Dallas's D was shredded by Flynn...in the second half. Anyone that started Flynn last week was probably having a heart attack at halftime.
Which Dallas D shows up today? First half or second?
I'm holding DET & StL. I had been leaning Lions, but your post has made me lean Rams.
In addition to all the awful stats you listed, Detroit turns the ball over a LOT. NYG is #1 in give-aways (39), but DET is #2 (31). Even if Eli doesn't put up many points, Stafford could put up points...
It's sucks that he got hurt, but I like that it highlights that:
Every player should be required to wear a facemask that makes a broken jaw impossible.
:goodposting: Did none of the rest of you watch the game?
Miami was getting tons of pressure. When this happens, RBs & TEs are kept in to pass pro; so Vereen ran far fewer routes. When Vereen did run a route, it was usually from the backfield, and Brady had to throw the ball too soon...
I'm playing for a championship with Harvin on my bench ($3 waivers).
I'm a big fan of holding players. While Harvin hasn't helped me at all, Gordon, Blackmon, Vereen & A. Brown have all done their part to get me to the championship. You take the good with the bad.
The people in this...
I love Keenan Allen. He is a remarkable, unique blend of small guy quicks/route running in a big guy body.
As talented as he is, we can't expect him to score every single time he touches the ball! He's only touched the ball 5 times in the last 126 minutes of play. If that continues, he's...
Because it can work. This time the Chargers passed the ball 20 times and ran it 44 times. If DRC doesn't drop his man coverage or if either of the other Bronco DBs make a tackle, K. Allen's stat line is 2-28 1TD.
...and it's going to be the Ryan Matthews show again next week against the...
You're aware they played just a month ago, right? In that game, the Broncos went into halftime ahead 21-6, yet the Chargers ran the ball 35 times and passed it 29 times.
As an Allen owner, I'm hoping they realize it's more important to score TDs on every single drive than it is to milk the...
The biggest concern for the entire SD pass offense is that the Chargers may try to "slow the game down," "keep the ball out of Manning's hands," and "keep their defense off the field." If announcers are spouting those cliche's in the first quarter, it could mean trouble for the SD passing game...
In the first game, the Chargers tried to run the ball a LOT to "keep Manning off the field."
I hope they now realize the primary objective should be to score TDs.
Flash reminds me of drafting a system generated WR with 99 speed in Madden.
One missed tackle, one failed attempt at playing the ball, and he's gone.
At some point, that has to get in the head of DBs, "Okay...don't play the ball; just make the tackle. Don't let him behind you. Don't jump...
not all blizes turn into actual pressure. I imagine most QBs have pretty poor ratings on plays where they are pressured (includes all sacks, hit as throwing, intentionally throwing the ball away, etc.).
