I think a crappy waiver period is better than no waiver period at all.
Not my point.

I never called for no waiver period.

I only sought to be able to pick up newly released players before their game started. Once the last game kicks off, all players are locked and go to the waiver wire. Thus the bidding process.

My apologies for not being more clear on stuff I never typed.

And I don't think our flex lineup options are working. Because when I wanted to take a midfielder out of my lineup, it would only allow me to put in another midfielder even though I already three others in the lineup.

Really I am up most days by 5am. So it is nice to have something to do.

I like watching the Indian Super League, most of their games start at 5 am pacific time.
There’s a two week period where our daylight savings time change is ahead of there’s. 4:30 kick-offs ftL

What are you trying to do?

In theory - take a M (Buendia?)  out - put them in your reserves - the bottom RES button (i.e. don't click on either of the M)

Pick a player from your reserves - either D or M, since you already have 3 F - and put them in your starters.
Yeah, I didn't realize you had to hit the reserve button first to put him down there. Wasn't understanding how it worked. Think I have it now.

Is it possible to get a notification when your player is not in the starting lineup?
Download FOTMOB. Follow the players on your team and you’ll get lineup status notifications. It’s not always the full hour before the match starts but it’s something.

Just to be clear on this, btw, I was responding to Sinn’s breakdown of our Fantrax-limited choices, which seem to be a complicated, convoluted mess - or nothing. Wasn’t saying you called for no waiver period or really responding to anything you said at this point at all.

Sorry for not being more clear on stuff I never typed.

Fantrax does a good job of telling you who is starting as soon as the lineups are announced, so if you just check the site an hour before game time you should be good.

It’s definitely easier the further East you live. Last night, Firpo was basically a GTD for Leeds this morning. No chance in hell I’m getting up early to check, so I decided last night to bench him. Lucky for me, as he did come on at half but ended up posting -7.5

I wasn’t going to be able to field a full lineup as of ten minutes ago, but there were tons of defenders with green checks available. I think we’ll be fine with that brief waiver period for guys who are dropped Saturday morning, still plenty of options

Understood, Bruh

My apologies

Just had this conversation with my son:

We are watching a fixture and not a game.

We are watching the players on a pitch and not a field.

We are watching players wearing boots and not cleats.

We are watching players wearing a kit and not a uniform.

So in summary, we are watching a fixture and not a game on a pitch and not a field and the players are wearing boots and not cleats and the players are also wearing a kit and not a uniform.

The English are strange birds.

On the subject of Waivers - I don't get the sense that we reached a conclusion on the issues of dropped players - other than the fact that they need to pass through waivers.

I will throw this out there - in my other leagues, waivers run Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:00 am ET - same deal - any player dropped bus tgo through waivers, but at least they run twice a week.

Also - is there a preference to run waivers during the day, when people are at work, and thus better able to participate, or keep them at night?

I do like the idea of twice/week.  In fact now that I think about it I like Tues and Thurs.  (Fri night is too close to games on Sat.)

I'm ambivalent on day or night.  If we do day I guess we could do Wed/Fri, but if it is night I'd prefer Tues/Thurs.
