Thanks. I mis-keyed.Tokyo is +14 hours compared to central time. It's 2:15 AM. They do not do daylight savings time over there.
Not to mention Kane hasn't been exactly tearing it up. Looks lethargic.#### England lineup, no Foden, Sancho or Rashford. Instead we get more of Sterling and now Saka. At least Grealish is starting.
I don't get Southgate at all. I'd be livid if I were a 3 lions fan. What's the point of even including these young players in your Euro squad if you're not going to play them because they "don't have enough experience."#### England lineup, no Foden, Sancho or Rashford. Well, of those mentioned (Foden, Rashford and Sancho) the only one that hasn't gotten time is Sancho. And I'm guessing Southgate just doesn't rate him and see him as an integral part of this years team. Rashford is still recovering somewhat and he's seen him plenty - Foden just played a bunch in back to back games so giving him rest makes sense but I would think you would do the same with Kane and/or Sterling. My guess is he's hoping to get Kane a goal and then probably sub him for Rashford or Calvert-Lewin. I was hoping Henderson would be ready - Rice has shown me very little.I don't get Southgate at all. Really wish they would rotate so we could get one good audio a matchNot sure which match should go on the big tv with sound and which one should be relegated to the side monitor.
England gets Ian Darke and Robson, the other match is Derek Rae and Ekoku. Hmmm
Twellman is going to call every gamereally hoping for no US announcers, in the next round.
Kane brace - upcoming.
This interchange reminded me of the Nigel Tufnel joke from years ago that would probably get someone banned nowadays.Leg or elbow?
Thanks GB. Having a work TV turned on silently with soccer in the background really makes the day go by faster. Especially when you're gambling! Olympics could be fun too.Japan is exactly 14 hours ahead of central time.(No idea what their stance is on daylight savings though). So likely going to be a TON of morning coverage as most events will happen in the evening. Probably going to be some solid late night viewing for the night owls too.
Ha the run of play flipped pretty much immediately after I posted this. 1-0 CroatiaFeels like Scotland have one coming
Really tough for Scotland now - need to score 2 to advance when they haven't scored a goal yet.Ha the run of play flipped pretty much immediately after I posted this. 1-0 Croatia
Own Goal rally time!Really tough for Scotland now - need to score 2 to advance when they haven't scored a goal yet.
You damn MancI could be wrong about this but that last offside is why I don't think Kane will be otherworldly for City - he's a fantastic player but I don't feel like City are setup to have a 9 score 30 goals. United on the other hand....![]()
I've thought that for a while - City would be better off going for Danny Ings.I could be wrong about this but that last offside is why I don't think Kane will be otherworldly for City - he's a fantastic player but I don't feel like City are setup to have a 9 score 30 goals. I think Southgate really only has two decisions to make for their knockout matchIts so sad when Sterling has England's only two goals this tourney since he has been so poor he shouldn't even be on the field.
Sadly with Sterling you may be right. He does have their two goals despite being so poor over three games. And as bad as Kane has been, he has to play. Hopefully the self quarantine keeps Mount out of the lineup too. He spent most of the last game marking Shaw and Sterling instead of getting on the ball. Not sure he fits in well with this set up and Kane.I think Southgate really only has two decisions to make for their knockout match
Rice or Henderson (I would trust Henderson to tell me if he can go and if he can I would take him over Rice)
Saka or Foden (Foden is really talented but didn't do a lot in the first two games to make him an auto-start - Saka has looked great; which means Southgate will probably start Foden)
The rest seems set to me:
Pickford, Shaw, McGuire, Stones, Walker, Philips, Sterling, Graelish, Kane
Mount will be available, no chance he doesn't start imoI think Southgate really only has two decisions to make for their knockout match

No chance England win the next game.Mount will be available, no chance he doesn't start imo
Darke said they are both back on the 28th.No chance England win the next game.
Only 4 possibilities (ETA - I need to stop doing this analysis myself3rd-Place Teams vs. B1 vs. C1 vs. E1 vs. F1

I think these are the possible scenarios left with a Croatia win.
)Also, they both had negative tests. It is beyond comprehension. I don't think Chillwell even played in the game, just had an interaction with Gilmour afterward.I don't even understand why Mount and Chilwell weren't available today. They are close contacts with Gilmour but the entire Scotland team isn't? What?
oh I know. But I don't think it matters if Mount starts - he shouldn't - but it won't matter.Darke said they are both back on the 28th.
