Prior to the Columbia Fireflies game against the Phillies’ Single-A squad, the Blue Claws, Tebow overthrew one of his teammates in embarrassing fashion. The ball soared into the stands, where fan Doug Brustman says it squeezed through a railing and drilled him squarely in the groin.

From the New York Post:


“I hear this guy behind me yell, ‘Watch out,’” said Brustman. “And as he’s yelling, the ball comes right through the railing and hits me right in the nuts. It was a direct hit.”

As the 45-year-old, Manchester, NJ resident was doubled over in pain, he was able to squeak out one question: Who threw that?




“It was literally like a Seinfeld episode. The guy behind me shouts, ‘It was TEBOW,’”      said Brustman. “It reminded me of his days with the Jets when he couldn’t complete a pass. This guy is so inaccurate, even with a baseball.”

At this point I am feeling a bit bad for Tebow. I mean he's not someone I am fan of but he seems to be genuine. He seems to work hard. I am over giving him crap at this point. Yeah his name gets him some breaks, welcome to America. Yeah he comes off a bit holier than thou. Which is why I am not really a fan but still give the guy some space. Maybe it's just me. But my sense of enough already has kicked in.

The last time I went to a J-E-T-S game was Thanksgiving Night, 2012. The game was memorable for a couple reasons: it was the Butt Fumble game, and Fireman Ed quit at halftime. But for me the most memorable moment was pregame warmups.

I went with my cousin after spending the day feasting at his house, and we took our boys, who were then 14 and 12. We went much earlier than we normally would to see warmups and because the boys hoped to get some autographs. The Jets were running 7 on 7 drills in our end, but Tebow was working on the side (still on the field of play) one on one with a backup TE. Wearing shorts and a tank top - dude is a beast, phenomenal physique - he would simulate taking the snap, drop 3 to 5 steps. The TE was running simple button hooks or slants. The throws could not have been more than 15-20 yards.

Every. Single. Throw. Was off target. I'm surprised the backup TE didn't pull a groin muscle. Behind him, way high, in the turf. It was incredible. I think they ran 15 plays and Tebow never came within 5 feet of hitting him on the numbers.

By all accounts, great guy. I know he's not everyones cup of tea, but I believe Tim Tebow is absolutely sincere. He comes across phony to some but I'm pretty sure it's just because he is an unusual person. Would love to see him succeed at something. But that boy cannot throw a ball to save his life.

He has hoped to be a pro athelete all his life, I'm sure he can go do college stuff on espn when he's done. Hes made some money already, it's not like he's spending it on hookers, blow, and a posse. You assume he could play fullback but he's never played there, isn't physically built to play there (he would have to add weight, not that he couldn't), and there are maybe 16 FBs in the league anymore, and they all make low end money, and you take a beating. Maybe he likes church but not supporting the money grab of mega-churches. I don't know how much that would really pay anyway, those guys would probably compel him to do it for free. Someone there is banking a lot of money though, unless you believe it all actually goes to "gods work"

Could've played some position with his athleticism for 5 to 6 years.  I saw former Mizzou qb brad Smith stay in the league awhile just doing special teams and some wr.  He could've played, not for much money but more than he gets now
