 with a strong evaluation process.

Nov 23, 2019, 7:37 PM ET

Texas senior WR Devin Duvernay caught 10 passes for 78 yards in Saturday's 24-10 loss to Baylor.

Regardless of Texas' team success, Duvernay continues to earn his numbers. Duvernay (5'11/210) has now picked up at least eight receptions in six consecutive games, proving himself to be the offense's most reliable chain-mover in the pass game. Duvernay's high production volume in 2019 has done wonders for his draft stock and he continues to make a good impression as the season dwindles down.

Nov 23, 2019, 7:08 PM ET

Baylor senior WR Denzel Mims hauled in seven passes for 125 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 24-10 beat down over Texas.

Mims' longest gain of the day was 26 yards, so it's not as though one massive play boosted his production. Mims (6'3/215) was constantly chunking the Texas secondary for solid gains to keep Baylor ahead of the sticks and Texas' offense off the field. The star senior WR has now scored at least once in the past four games and will look to continue the streak against Kansas next week.

Nov 23, 2019, 6:58 PM ET

Georgia junior QB Jake Fromm completed 11-of-23 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 19-13 win over Texas A&M.

Fromm (6'2/220) started out in abysmal fashion, missing on several long passes before finally settling in a little in the second quarter. The junior signal-caller hooked up with George Pickens for a 16-yard touchdown pass with 6:44 remaining before halftime to give UGA a 13-3 advantage. That would be the team's only touchdown of the contest, but HC Kirby Smart's crew would manage to keep the lead through to the end of the contest thanks to a determined defensive effort. Fromm has done little this season to pump up his draft stock, having thrown for just 17 touchdown passes in 11 games. He misses frustratingly often when he has open deep targets. The Bulldogs will take on Georgia Tech next weekend to close out the campaign, after which they'll be heading to the SEC Championship Game, having already won the SEC East.

Nov 23, 2019, 6:57 PM ET

Vanderbilt senior TE Jared Pinkney caught five passes for 76 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's 38-0 win over East Tennessee State.

Pinkney (6'4/255) had been blanked in the touchdown column all season before he finally broke the seal on Saturday via a 31-yard scoring grab in the first quarter. And then, seal broken, he found pay dirt a second time late in the third quarter, on a seven-yard grab. While the senior owns a paltry 20-233-2 receiving line on the year, those numbers are not indicative of his talent, more indicative of Vanderbilt's painful passing offense. Pinkney has NFL talent removed from this whole mess.

Nov 23, 2019, 6:42 PM ET

Vanderbilt senior RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries in Saturday's 38-0 win over East Tennessee State.

Vaughn (5'10/218) notched a two-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter, then topped himself significantly via a 75-yard scoring sprint just after halftime. The senior is up to 1,015 yards and 12 touchdowns across 11 games played this season. Vaughn will look to finish his career with a strong showing against Tennessee next weekend before he begins his prep for the draft in earnest. Vaughn will be heading to the Senior Bowl in January and could potentially land as a Day 2 selection in April.

Alabama junior WR Devonta Smith caught four passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns in a 66-3 victory over Western Carolina on Saturday.

Smith (6'1/175) caught a quick out and used his speed to turn it up the right sideline for a 57-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The rout was on from there as Alabama thoroughly dominated the inferior FCS opponent. Though teammate Jerry Jeudy received the majority of hype entering 2019, it's been Smith who has emerged into the top wide receiver for the Crimson Tide. He has caught 56 passes for 1,026 yards and 11 touchdowns this season as Bama improves to 10-1 heading into the Iron Bowl next week.

Nov 23, 2019, 9:45 PM ET

Utah State redshirt junior QB Jordan Love completed 21-of-36 passes for 229 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Saturday's 56-21 loss against Boise State.

Love (6'4/225) was able to start despite an undisclosed injury putting his start in doubt. QB Henry Colombi, who is considered the future in Logan, was able to get into the game and go 6-for-11 for 78 yards, no touchdowns and one interception while running for 25 yards and a score. Plenty of NFL personal were on hand to watch Love against Boise State, including Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard. Love is certainly one to watch heading into the 2020 NFL Draft if he elects to come out.

Nov 24, 2019, 4:10 AM ET

Colorado junior WR Laviska Shenault posted seven receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 20-14 win against Washington.

It was Shenault's third 100-yard game of the season, and he was fittingly on the receiving end of QB Steven Montez's record-setting 61st passing score to set a new school best for his career. Shenault has 145 receptions, eighth-most in school history, and he has 1,900 receiving yards to rank 11th and 10 touchdowns. He'll look to add to those totals next Saturday at Utah in the regular-season finale.

Washington redshirt junior QB Jacob Eason completed 21-of-34 passes for 206 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Saturday's 20-14 road loss at Colorado.

Eason (6'6/227) and the Huskies tumbled for the fifth time in 11 games, as they have gone from playoff hopeful team entering the season to one which has barely qualified for bowl eligibility. There's a good chance they could end up at .500 through the regular season, as they face the high-octane offense of the Washington State Cougars in the Apple Cup next Friday.

Nov 24, 2019, 3:30 AM ET

Utah senior RB Zack Moss posted 26 carries for 203 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 35-7 road win at Arizona.

Moss (5'10/222) averaged an impressive 7.8 yards per carry in the 28-point victory, and he easily went over 1,000 yards for the season with his fourth consecutive 100-yard game. It was his highest rushing total since he hung 211 yards on UCLA at the Rose Bowl back on Oct. 26, 2018, a game which he also scored three times on the ground. He has 1,158 rushing yards with one more game on tap against Colorado next Saturday. His rushing yards is the ninth-best in Utah school history, and Devontae Booker's 1,261 yards in 2015 is in reach, the sixth-best season total.

Nov 24, 2019, 3:13 AM ET

Utah senior QB Tyler Huntley completed 19-of-23 passes for 211 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Saturday's 35-7 win at Arizona.

Huntley (6'1/205) also rushed for seven yards in the 28-point road victory, and the Utes kept their playoff hopes alive and well. He was careful with the ball and very efficient, but the key to this victory was Utah's work in the run game. They posted 297 rushing yards (5.9 yards per attempt) with four scores. The Utes will wrap up the regular season at Rice-Eccles against Colorado.

Mississippi State junior RB Kylin Hill rushed 16 times for 153 yards in a 45-7 victory over ACU on Saturday.

Hill (5'11"/215) has picked up the pace by rushing for at least 150 yards in three of his last four game and putting up six touchdowns in that time frame. Hill has been a force for the Bulldogs so far, rushing for 1,215 yards and ten touchdowns with a robust 5.8 YPC. Obviously Hill was simply too much for Abilene-Christian, as he averaged a whopping 9.6 YPC in the contest. He will face a much stiffer test when Mississippi State plays in-state rival Mississippi on Thanksgiving.

Nov 24, 2019, 3:11 AM ET

Oklahoma senior QB Jalen Hurts completed 11-of-21 passes for 145 yards with two touchdowns and an interception while rushing for 173 yards and two scores in a 28-24 win over TCU on Saturday.

The Sooners relied on their run game more than we typically see; running 64 times for 366 yards in the close victory. Hurts was responsible for half of that yardage -- with Kennedy Brooks picking up another 149 for good measure -- and the dual-threat quarterback was able to run for multiple scores for the fourth time in five games. That gives him 17 overall to go with 30 touchdown passes. Long story short, Hurts (6'2/218) has been an ever-so-capable replacement for Kyler Murray in 2020. His final regular season game comes next Saturday against Oklahoma State.

Nov 23, 2019, 11:24 PM ET

Arizona State senior WR Brandon Aiyuk turned seven catches into 161 yards with a touchdown in a 31-28 win over Oregon on Saturday.

There are very, very few receivers who are playing as well as Aiyuk is right now. The senior scored arguably the biggest touchdown of the season for the Sun Devils when he connected on an 81-yard touchdown that extended Arizona State's lead to 31-21 with just 3:54 left in the contest. Aiyuk has improved his stock as much as any skill-position receiver in the country this year, and the Senior Bowl selection was excellent on Saturday against the Ducks. He should be on point next Saturday against Arizona, as well.

Nov 23, 2019, 11:14 PM ET

With Tua injured and Fromm, Herbert, and Love not living up to expectations, the QB draft class of 2020 is looking really weak all of a sudden.

Aiyuk and Darby looked beastly that game. Not sure how ASU hasn't won more games this season.

I disagree slightly, but I never liked Fromm or Herbert in the first place.

I think Tua is still a top 5 NFL pick - falling to a better team probably helps him.

Burrow has earned top pick consideration, even if Tua didn't get injured.

Hurts has elevated himself a ton.  Eason looks like a late first round pick himself.

I think we still have 4 potential 1st round QBs.  Herbert and Fromm could still get 1st round consideration as well - I'm not a fan of either one but they aren't horrible prospects either.

Yeah, I wonder how much Tua will drop. I could see a range of possibilities. If he actually can throw for teams before the draft (though those reports seem to be based on a Tweet from Rapoport, so many grains of salt) maybe he doesn't drop very far. Plus teams will have their own medical staffs evaluate his recovery pre-draft.

Nobody expected Burrow to be a top pick (especially not me as an LSU fan; it still doesn't seem real that he's this good) so he's an addition to the class. I also was never overly high on Fromm from a ff perspective. I do wish Herbert had come a little further in his development. I like the options in the late first/early second in superflex because some of the guys (I like the calls on Hurts and Eason) could be solid options depending on who else is on the board. Tua could also become a real value if he drops.
